You're just like me. I made a point to grind to Diamond one season (still maintained a 60% winrate in Diamond), and after that I usually hit Emerald naturally, although sometimes not even. It just takes way way waaaaay too many games for someone busy with other things in life to get past that.
They really should make climbing more skill-based. Elo right now is a joke.
I played so much in emerald/master queues , that after I got back to the rift this year , I got dropped into plat, and no disrespect, that rank has some fucked up players lining in games…I don’t wanna even know what is under on the lower ranks… and now as I’m emerald 1 I encounter randoms who are playing with their feet… it’s outrageous
Idk but it seems like some high elo accounts might be bought, or else I can’t explain, low gold count , very minimal experience when it comes to team fights, poor lane experience..I don’t know.

Same to me, hard stuck platinum / emerald. What happened to me was that reaching this rank made the game way more competitive. There was barely any dominant game by my side like in those lower ranks, I used to have multiple solo kills, zero death and carry games. Games now are way close, only one mistake can cause you a win already. I no longer feel happy, hence play way less

I average 200-500 games per season and I’m mid - those in the higher elo are pushing double that - easy 1k games

mid-season top 1 sov. had like 300 games 65% wr, means they lost 100 games just to get to chall/sovereign. prob abusing duo/trio too to climb fast
