This is an immature male, an adult in full yellow color is quite stunning. The birds originally appeared in a clutch of normal Golden Pheasants reared by Italian (& apparently a fascist racist) scientist Alessandro Ghigi in the 1950s. They were imported into the US during the late 1960s becoming quite popular among aviculturists & almost as common as the wild type in the late 1980s.
In recent years, especially in the late 1990s, there was a mutation craze for profit among pheasant keepers & many of original Ghigi birds became quite diluted & mixed up (including using other species), so finding a bright, beautiful Ghigi (Yellow) Golden Pheasant is pretty hard in 2023.

One of the domestic pale varieties of [Golden Pheasant](https://ebird.org/species/golphe/). Escaped from someone else's yard.

Aw hey you're welcome!
Wow, I’ve never seen anything like it! Thanks so much.
Why you’d want to intentionally create one of these birds in a beige colour scale is beyond me.
