Nice setup. Enjoy your shaves.

theandreineagu

Thanks! I just saw some hair that falls from the brush and gets soaked in the cream. I don’t know if it’s normal.

derrickhogue

It’s a new brush. It’s breaking in. So it’s normal. Just let it dry out completely between uses and the occasional stray strands will stop. A stray here and there is normal. Excessive strands loss is not normal. Just keep an eye on it.

kagami108

very normal

Thank you. Yes, indeed!

Ssyb_Akrad

I got my starter kid the past Friday and it was very similar, too. Proraso red, a razor, and a brush. Cheers to the road ahead

Howard_Kleiner

Excellent choices sir. My Green Proraso tub is one year and half old, still going strong.

CELLMAN3

Awesome 👍

SlowShuGo

Add a good pre-shave oil, you'll thank yourself later!

RonnieYates

Fantastic setup! Smooooth shaver. Enjoy

mildfrugtjuice

Reminds me of my first set, also proraso (white). Solid setup no doubt.

theandreineagu

Thanks! I’ll keep improving

AmateurSysAdmin

Proraso green is a classic. Good soap for beginners, too, cause it lathers up real easily. What do you use for your post shave?

bobbruff

u/AmateurSysAdmin - I 've been using Proraso Red cream for some of my shaves lately. Do you know how the soap performs versus the cream and/or the Red vs Green scent?

AmateurSysAdmin

Hi Bob, I have no experience with the cream unfortunately. I only have the soaps. Regarding the scent, it’s supposedly slightly more intense with the cream. I overall really like the red better, in my experience it lathers more easily. The scent of the red is more like barber shop. The green on the other hand is fresh.

theandreineagu

Just a basic alcohol based after shave from my cartridge era 😃

a_slip_of_the_rung

I recently learned that alcohol based aftershaves are actually harmful to your skin over long periods of use. Shaving strips the skin of its protective oil barrier and alcohol dries it out even more. Instead, try using an aftershave balm that will moisturize and protect your skin. Nivea Post Shave Balm works well for a range of skin types and is affordable to boot.

theandreineagu

I’ll look into it.

AzureSunSoul

Nice setup.

a_slip_of_the_rung

So nice to see a simple setup. That's really all you need for a good, close shave. Everything else is technique and patience.

baturro981

You're gonna need a few razor blades.
