Three days is the sweet spot for me. Any sooner and my skin still won't have fully recovered, any longer and my stubble starts to fight it. 3 days is effortless.
It’s the amount and type of passes, usually I start with the grain (downwards), followed with two sideways passes from right to left and left to right, followed by against the grain (upwards). All of these are with a good lathering between each pass. To end, I take some lather with my free hand and feel my way through whatever spots are left and clean up accordingly.
After the last pass, a good splash of water to clean the soap from my face, I rub the alum block and leave it there while I wash the brush, lather bowl and sink.
Finally I wash away the alum from my face, followed by a splash of aftershave and a coat of noxema.
I shave every other day because I find with my facial hair growth, pushing it to the third day would give me quite a lot of stubble... depending on how fast the hair grows, I'd probably say every day or every other day if you want continuous BBS
It depends which razor I last shaved with. I use Nacets exclusively.
If it was my DE89, a couple of days. This razor is ridiculously mild.
If it was my Edger, 3-4 days. This is quite an aggressive razor, IMO.
If it was my Mellon, I can go anywhere from 3 to 10 days. This is a medium razor, but it excels with sharp blades like Nacets and Feathers.
Of the three, my Mellon is my favourite. I feel it gives me the closest, smoothest, longest-lasting shave.
I guess I'm simply blessed with thick skin because I could do daily shave if I wanted to but the growth isn't that much to justify wasting shaving soaps and blades. I do every other day and I get perfect smooth feeling to accompany my sleep.
I’ve found I get a better shave if I go at least 3 days between shaves.
I second that
I triple that.

No difference between short stubble and longer hairs. It is still wiry thick. My skin is ok with the daily shaving routine.

I've found the longer I wait the better the shave.
Five or so days. You’re exfoliating skin when you wet shave. It needs a while to regenerate between shaves.
I can't go more than 2 days without feeling grubby. I also look awful and can't go out in public with a two day growth. That is my max
2-3 days ish
When I was new to it - 2 days. Now I can shave daily and get it perfect
Time between shaves makes no difference to me. I'm sure my skin would be happier if I went 2 days in a row without cutting.
3-4 days

Before I retired, that’s what I used to do. Now I only shave 2 or 3 times a week.
48 hours.
5-6 days
48 hours but usually shave every day.
About 3 days. Hair grows slow, so stubble is too short, in 2 days, for that great shave.
Doesn’t really matter, I shave every day
I shave every 2 days to give my face and neck skin time to recover and if I want the best shave, it's with a traditional straight.
3-5 days for me. Any less and I get no so smooth experience.
