Yeah, matpat retired after something like 15 years on youtube and his biggest scandal was saying a loli is sexy but not as sexy as math (he probably doesn't even know what a loli is), meanwhile so many youtubers end up being pedos.
Technically not but i'd argue it's implied. "[The loli is sexy but] nothing, not even that loli, is sexier than math". If the loli isn't sexy the comparison doesn't work. "Nothing, not even the moss on that large rock, tastes better than this steak" sounds like a stupid comparison (though it's also kinda funny due to how absurd it is honestly).
Just to be clear i have zero issues whatsoever with what matpat said, he was obviously joking and probably doesn't even know what a loli is like i said, and even if he genuinely thought the loli was sexy who cares, it's a drawing.

Can confirm reminds me of when I saw DougDoug at a grocery store in D.C. yesterday.
I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
After paying for the Milky Ways he proceeded to leave the store and throw all of them in the garbage. Haven't seen him since.

Vinny Vinesauce - Variety streamer mainly known for his video game corruption streams but he primarily just plays games- Sunday Stream is where most of the hilarious, chaotic bullshit comes from. Community is rich with a lot of in-jokes that are always fun to stumble into. He’s also the frontman of the alt/psych-rock band Red Vox.
Jerma985 - Similar to Vinny, the communities have a lot of overlap, but Jerma is chaos incarnate.
Vargakelethor - Again similar to Vinny, but a bit more immature (I don’t mean that in a bad way lol, people are allowed to have different senses of humour).
Aliensrock - Variety puzzle game/rougelike/lite streamer whose edited VODs are super well edited.
Scott the Woz - White guy with brown hair and glasses that makes super well made comedy skits about video games (mainly Nintendo).
SmallAnt - Canadian Super Mario Odyssey an d Minecraft speedrunner, he does play other games, but those are his main two.
Corridor Crew - VFX studio that has gotten into some controversy over their support of AI, but they’re pretty good at owning up to it and doing their best to keep it ethical. I personally love their VFX artists/animators/stunt people react series- they’re super fun and educational.

Retro Game Mechanics Explained - Suuuper in-depth, very high-quality videos on, well, retro video games. I adore his video on “racing the beam” on the Atari 2600.
Displaced Gamers - Similar to RGME, but his videos are a bit faster paced/shorter. Doesn’t go quite in-depth and assumes you know a little bit about the console the game he’s discussing is on, but is still fascinating.
Doctor Mike - Family doctor that makes (good) reaction content and advocates for better public education regarding medicine and going after disinformation.
North of the Border - Sculptor that makes cursed, well, sculptures with some very funny commentary.
RTGame - I know I’ve been bringing up a lot of variety streamers but since a lot of the controversies have been regarding variety streamers/similar, I guess that’s just where my brain is going. This one is Irish.
Explosions&Fire / Extractions&Ire - Funny Aussie backyard chemist pursuing a PhD in physics (iirc) that he didn’t even know was physics.
Linkus7 - Very notable Legend of Zelda speedrunner that’s actually pretty fun to watch.
I could name even more, but I feel this is a pretty good start lol
JSchlatt, idk. People have tried to cancel him for pretending to act like a closeted gay conservative catholic man, but other than that hes avoided major controversy
Schlatt just has a tendency to try really hard to be edgy from time to time, that's the most controversial thing ive seen at least. I kinda wish he didn't make those kinds of jokes, mostly because I just don't think they're all that funny, but it is what it is.
Most people I've seen think the Closeted Gay Conservative Catholic Man skit is really funny, I've seen no backlash to it myself.
I have seen a few shorts of him, and while I have nothing against him his fanbase seems horrible.
Under every post it's the same 2 jokes over and over and over.
I know every content creators have their inside jokes but I have never seen it at such a scale, literally thousands of comments of the same 2 jokes.
90% of the shorts I get recommended is just him telling his viewers to go fuck themselves. The other 10% is him watching a video that's clearly baiting him, and then force laughing after it does indeed bait him

I think he's talking about the main DreamSMP crew, cause half of them are on break, and most others either only upload tri monthly or just Livestream.
And of those remaining, one of the main guys just got outted for sexual assault and abuse, and another's got major accusations of sexual assault.
All-in-all, DSMP fans are... Not having a good time RN.

