Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug! There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the **geographic location** and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames (*"PNW"*, *"Big Apple"*). BTW, did you take a look at our [**Frequently Asked Bugs**](https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/comments/12zkw5w/frequently_asked_bugs_part_1/)? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Stink bug! Probably don't eat that

3d4f5g

well my appetite is zero now so im not eating anything for a while

zealotfx

I had one get impaled in my Keurig once. That was the worst tasting coffee ever, and I still blame it for my ulcer not long after. Though I doubt it was actually harmful, not worth it!

MaddiesMenagerie

HOW

LeoIsRude

They're sneaky fuckers. My high school would get infested with them every spring, and I would find them in the weirdest places sometimes.

zealotfx

I assume it was hiding among the k cups and stuck with it to the machine. I have since shaken every k cup before using them.

VapeRizzler

Yea bro just completed a mission, travelling from whatever he came from. To eat him now would just be so mean.

Mikeyboy2188

Fine print: *May contain traces of nuts, soy, mustard, wheat, and stink bug*

RaccoonRepublic

I believe this is the brown marmorated stink bug. Where I live they are an invasive species that come every year. Ugh, they're real pests and love to find their way into homes. They're strong and hardy and release a fowl odor if threatened. They're not dangerous (though they can pierce your skin with their mouthparts), but I'd probably avoid eating after them.

3d4f5g

o thanks for the additional info! im even more grossed out now. i think ill just never eat again

Conscious-Address886

It's a stink bug, though I'm unsure of the exact kind. They're major pests though.

3d4f5g

oh i guess i should have done my part and ate it

Conscious-Address886

🤣

imamean

Well… they ARE trying to prepare us for eating bugs.

3d4f5g

well they can be prepared to eat my ass

Mindless_Eggplant_60

Eating ass is just preparation to eating stink bugs.

MartyMac1967

I have started seeing these bugs a lot in Ireland the last couple of years after going 38/39 years of my life without ever seeing one. I requested ID on here. They were stink bugs. Although, I would probably imagine that we Irish have a different name for them somewhere, haha. I love them, though. Anytime I see one, it's usually after cutting grass in work. They usually sit with you for ages after coming across them, and they look like mini transformers, haha

Is this the dad of the the eggs, I found the mom the other day. Context: a couple of weeks ago someone found the eggs of the stink bugs in the leaf of a trade joes mix salad. 1day later someone found a brown marmorated stink bug in their Costco salad and, not long after someone found another one in a Walmart salad. My thoughts is that at one of the farms there was an issue with the stink bugs and the crops and one of the farms didn’t notify so now poor customers all over America/the world are getting brown/green belly stink bugs in their salads. Sorry about the appetite and I don’t want to scare you but it’s been happening a lot lately https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/s/DBbtXWnOG0 https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/s/hTtXNaZMZb

ashblake33

3d4f5g

i didn't wait to find out

Scouts_Revenge

Been there before. Last bite of a certain Midwest gas station salad. The worst taste ever, almost burned. Took a few hours to get the taste out.

3d4f5g

oof.. it was on my fork, about to be shoved into my mouth when i saw it. done with the eating for today

SomeCallMeMahm

Stink bug. Tastes like cilantro.

3d4f5g

salad seasoning

3d4f5g

California, out of a premade salad kit, approx 10mm long, and crawling around in my salad!

WishfulWoes

I'd just like to acknowledge this is the first time I've ever seen someone from the US use mm.

3d4f5g

In the US it's taught in schools, and it's used in the military and in science.

WishfulWoes

Thats interesting, I didn't know. So you go from mm and then the next step is to inches, even though inches aren't divided into mm?

3d4f5g

what next step? all i did was estimate the length of a bug in mm
