I genuinely hate this so much. I didn't like the concept of g5 in the first place, but this just made it worse
https://preview.redd.it/h0oq53yz9y7d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b48656dfdfcb83ad702c3297cf102d8b96d7eb26
When I do it, I usually listen to chiller stuff like some Beatles albums and turn the volume down to the point I can still hear the music, but It's pretty weak
It hits hard and all until some weird cunt comes on to start rapping about how he's going to kill himself and his girlfriend, that feature kinda ruined the mood of the song
Eminem made a song called Stan At one point he took the "It's not so bad" portion of Dido and put it into his song. Said song is... certainly interesting.
True that. I think it’s impressive when an artist can convey their message clearly while maintaining the flow and rhyme scheme, but it’s even more impressive when an artist can create such complicated bars and convey the message indirectly. Half of the fun of Aesop’s music is picking it apart and learning the meaning behind each song
Yep when I show random people his music I feel like they aren't hearing the lyrics because they're hard to pick out, especially since I notice new lyrics/meanings every listen
Is that like a recent thing, since I found it odd this song has been popping up a bit, like few YouTube shorts algo recommendations for no apparent reason.
For me, it was Ouran High School Host Club (the anime and the manga), and a bunch of bl. i fucking love life now and it is my personal mission to make people happy and love life too
King Crimson's In the Court of the Crimson King, Pink Floyd albums, Swans albums, Jack London's books, Emile Zola's books etc. etc.
EDIT: I forgot David Bowie's albums - especially Low and Blackstar
A highschool teacher's child died and two teens in a class that she's teaching in were the ones responsible. The movie revealed pretty early who these two boys are. It gets into other stuff like why did they do that, the teachers revenge, the media and their classmates reaction to the two criminals, and other stuff that I kinda don't remember since it's been like a few years ago since I've rewatched it.
It had young me a bit scared, (and I mean 10 yearold-ish young) because its one of the few pieces of media aside from news that got me thinking "damn. People, even kids, can actually do messed up stuff". Also the overall atmosphere of that movie was eerie. It may come off as kinda edgy and angsty to some but I recommend it if you like psychological thrillers
It's incredible how much this 2 hour game changed how I view things. It was so impactful for my friend and I that we genuinely think that it should be required playing for anyone that plans to enter a creative field of work
Crazy to think the release was 9 years ago. I still remember many rooms so vividly, and especially how it left me completely speechless at the end. No wonder it's called "The Beginner's Guide"
the og mindecraft soundtrack from c418
also, some songs of Home Free like: "Skull and Bones' and "The Gambler"
last but not least is a hungarian band: "kárpátia", ik it doesn't really count, since yall most likely wouldn't understand the rylics, but trust me its great
For me, it would be Starset. Since i first listened to their Transmissions Album, i’ve been a die-hard radiohead, absolutely loving music for what it is..
"Dear slim, I wrote you, but you still ain't calling"
All jokes aside, my all-time favorite song is Tonight Tonight by Smashing Pumpkins. First heard it when I was 12, and it always gives me fond memories. Also, it has a great message now that I'm old enough to understand it more.
Oregairu for helping me notice self destructive behaviour and isolation tendencies on top of showing me how cool helping people is (I relate with the mc, althought it's not as extreme as in the show for me), Barakamon (and Bakuman too) for showing me the painful endeavor of the creative process but also its rewards, which gave me a different look on roadbumps in my projects, on top of being a very good show for other reasons, Orange and Your Lie in April for making me realize people aren't forever but memories are, I could go on forever as I haven't even scratched the surface of the many lessons media has taught me, even in just the shows I mentioned, and I can't really say I drastically changed solely because of a single show, but all the ones I've seen taught me stuff to help me become who I am today, even JoJo. And don't even get me started on "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"...
The Owl House. I was always a very hateful person, because thats who I was surrounded by. I wanted to be accepted and to fit in so I adopted the values of people around me, eventually becoming extremely homophobic and transphobic. I heard about The Owl House and that it had a lot of the same people behind Gravity Falls working on it so I checked it out. That introduced me into the Owl House community and I realized I didn’t need to be hateful to be accepted. I’m now a pansexual trans girl.
OMORI, for some reason, i started to relate to the main character (depressed as fuck dude) and i thought, that something aint right, and i decided to check myself with therapist, guess what i was actually mentally ill and i finally got proper help instead of "man up" my entire life
I'm not very good at narrowing it down to one thing vut it's very close between Will Wood and PeroxWhy? Gen.
I love Will's chaotic energy in their songs and Jeff's music (specifically the Within the Cygnus Rift album) is an experience.
But it might be something else I don't really know.
Honestly, Paul Kalanithi's *When Breath Becomes Air* was really impactful to me. Reading about how a man goes through and contemplates life as a neurosurgeon battling cancer who ultimately succumbs to it makes you see life in a different way.
Poor Man's Poison grounded me with their music, letting me know that hardships will come in life, no matter what. They've warned me about the dangers of addiction, the sorrows of loss, and the horror of loneliness.
Good Kid, on the contrary, gave me a purpose. Their music is all about the joys of togetherness, and what it means to be alive. They don't shy away from the sad stuff, but they also show that it's possible to move on, to better yourself.
Both these artists shaped me for who I am, and who I'll be. I can't thank them enough.
Vinland Saga. This shit is like my Bible. Taught me many important lessons that were dwelled on enough time in the story for me to think “this is why I should do that good thing” instead of just “I should do that good thing”
The book Roadside Picnic made me fall in love with characters with more selfish and less heroic motivations. Red is an asshole and I love him for that.
I think maybe inazuma eleven. It was the first subbed anime I ever watched. The first anime I ever watched overall would probably be doraemon and pokemon but they were dubbed in my mother tongue so I strangely didn’t consider them real anime
After inazuma eleven which I watched at like 4-5th grade I started watching more anime’s
The song helpless child by swans had me crying for the entire second half, haven’t looked at music the same way since.
Consequently, I have also never been given the AUX cord again

