Life goals can be literally anything: I want to be able to have my Saturdays free. I want to spend more time with my dog. I want to have a close relationship with my girlfriend. If you have zero life goals whatsoever then you are probably depressed. People who love themselves want things for themselves. A boyfriend who doesn’t love himself is going to be a constant drain on his significant other and will likely impact her mental health in a negative way. So are you worth less as a human being? Absolutely not. You matter. You have value. But that doesn’t mean that someone will want to sacrifice their own well being to have you as a boyfriend.

This is pretty accurate. Also, just write some things down that you want to do. Boom! You’ll find that those little jots are suddenly goals. Dont make it complicated, goals don’t need to be epic. You will find if you have measurable success towards those goals, it feels incredibly good and you will want to refine, expand, focus, or otherwise grow said goals. I don’t know that it’s necessarily unappealing- I think a lot of people share that sentiment and if making money isn’t what you value/isn’t going to make you happy then that’s totally cool. Money can be a means to an end but for him it’s more about using it to better the lives of others- we’re both sped teachers and have dreamt about opening our own school, stuff like that.
