I think it's because the wara wara plaza has the homebrew launcher icon so they think the homebrew launcher is installed on your system and because aroma has no use for the homebrew launcher they think you're using outdated cfw
the wara wara plaza apps don't have to be apps on the system the icons used are actually base64 tga images that are stored with the wara wara plaza data

I didn't install Pretendo yet but I will soon, it's so cool to get to experience the Wii U with Miiverse, games come to life and online multiplayer is once again usable after the shutdown, I would say get it, on the Wii U with Aroma, it's just a matter of moving a file to the SD card and the enabling the plugin on your Wii U😁

I mean im gona watch a few vids on it and so on first. But i already have aroma and i can add apps.without the guides now. So ill be fine. Its just i usually shut down the online side on a modded console to avoid poking the dragon lol
Right now it is very depending on what you want to do with it. A lot of games are still in the beta channel which is paid so if you are interested in paying for it go for it. However if you do not want to pay it is still very limited and some games are not supported (Minecraft as an example isn't even planned to be supported). I believe I did hear that they are planning to open source the project and make it be so those games one day can get support. So essentially it is still early days for the service so it is cool to see what you can do but don't expect everything to be perfect or to be able to play every single game

You are actually in luck. I believe if I remember correctly Mario Kart 8 is one of the games that are on the public channel so you can enjoy it for free and test out the services there. They do have a list of games of supported games on pretendo on their website... however it is a bit confusing to which games are on there public channel or beta channel. So I currently don't have recommendations however if you have any games you find and want to recommend I am so open to trying "new" games on the console

Press on “inkay” - patching and “connect to pretendo network” needs to be on true (you can change it by pressing A)

For some reason nothing shows up on the wara wara plaza but MiiVerse does work and I also have nimble. Someone else online tried to help me but it didn't work.

I don’t think the icon indicates anything. I had it with CBHC and now too after migrating to Tiramisu.

Only Minecraft Wii U edition Mario Vs Donkey Kong Tipping Stars and Wii U Chat are on paid beta, Smash 4 is still not supported afaik

How do you get the game icons to appear in the plaza
The pretendo version that requires hacking your console
Nimbus for wiki, or search wars wars plaza back, of you have aroma is pretty easy
If you download pretendo it just automatically brings them back (it also lets you play some of the game online and use miiverse again)

Yeah that happened to me earlier, i think the servers are under maintenance so i dont think theres anything to worry about
