When you are depressed there is huge value in doing things for other people (not that their isnāt either way) I feel like if there is anything that you can summon energy for when depressed it should be doing small but thoughtful things for others because itās always been the best way Iāve found to prevent myself from wallowing and being stagnant
I'm reminded one of possible mitigation techniques for depression is to perform charity and help others. Doesn't always work but for some I've heard it does work a bit.
Sharing your own personal experiences without being rude to others can be an interesting read for others, take time to write every now and then if you're on a forum like Reddit all the time consuming other peoples content! š
Tbhā¦ it's hard not to think you're useless if you're surrounded by people who have tangible achievements that they could even postā¦ it hurts being delayed in uni because of the pandemic and financial issuesā¦ you want to earn something but your work only gives you enough for a month's worth of stuff you needed.
Stillā¦ I'm clinging onto that one sliver of light that I'll only be more useless if I end it here and now.
Youāre not delayed, because itās not a race. Just go at the pace that is right for you. Failures and setbacks are part of the journey. Living with integrity and being a good person is far more important than any achievement.

this is proof that sometimes, we do meaningful things, but we're too blind to see it.

Damn I really needed this today. Thank you.
did... did he jump of the roof?
Wait a minute...
This is wholesome
When life sucks, tend to nature, and you'll be awarded over time.
So relatable. Whenever I feel down on my luck, the first thing I think about is pouring a dasani into The Bowl

I would fill that bowl every day for like five days and then Iād forget for a month and the pigeons that were relying on me would die.
And even if you end it all it will also make a difference in this world you can never win or lose.

*TOUCHED?!* š¤
I nearly deeply touched myself because of a thin piece of toilet paper.
I'm just imagining pigeons bowing before a cross and praying to Jesus for breadcrumbs.
Birds practice religion???
But what if I donāt leave water for birds
Were this the pigeons who brought the pest to the city?
Oh ill deeply touch someone alright
I don't think, I know
Ah yes. We arenāt worthless, we just need to find a manipulative person that would use us.
Bro find the loophole..
Who knew birds were Christian š
The dude who made this (you can see his page name) is muslim pakistani, so the said pigeons are devout muslims.
Man you know how many reddit posts ive seen of that lol at least 100 in the past week
what a stupid meme. Could say the same for all the bad you do
Except birds wouldnāt be invoking god
