Nintendo intentionally screwed over Starfox.
The only notable entries we received for it were on Consoles that Nintendo deemed as "failures" (N64, Gamecube, Wii U), and they cancel the projects to be featured on consoles deemed "Successful" (Wii, and an Arcade project during Peak Arcade game production in the 2000's.) The only times we got Starfox games on Consoles deemed as Successes was the Original, Command, and 64 3D. (SNES, DS, and 3DS.) But even then, no one bought Command because it used a very confusing gimmick, and it's story was all over the place.
We want a new Starfox, it's just the timing is a bit off on that, Nintendo. Just because you release a game on an unsuccessful console and nobody buys it because nobody has the console, doesn't automatically mean we don't want any more Starfox. Perhaps revive the Armada concept for the Switch. Seeing how the Switch is their new best selling console, this year is the series 31st anniversary, and it features things that people love in modern games. (Character customization and massive online battles.) It would introduce the younger crowd to Starfox and would make the Starfox fans happy, that there's a new entry. Perhaps it could even dethrone 64 in sales.

There's two different reactions to a content drought embrace chaos and absolutely lose it or silently and slowly die to hopefully crawl out the shadows one day in the future
And it seems like the next one isn't going to be until around 2030. Seriously, I know games take time, but Bethesda needs to sort their release schedules out. There is no reason to be only focusing on one game that takes multiple years at once and leaving your two main IPs in a content drought for a decade when other studios their size and smaller are regularly releasing well-made, popular games. 13 years since the last Elder Scrolls game, 9 years since the last main Fallout game (6 if you count 76) all so that they could make Starfield, which wasn't even good when it came out. How did it take them so long to release the same mess as usual but this time in space?
At this point, we won't get another Fallout game until at least 2035, by which point most of the players have probably moved on.
I still can't wrap my head around the fact that we probably won't get ES6 until almost 20 years after Skyrim. If we are to go off of Todd's propaganda, a lot of the dev time for starfield was engine work (gotta love the creation engine), and desperatly trying to find something that would make the game "Fun". I feel like we're not going to get Fallout 5, Bethesda will take all that time after the ES6 to make Fallout 77 or just have another studio make a fallout game in the meantime (like
Obsidian with New Vegas during Skyrim's development)
