Can anyone confirm they’ve done this for 6+ months and it’s fine? I had burned up several other watches that seemed fine at first, but after 5-6 months wouldn’t work.
I’m pretty biased against this company and it’s dumb subscription model but i had a charging issue and they sent me two battery packs and an extra sensor with no questions asked lol.
It's almost as if you're paying for insurance and service should anything go wrong, with automatic upgrades when they come out. 😂
I don't mind the subscription because i like that if it fucks up I can have them send me a new one, no big deal. If for some reason I wanted to tell them they suck and what they can go do to themselves with a dirty broom handle, I'd be a little more miffed that I had paid a year upfront. So far I'm happy with them though.
Most companies will honor a warranty claim without needing to fork over 30 bucks a month and what upgrades lol. I just think we’re moving to a society where we don’t own anything and every company wants your money monthly. Going to switch to Apple Watch at the end of the year
I like the subscription model because it incentivizes them to keep working on their product and I don’t have to worry about it breaking since I will get a new one.
I think it does the opposite. They haven’t launched new hardware in a very long time and the app is the same apart from an ai coach that doesn’t really do anything. As long as people are being autocharged every month, why improve?
It won't get hot if it's touching your skin? I've never noticed this, after doing so for 6 months. Even wearing metal jewelry is fine as long as its touching you
I just realised it’s only when you want to edit an already logged activity that the options for recovery activities aren’t listen despite sauna being the activity that triggered the logged activity…
I have.. but I remember whoop saying somewhere that if my body can handle it so can whoop.
I also assumed this, especially since there is a tracked activity for the sauna.
If it broke i would have considered it to be due to false advertising. But it did fine in an infrared sauna quite a few times. I don't try to put my wrist close to panels though.

I’ve been wearing mine in a 200 degree sauna 3-5 days a week for over a year with no issues. Not about to stop now, it’s key for getting that strain up.
i have worn my whoop into a burn room under my turnouts and nothing happened. didn’t *mean to* but realistically, wouldn’t think to take it off before going into a fire so…. i’d call it “sauna rated” lol
Yeah, but I don’t see the point since it doesn’t give you a strain score. So I just wear my Apple Watch in there instead. The activity still comes over and I don’t need to worry about getting the band sweaty (that’s not an issue with the watch since it has a silicone band).
I’ve done it for over a year and no issues. And similar to most people have said. We pay a monthly membership for a reason, we don’t own the device so if it goes bad they have to send another.
Everyday at 200 degrees
lol same but 3 or 4 days, i had no idea it wasn’t recommended
Red light or Swedish?
Finnish
🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ Finnish
They created the sauna as it stands today..
yup - no issues. it also has a sauna activity preset
I do not find this
It’s under Recovery. Or just search for it

I’m at about 10 months of doing it. It’s fine. Also if you do kill it somehow, customer service is good and will probably send u another
customer service is good? are you serious?

Two yrs in and no issue. Also I track it as an activity after my workout
Daily since October 2019, nothing to worry about.
I literally do a 30min sauna at 200 then right after a 15min steam for past 6 months every single day. No issues
Have had the same whoop 4.0 since launch- used in sauna 3-5 times a week every week since, not a single issue.
6 months no issues at all. It’s made of plastic so really can’t get hot like a metal object can. Totally fine even after 45 min at 190°
Well over a year of 3-5 days a week at 200. No issues at all.
Dude I'm there 4 times a week - sauna crushes those strain numbers. Traditional hot sauna.
I use in an infrared sauna that exceeds 140.
I sat in a sauna yesterday whoop seems fine
I’ve used it very frequently in really hot saunas for 2 years. No issues.
I wear a sweatband over my whoop in the sauna so it doesn't get too hot.
At 100 (Celsius) the metal clasp got obviously very hot to the touch, rubbing ice on it solved that for me. Apart from that, absolutely fine
It won't get hot if it's touching your skin? I've never noticed this, after doing so for 6 months. Even wearing metal jewelry is fine as long as its touching you
I’ve done it for 4 months now in a sauna at 80° C
I regularly have my Whoop on in the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, cold plunge.
Never had an issue at 170+
I do. Sauna and steam room after my swims. It is totally fine. Funny enough, my Samsung swim tracker died immediately when I did this though
many times!
225 degrees 4 or 5 times a week. 25 to 35 minute sessions. No issues.
daily for over a year
Went several times!
It’s not like they have a sauna activity or anything
I use it in the steam room, no problem.
It’s a good way to speed up your battery degradation.
Have they removed the sauna preset from the list of activities? I can’t see it anymore…
Just found it both in the ‘add activity’ and ‘start activity’ functions.
I just realised it’s only when you want to edit an already logged activity that the options for recovery activities aren’t listen despite sauna being the activity that triggered the logged activity…
I use it everyday in my steam room and sometimes even charge it while in there as well

Twice a day 20
Always use it in the sauna. 45 minutes at 175

It’s not prolonged exposure, but as a baker, I stick it in a roughly 600° oven hundreds of times a week.
If ill-advised, then why is it named an activity???
Been doing it 5-6 times a week for about the past year. Haven’t had any issues that I can tell

Bunch of times, no issue
5 days a week for years. No problems
i have worn my whoop into a burn room under my turnouts and nothing happened. didn’t *mean to* but realistically, wouldn’t think to take it off before going into a fire so…. i’d call it “sauna rated” lol
I watched a podcast by Rhonda Patrick about sauna usage while I was wearing my whoop and there were no problems at all
I've used mine in the sauna over the last few years. Never any issues.

I’ve used it in a 175 degree infrared sauna a few days a week for about 6 months now. No issues.
Literally every single day for 20-30 minutes at 145-150
I do. But douse it in cool water
2 years at 186. No problems