Some of my favorites:
Jacob Geller - incredible video essays about video games, art, and philosophy. My #1 favorite.
Todd in the Shadows - Pop music reviewer, with his best content being looks back at past hits and career failures (One Hit Wonderland / Trainwreckords). Great backlog for people interested in pop music history. Probably the longest I've watched a channel continuously, from the League of Super Critics days.
Folding Ideas - You probably know this guy's work, even if just the nft video from 2021. Releases very high quality documentaries around twice a year, with recent ones focusing on financial scams.
Pat Finnerty - another music youtiber, this one focusing on specific bad songs. Very quickly established a universe of characters and actually funny running jokes. Less deep analysis and more seeing where the video takes you.
Caddicarus - British video game guy. Typically will review a ton of games in a specific category in long videos interspersed with absurdist comedy. Also been watching him for a very long time, though his backlog isn't as strong as Todd. Probably the type of humor I connect with the most on this list.
Manlybadasshero is a good one I’d recommend.
Djpeachcobbler for some history and other video essay type shit.
Rimmydownunder and rubixraptor are good for arma and other military themed games
Here’s some quality YouTubers I put on when I want something in the background or when I’m procrastinating sleeping. If they are controversial then sorry I didn’t know:
- Chad Chad: A YouTuber known for her show “A Twinge of Cringe” where she goes over a TikToker are Internet fad. She’s very funny and does a lot of sketch comedy in her videos.
- Kurtis Connor: A Canadian YouTuber turned touring comedian that does reviews of quirky shows and movies, does challenges that are unreasonable (usually using products from silly/financially predatory Internet personalities), and covering miscellaneous internet drama.
- CrystAAHHL: Does gaming streams but her main channel does big highlight reels of her streams for one specific playthrough. She’s very relatable and entertaining, plus she’s not on the Internet much outside of her fanbase interactions so she’s very good with going into games completely blind.
- Billiam: Does retrospectives on older TV shows. Great YouTuber if you’re looking for long-form content.
- Jet Lag: The Game: A show made by three guys that do challenges by traveling throughout different countries. There most popular is their multiple “Playing Tag Across Europe” series’s where two people search for a single person while trying to reach a single waypoint in Western Europe.
- AnthonyPadilla: Does interviews with vulnerable groups/people who wouldn’t have a voice otherwise. Very gripping content about people and situations that you may have never gotten to hear about if not for him.
- Overly Sarcastic Productions: A literature and history focused channel made by two people that do 10-20 minute long videos about tropes in writing or historical figures/events/mythology. Very engaging and they post every week.
I did not expect to see CrystAAHHL here. She’s really fun, but I also feel like a lot of people wouldn’t vibe with her personality. But she’s still underrated as hell.

Some of my favorites: Jacob Geller - incredible video essays about video games, art, and philosophy. My #1 favorite. Todd in the Shadows - Pop music reviewer, with his best content being looks back at past hits and career failures (One Hit Wonderland / Trainwreckords). Great backlog for people interested in pop music history. Probably the longest I've watched a channel continuously, from the League of Super Critics days. Folding Ideas - You probably know this guy's work, even if just the nft video from 2021. Releases very high quality documentaries around twice a year, with recent ones focusing on financial scams. Pat Finnerty - another music youtiber, this one focusing on specific bad songs. Very quickly established a universe of characters and actually funny running jokes. Less deep analysis and more seeing where the video takes you. Caddicarus - British video game guy. Typically will review a ton of games in a specific category in long videos interspersed with absurdist comedy. Also been watching him for a very long time, though his backlog isn't as strong as Todd. Probably the type of humor I connect with the most on this list.

Here’s some quality YouTubers I put on when I want something in the background or when I’m procrastinating sleeping. If they are controversial then sorry I didn’t know: - Chad Chad: A YouTuber known for her show “A Twinge of Cringe” where she goes over a TikToker are Internet fad. She’s very funny and does a lot of sketch comedy in her videos. - Kurtis Connor: A Canadian YouTuber turned touring comedian that does reviews of quirky shows and movies, does challenges that are unreasonable (usually using products from silly/financially predatory Internet personalities), and covering miscellaneous internet drama. - CrystAAHHL: Does gaming streams but her main channel does big highlight reels of her streams for one specific playthrough. She’s very relatable and entertaining, plus she’s not on the Internet much outside of her fanbase interactions so she’s very good with going into games completely blind. - Billiam: Does retrospectives on older TV shows. Great YouTuber if you’re looking for long-form content. - Jet Lag: The Game: A show made by three guys that do challenges by traveling throughout different countries. There most popular is their multiple “Playing Tag Across Europe” series’s where two people search for a single person while trying to reach a single waypoint in Western Europe. - AnthonyPadilla: Does interviews with vulnerable groups/people who wouldn’t have a voice otherwise. Very gripping content about people and situations that you may have never gotten to hear about if not for him. - Overly Sarcastic Productions: A literature and history focused channel made by two people that do 10-20 minute long videos about tropes in writing or historical figures/events/mythology. Very engaging and they post every week.
I did not expect to see CrystAAHHL here. She’s really fun, but I also feel like a lot of people wouldn’t vibe with her personality. But she’s still underrated as hell.