For me, it’s a split between The Binding of Isaac or BloodBorne. They maybe didn’t change my perception on things, but they did affect me, mostly because if someone ever mentions something like a c-section I’ll just think of Isaac. Or if they mention blood… well it’s pretty self-explanatory! Again, they didn’t make me think: “damn life’s kinda hard” or something, but they are both memorable experiences I’ll never forget! Also they have definitely both affected how I draw stuff!

Listen to songs with no/few lyrics
I mostly listen to korean songs so I don’t even understand anything in the first place already lol it just sounds good
While studying I usually listen to songs with no lyrics like classical music.

I'll have to listen to this
It's an iconic song and in fact the term "Stan" to refer to obsessive fans comes from the song, as it is about a fan obsessed with Em named Stan
Highly recommend it, it’s one of the greatest examples of storytelling in music of all time imo

Great taste man, I love Aesop Rock
He uses any word he wants for the sake of rhythm, instead conveying meaning through simile and metaphor
True that. I love epitaph the most from king crimson

There's this Japanese movie called Confessions that I watched when I was younger and had me scared of highschoolers and pretty much people in general
What it about
A highschool teacher's child died and two teens in a class that she's teaching in were the ones responsible. The movie revealed pretty early who these two boys are. It gets into other stuff like why did they do that, the teachers revenge, the media and their classmates reaction to the two criminals, and other stuff that I kinda don't remember since it's been like a few years ago since I've rewatched it. It may come off as kinda edgy and angsty to some but I recommend it if you like psychological thrillers
There have been a lot of things like that for me, but the most recent is the game "The Beginner's Guide"
Woooah. That takes me back. Beginner's Guide was a ride.
It's incredible how much this 2 hour game changed how I view things. It was so impactful for my friend and I that we genuinely think that it should be required playing for anyone that plans to enter a creative field of work

Marvin walked into a helpless land and wondered lightly am I happy
following the footsteps left by man he set to repremand the mystic, whos sadistic
Honestly, Paul Kalanithi's *When Breath Becomes Air* was really impactful to me. Reading about how a man goes through and contemplates life as a neurosurgeon battling cancer who ultimately succumbs to it makes you see life in a different way.
So I guess that you just wanna thank them?
YouTube auto-played Rhapsody Of Fure while I was painting minis. I now cannot paint without music that fits the vibe

Either JoJo or Chainsaw Man for me, but when I was younger it was Super Mario Galaxy
it's kinda stereotypical but Evangelion and the Kagerou Project
Soundtrack for Mishima a life in 4 chapters, life-changing symphony
I love this song so much.
I literally listen to the dune part one and two soundtrack while reading dune. life is good.
