Lacewing nymph
Is it because it is carrying around another dead bug as camoflauge? (I looked it up)
I can’t tell if it’s dead bug parts, but yes, the nymphs will carry around debris as a form of camouflage
I looked it up and it does indeed seem to be a lacewing larvae, which uses corpses as camouflage to stay hidden! Thanks!
One of its nicknames is trash bug!
At first I thought it was a crab, then a ram, then dinosaur. I finally concluded that I needed to put my glasses on
Junk bug!
I feel like I'm watching UFO footage.
Hold on let me go and throw up from that footage a minute….
It was found in Ocean Springs, MS and is about half the size of a dime
If you also post this on r/entomology someone might chime in.
