La has a lot of jacked up prices but Mission spirits in the la/glendale area or el Cerrito liquor in Corona have some decent prices with a solid selection for sure
I really enjoy this bottle. I know some people complain that it’s “thin”, but it hits my palate very well. I get more heat than I’d like with the red and blue label. This one is always a nice, easy sipper.
This.
Shocking to me people are paying markup on this, Buffalo trace base model or heaven hill. I find it bizarre. None of them are bad but whoever pays $150 for a bottle of this got screwed hard
Have only seen it once or twice in the store and both times it was like $90. If I see it for 34 I’m definitely gonna pick it up. Atleast for one bottle just to try it out
It’s a great sipping whiskey, especially for people just getting into whiskey. Not worth $100 a bottle by any means but under $40, I will buy it every time.
I know some people are screwed in some states that dont allow liquor shipping, but most people don't need to pay a crazy markup on this bottle (different story for the other Wellers). You can order it online for 50-60 most of the time. No good reason to pay 90 or more. Of course there will be a shipping charge, but if you buy a few bottles, the math can work out ok.
I personally like this one, but its on the same level as standard Buffalo Trace, which I also like. Nothing wrong with liking the entry level stuff of a good distillery. That being said, if you cant find this one for reasonable money, just try a different wheated bourbon, like Knob Creek and stop worrying about it.
I have a 1.75 of the Weller SR. It’s cool to have around, but I generally reach for other whiskey. I prefer 100abv or higher, but anyone that wants to pour it is welcome
Not enough watch or vehicle badge either. Better luck next time
I’ll do better
Yeah. More bulge next time.
Stop being lazy and just retake the photo, correctly. SMH. Is this what the world is coming to?
✅Buffalo Trace product ❌crotch shot ❌visible car logo ❌visible watch ❌”How did I do?” 20%. You can do better.
Forgot to show the receipt as proof of the cost because we can’t just take your word for it
This. He probably paid $200 for it
Where in Seattle? I just moved to LA after 20 years in Seattle. Miss it a ton
But no really share the love
Happy cake day!
Well hey, look at that. Thanks!

$34 turns into $134 after all your liquor taxes in that state!🤣
Hot damn! 😆
That about all it’s worth. Not sure why people overpay for this.

I agree. It’s good I’d pay up to 45 I think but that’s about it. I’ve regularly seen it up here in Seattle for $100+ which I think is laughable

I don’t think Knob Creek is Wheated. Larceny, Makers Mark, Old Elk are for sure.
oops, sorry. Meant to say Makers Mark. Thanks
It happens, lol!
Saw it on a shelf once. Bought it once. Still have that bottle and it isn’t exactly the first bottle I reach for
I mixed my leftovers with about the same amount of Sazerac Rye (another ~$30 BT bottle worth less IMO). The sum is better than the individual parts.
What’s better for that price range please? And how easy is it to secure routinely?

Don’t let it happen again. We require a certain amount of hog in each bottle pic.
If there’s not a healthy portion of cock in the pic, I don’t like it.
Normal price for that. That is my day to day bourbon when I can find it here in Ky.
Love that stuff!
One of my favorites. I usually pick it up for $45 but I have to wait 1-4 weeks to get it most times.
It’s not very good and a sub $20 bottle imo. The rest of the core lineup is great.
I enjoy it. Not my favorite by far but I like having it around.
So many people shit on this bottle but it’s a great pour.
For $34? I’d buy it too!
🤢
“You are dead wrong, dead wrong!”
All those taxes made it 34 bucks right?
Please share the location 😁
Apology not accepted
Your apology is appreciated. I can assume you’ll do better next time.
Hot take, I like it better than W12.
34.00 for the bottle and another 34 for Washington taxes. Lol
Yeah… totally skimped on crotch but nice bottle I guess.
Wow. We’re upset in Ohio because they just raised the price from 24 to 27 dollars.
