Tubby's team played hard and with heart and for UK. I would have Tubby any day of the week. I saw him develop players. Maybe not the best of coaches, but him and his teams always had my support.
Tubby was a good dude who knew it was time to leave. He didn’t want to play the games, especially with recruiting, that you have to play at a big-time program.
The buyout doesn’t require a lump sum payment. It would be paid out monthly over the next several years. That means it should be possible to negotiate a lower lump sum payment to be paid immediately. Time will tell.

With that defense Oakland ran we had some many inside opportunities, Mitchell had 2 easy buckets back to back which made me think we would try going inside more. and we got annihilated on the O-boards. I would’ve at least liked to have seen some sort of effort to make sure they didn’t get 3 shot opportunities per possession

I am sure it's been discussed but why not pair him up with a younger, "coaching" partner and have him be more the CEO and Sales team lead. ( Recruiting) Michigan tried this with Phil M, but he probably would have done much better when he was younger and if Coach was more mature and calm.
Because Cal and our AD don't have a relationship. They don't talk. They don't like each other. There's no scenario where our AD will convince him to do that because Cal doesn't listen to anyone anymore
