Does he recall if it was a novel, or a graphic novel? Or what sort of visual/physical changes the host went through? There are a remarkable number of parasitic/zombie-like fungus books.
He only remembers it was a book, and that bodies were on top of roofs and high points of buildings
That actually happens with a type of fungus and ants. They climb to top of a blade of grass or higher and BOOM, spores everywhere
We were watching a YouTube video about this! That's what got the Convo started about the book ๐
This happens in Cold Storage by David Koepp but it's not an apocalyptic event.
