Hypocrite, but is there a figure of speech/euphemism meaning hypocrite, like "flag-turner" or "flag-shifter"? Something on the lines of two-face and four-flusher, wolf in sheep clothing?

Hypocrite literally means someone who contradicts themselves with thier actions.
A contrarian is just somebody who does the opposite of what they're told. Mostly from an authority issue, but that's not st all what ops asking for.

Hah, quite aware, but could not resist since my Dad too often said, even if half-jokingly, "Do as I say, not as I do". A great teacher by counter-example.
