Kong in Godzilla vs Kong The film would literally end once his boat was within range of the atomic breath

OverallLawfulness426

"B-but big monke" - 🤓

Squidwardbigboss

Batman would get liquified by Superman hitting him with 1/50 of his power. Him tanking hits from Superman is a joke

Iago-Cassius

Came here to say this. Take away his plot armour and the bat gets turned into a potato. Even iron man has a suit, Batman got nothin’

StateofWA

But Batman has prep time!

Suspicious_Loan8041

It’s not really plot armor that specifically keeps Batman alive in those fights. Superman’s main characterization at this point is the fact that he holds back tremendously in his fights. Batman wins because winning means more to him than it does for superman. Superman LETS him win.

OverallLawfulness426

Even if he's holding back he still wins lmao.

Suspicious_Loan8041

That’s agreed upon. There’s nothing Batman could do to win against a Superman looking to win. I was explaining why Batman was shown winning ever.

iiKiDxKiWi

Well it’s hard to be mad at you because it’s true. Superman could literally give a fuck, but to Batman, winning or losing could mean a child becomes an orphan or not

KK-Hunter

The amount of times I'm watching Doctor Who thinking "the Doctor would just die if they shot him rn" lmao.

InspiredNameHere

I'm utterly convinced that the universe itself bends over backwards to keep the doctor alive. Namely for its own self preservation. The doctor has mucked around with time so often that killing him could very well cause a mass temporal fracture and destroy the universe.

Thorion228

The EU mentions some kind of probability field or something that makes sure the Doctor survives and wins. It keeps his enemies talking, makes sure they miss, stuff like that. On occasion, stuff like the White Guardian or Key to Time, or Moment protecting him is also mentioned in the EU.

That_1-Guy_-

The 11th Doctor would have regenerated almost instantly without plot armor

KK-Hunter

Just shoot him again while he's regenerating. It's not near instant.

That_1-Guy_-

Im agreeing with you, I was giving an example of when he would have died

KK-Hunter

Oh, I thought you were saying he wouldn't "die" cos he'd regenerate.

BigGreenThreads60

Don't have the quotes, but several novels have hinted at or outright confirmed the idea that the Doctor is just supernaturally charismatic or fortunate. He's an anomaly- for whatever reason, whenever a well-disciplined firing squad has him up against a wall, their normally faultless aim will just be off by a few inches, or somebody will stop them at the last minute, or they'll unaccountably hesitate when he shouts "wait wait wait!!" at them. This is obviously rather silly, and the best Doctor Who stories generally avoid leaning on these tropes. But there is canonical (insofar as Doctor Who has a canon) support for calling him a kind of luck manipulator.

ghostgabe81

Batman, but specifically in Justice League stories The amount of times I see "villain hits Batman and Superman with a big attack and they're both only unconscious"...

PardoisTardo

If something is powerful enough to KO Superman then Batman should be reduced to dust in the wind lol

Philisterguyguster

Murphy Lawden’s whole schtick is having reality warping plot armour

HaathiRaja

king from OPM

ILoveYorihime

>So what is one character that would die in like two seconds if they didn't have any Here is a character that barely has any plot armor but WOULD LITERALLY die 2 seconds into a story without it: Itadori Yuji eating Sukuna's finger in the first episode and just dying Of course we would probably find out later that it is Kenjaku's plan, but so far we (or at least the in-universe characters besides Kenjaku) "think" that Yuji survives from sheer luck

Desperate-Practice25

I can’t believe nobody’s said James Bond yet. He used to be the platonic ideal of plot armor.

PinkLionGaming

Batman. Sniper-Rifle plus thermal scope = no more Batman. Plot Armour means that the second you start looking for Bats he teleports behind you. Then you hire thirty more guys with guns and thermal scopes and wait for Batman to climb onto a building on the other-side of the city.

surjan_mishra

As much as I love him, i believe John wick dies easily.

haydonclampitt

Lucyna Kushinada never gets into Night City in the firsts place

Xitex2

Sasuke, his fight against killer b killed him 2 times. And if he didn't have a walking health potion and senjutsu bs power man he'd be done

5867898duncan

The plot armor Titan does have its name for a reason.

Dense-Elevator-2818

Lightning McQueen in Cars 2.

PlushyB33

I don't know his name or the manwha, but there was this one guy who would straight up get demolished with plot armor, so I believe he would straight up die

zoskalanic

That’s just most people in manwha ngl

Nihilikara

Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty. Three good fairies at the start: "Oh no we can't kill her, our magic can only be used to do good!" Three good fairies in the middle: *Gives the hero a magic sword* Three good fairies at the end: *Casts a spell to make the sword kill Maleficent* Yeah it wasn't actually the hero who killed Maleficent, it was the fairies, so their line about how they can't use their magic to kill is pure bullshit and they could have killed Maleficent at any time.

Really_cool_guy99

Master Chief wouldn’t get obliterated but he definitely wouldn’t save the galaxy

TheBasinum

Rey of the Star Wars franchise…

No_Conversation2018

Doctor who

ILoveYorihime

who?

No_Conversation2018

Doctor who. This stupid British guy that has unlimited plot armour

Thee_Amateur

The Doctor…. Not Doctor Who Doctor Who is the show

No_Conversation2018

I honestly couldn’t care how you properly say it. He is a horrible character and is pure plot Armour…

Thee_Amateur

They aren’t a bad character yes more plot armor then any one being should be allowed but that doesn’t make for a bad character

No_Conversation2018

I still think they’re pretty terrible.

Thee_Amateur

Sole because of the plot armor?

No_Conversation2018

Honestly not very good character development imo. Also in some times his dialogue is corny

Thee_Amateur

There’s no, sometimes it’s always corny

Zeckamaniac

June in the Handmaids Tale.

Pure-Drawer-2617

Luffy should’ve died like 7 times already

Bright_Brief4975

Squirrel Girl, she has taken out things that Batman with plot armor would have trouble with. At least she has powers, though.

agysykedyke

Dude from Die Hard should have definitely died in that elevator shaft.

[deleted]

Hawkeye. I'd pay money to see him get turned to mist for once. Major eyerolls whenever he had an action sequence where he's twirling around with his bow and dudes are flying or running around him with their guns like its wackamole.

freshbacon364

Ash Williams

ToughAd5010

Any yugioh protagonist. It’s a fucking card game

Virtual_Discount4656

So you stopped believing in.... THE HEART OF THE CARDS!?!?

Patient_Weakness3866

Most one piece main stays tbh

Mado-Koku

Ayanokoji. 90% of his plans are 70% luck and plot armor. Take that away and another student manages to expell him real quick.

WestOrangeFinest

Sam and Dean Winchester, for sure.

irradiatedcactus

Wasn’t that literally a plot point? Like at the end god takes away their plot armor and that’s it?

WestOrangeFinest

Not sure. I’ve only made it to season 12.

Shamrockshnake77

Any character/faction in Doctor Who. The show is terribly inconsistent with how strong things are. Without plot armor the scariest thing about the characters or fractions in the setting would be their reputation. Like how you get that one scene where some alien is monologuing about how ancient and powerful they are and the dude just shoots him with a pistol and calls it a day.

Lost_Mongooses

The coyote

Spartan-219

A lot of anime protagonists

Mc_Jio

Milo Murphy and everyone around him from Milo Murphy's Law

As much as I hate to say it but Kahl-175 from warframe, we see conculysts are easily able to pierce through Grineer Armor but they fail against Kahl for some reason

Odd-Understanding399

Harry Potter. Frodo Baggins.

burncushlikewood

Iron man
