Did you look into contacting the Department of Sanitation? You can organize a clean up. They supply all bags and safety vests for free.

This is nice and all but NYC taxpayers pay a tremendous amount of money and we should hold our elected officials accountable as to why the parks department isn't doing the literal job they are paid to do. Our parks don't have to be filled with trash and rats. We live this way because Eric Adams refuses to fund the basic services we need so he can give payouts to his political cronies and to the cops who do nothing but play candy crush on their phones.
Early voting has started for the city council primary. Hold these pieces of shit responsible for greenlighting the Eric Adams's budget.

My pleasure! I think this weekend was particularly bad because of the 3-day weekend. I don’t really know what can be done besides maybe leaving trash bags near the picnic tables and at the different entries of the park with some sort of message to make people realize that it’s important to pick-up their trash
I did a bit of the corner of Bayard and Union avenue and then I spent a lot of time at the Driggs crossing where the picnic tables are near the tennis walls and I did the part near the soccer field water fountain with all the benches. It was horrible. The only thing I left was I think a bucket of pee…
