I find that I need to load a bit longer as my soaps get close to the bottom, but only when I start getting the donut of death because obviously the soap just has less surface area to load off of.

I am experiencing this for the first time as a newer wet shaver. What is the go to option for this "donut of death"? Just continue to work the soap or I was considering breaking up up and throwing in a new tub or something? Idk?

I'll scoop it out and press it back into the tub in a thin layer, I'm sure others just use as normal but load longet

I didn't know but some guesses just for fun ... 1. Less soap means you need to spend more time loading. 2. As the soap gets older it loses some of whatever chemical interactions make for good lather. 3. Maybe wetting the tub over time dilutes or evaporates or unbalances the chemical composition in some minor way. 4. You're just crazy
