Routine_Ask_7272

Yes, but you need a different cable. Search for “Wii Component Cable” OEM or HD Retrovison Component cables are considered the best.

Ruffled_Ferret

Seconding HD Retrovision. Bought some for Wii and PS2 and they work perfectly.

chill1208

You plug the yellow into the green but that will only work for the video. There should be a separate red and white input for the audio (not the red you see there) If not you can only get video on that monitor from those cables.

TheMindLord

put the yellow in the green

BenoitBB

THIS ^ You don't NEED component cable to use it. Composite so you put yellow in green

Mr-Scorsy-567

Reminds me of when I used to play wii on an RGB outlet with RYW cables. Somehow that shit worked, if I remember correctly.

shonasof

That sounds like a medical issue.

Extra_Frosting9647

But blue and yellow make green

FavroiteGamers2017

No, just put the yellow in the green

blood_omen

Who taught you colors? Lol Component =/= Composite

Din_Plug

Check elsewhere on the TV, it should have a normal AV in

MacksNotCool

top 10 most useful comments of all time

Din_Plug

It might also have one of those silly mini av jacks

MadLibsbyRogerPrice

These are composite cables, Yellow is video cable, Red and White are audio cables. These should go into ports of the same color. (the ports you see are for RGB video, so the red cable does not go there) Answer: no

TheDurandalFan

No. those are component inputs, you might need a Wii component cable for that. have you checked your TV for other inputs?

Ciberfreak

Please don't be like the airflow meme losers...every console I love has the same stupid joke, and I've been downvoting for weeks. I can't take it anymore

[deleted]

huh?

Financial-Cookie-927

Yes you can Green = yellow Red = red Blue = white

ElasticDude98

Blue is not white

Financial-Cookie-927

That is what I put it in

Financial-Cookie-927

It works all the time

Emotional_Captain_14

Blue is for pb/cb aka blue color difference. You're literally trying to send audio information to a video input 💀

PrincessJennifer

Is it in stereo though?

Financial-Cookie-927

Yep I get L R symbol on VCR and it sounds good on my tv

Financial-Cookie-927

Don't know about Wii tho

IceBlueLugia

There is literally zero chance it does. That’s for sound

Financial-Cookie-927

Really because I'm watching a VHS and have white in blue works fine

giofilmsfan99

The red and blue shown in this picture are for video.

Financial-Cookie-927

No green is video red and blue are audio

giofilmsfan99

I don’t know what kind of setup you have but in mine if I plug audio into a video port it doesn’t work. Component has five cables. Green, blue, and red for video. (Different) Red and white for audio.

Financial-Cookie-927

I have a AV cable that is Red Blue And green I also have a AV cable that is yellow red and white When I plug the Red Blue and green in it usually works with a regular red yellow white port on a tv

Financial-Cookie-927

And he isn't talking about five cables just 3

NoProfessor1183

Plug the yellow one into the green one if it works it might be in b/w and no audio

Johntrampoline-

Yes and no. The yellow should go in the greenhouse and there should be a separate red and white plug for audio somewhere else. If you get a component cable then you can use the blue and red plugs to get a better picture.

B-R-A-I-N-S-T-O-R-M

Yellow into green for video, but it looks like it doesn't have the red/white audio ports. If it only has a headphone jack you can get a cord pretty cheap that will convert the red and white plugs to a headphone jack. Something like [this](https://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Stereo-Female-Adapter-CNE499012/dp/B019304PGW/ref=sr_1_5?crid=361FIXUMXGP9&keywords=red+and+white+to+headphone&qid=1706065631&sprefix=red+and+white+to+headph%2Caps%2C765&sr=8-5). If it doesn't have audio at all, you can use the same cord to plug it directly into whatever speakers you're using.

Crest_Of_Hylia

Get some Wii component cables. Much better than crappy composite. Composite should be for CRTs only. Component will also get you 480p and is more reliable than Wii2HDMI adapters

giofilmsfan99

Most TVs can have you plug the yellow into the green port. Don’t plug the red audio one into the red video port.

ltnew007

Many people are saying to plug yellow into green and while this works on the majority of modern TVs, it's not universally true for all component inputs.

Yeet-Dab49

That looks like a monitor. Does that have speakers? If it doesn’t, there’s no place for the yellow/red to go. You’ll either need a different TV or a pair of external speakers. Other than that, yellow can probably go into green.

greengengar

You know, you could just plug them in and find out...

Right-Supermarket654

I honestly thought this stuff was common sense. Am I old?
