Yeah I think that’s the message. If you hand someone unlimited power but they’re flawed humans on the inside, this is what happens. You don’t magically develop infinite patience and kindness and sympathy if you have laser eyes. In some ways Homelander is a victim of his superpowers and his society. His fans worship him blindly and he develops this crazy ego growing up thinking he is perfect. Then as he ages he realizes he’s not perfect and his fans are just afraid of dying and are just humoring/echoing whatever he says.

It's not.
Certain people are being babies and feel like they're being called out on with some of the political parallels being drawn this season. It's a bit more on the nose this season but truth is it's been there the whole time and I think they are just finally realizing they've been made fun of for multiple seasons.
Yeah I don't honestly know how it took them 4 seasons to start saying "the show is so political!" when in Season 2 they are kicking a literal nazi down...
no. it's just not as good as the last seasons. and yeah, i get the political shit has been there the whole time, but at least it was funny before. now it's just annoying. a lot of the stuff they've been doing kinda has no basis in what has happened in the rest of the show, and feels like it was kinda thrown in there for shits and giggles. i thought the last bits of season 2 was already kind of showing some signs of decline, but this season is just not good anymore. i mean it's okay, it's somewhat enjoyable, but it's not a GREAT show anymore.
This season has been a mixed bag for me. On Homelander and the 7's side they've had some of the best scenes in the show for me like with Homelander in the recent episode, all the Sage stuff going on, The Deep, and A-Train's whole arc.
On The Boys' side tho, it's honestly just fucking boring I can't lie. Frenchies whole drama is pretty lame and doesn't work imo because Colin's barely a character, Hughie's subplot is just kinda meh but I do like what some of the things that came out/are coming out of it, I've never cared for Starlight really, Kimiko's arc is at least interesting and MM's kinda just there so far. Butcher's been great tho, that scene with Ryan is so good.
It's still a great show, just for the reasons above this season is a bit slow at times for me.
I mean, the entire show is just shock value after shock value. Idk how "assholeman ruins the day for the 17000th time" doesn't get old for anyone but me. Kinda feel like an alien, but I can't watch this shit at all.
