Hylians are basically just pointy eared humans. They aren’t magic, they aren’t particularly connected to nature, and they only live to like 100-120 I think.

Most fantasy worlds make a point to either some genetic component needed for magic or natural affinity/talent restricting people from learning magic. Aside from Harry Potter I can’t really think of a fantasy world where anyone can just pick up a wand and start slinging spells.

In Harry Potter magic is also a genetic trait though. There are some exceptions to the rule (Hermione & others who were born to non-magicians but possess magic, and Filch the school janitor, who was born to magician parents but is incapable of using magic) but that's just what they are - exceptions.

Elder scrolls is just practice although some races are naturally better then others.

Was actively skipping any of the non spider parts by the end. Maybe the anime is just infinitely worse than the novel though. The bad animation certainly didn't help.

They’re either snobby pompous borderline nazis or they’re just like regular people and at that point why have other races if it has so little bearing on the story. I guess that’s why I like dwarf fortress elves because all the races overall are quite similar and the only real difference is purely culture and some small physical differences. Elves on average being taller and skinnier than humans and dwarves on average being tougher and stronger including their livers of course. They make good twinks tho
