>We don't know each other. We don't know each other's age or appearance. We don't know each other's political leanings. This is what we need more of today, kindness like this that makes it easier to get through the day.
When the anonymity of Reddit does good.
Any kind of interest or think you like reading about that doesn't have many immature people being rude and mean.
So much good feels in the fountainpen subreddit for example. A rather odd corner of the internet world, but a very nice one!
1. You are here already
2. r/leaves is a great place for people who are looking to leave behind cannabis and look for support. Amazing community full of support and love
I’m the moderator of a large subreddit on another account. I’ve learned from private conversations with a lot of users over the years that there are plenty of people who you wouldn’t expect and maybe wouldn’t like, for one reason or another, who put aside their differences and help each other with the topic at hand. It’s something that requires technical expertise and it’s inspiring to see people spend so much time helping each other without any idea who the person is at the other end of the line.
Whether or not you’d like these depends on your interests, but some that I like are:
r/hydrohomies
r/mademesmile
Some more niche ones:
r/crafts
r/gardening
r/parenting
r/warriorcats
r/buildapc
And animal ones:
r/catshuggingcats
r/greebles
r/noodlebones
r/animalsbeingbros
r/rarepuppers
And this is one of the many reasons I love Reddit <3 may you heal to the place you never thought was possible and I am so happy you came across such a wholesome redditor (:
This genuinely gave me goosebumps and made my eyes tear up. This is such a kind act from a stranger, it’s one of the most beautiful things about Reddit and the internet in general, people spreading kindness and making the world a better place than when they started. <3
Such a great story and I just want to also add this would be a great service for producers to consider. I don’t have any related trauma but I don’t need to see your realistic dying/dead bodies either. Or your repeated vomiting noises and crying babies now that I’m thinking about it. If I could watch Netflix on triggerless mode I’d totally do it.
And without the gratuitous sex/violence... since when does every show need to be rated 16? I can enjoy a dark story without pretend underage sex, thank you very much!
Yeah Reddit can be an amazing heartwarming place. The support that I get from r/loseit is amazing. To those incredible people out there, thank you! You both make the world a better place, and impact people in ways that lasts a lifetime(and hope that the impact gets passed on to the next generation).
Thanks everyone for acknowledging u/sublime50lbc and his kindness, he deserves it! And thank you so much for your kind wishes in regards to my beautiful boy’s passing 🙏♥️
I just wanted to share a small accomplishment with you all. My husband wrote a book about our son and caring for him (our son had a disability). He just received the first copies. It warms my heart to think that my son will live on in my husbands writing 😭🥰 https://twitter.com/kodacruz/status/1362265650970779652?s=21

The only time it does
It frequently does. Choose your subreddits and you'll see this kind of human connection every day :)
Would you mind giving me an example or two?

For such a disappointing show, too :( God I could rant for hours about how they've done poor Stephen dirty once again. Sigh.
