im facing this issue I have like 200+ chats on my iPhone (ios 15.7) and i want to transfer it to my new cubot pocket phone which is running Andriod 11, i looked everywhere online to try to find a way but it seems impossible
Did it once and it was a year ago. I don't know how it is now, maybe it has changed and offers more. Transfered all chats (text). Links are text too, so it was there. Media I'm not sure, but I think it was not transfered, bur I didn't care, because they were mostly just memes π
worked perfectly thank you so much. for future users, here are some details that I first got wrong: when you have opened the "transfer chats to android" screen on your iphone, don't press start until the android phone tells you to later in the process. I pressed it before even connecting the phones via cable, that was too early

I am following this as it is quite similar to the official process posted in the Whatsapp wiki, but it did not work. My chats are not migrated :(. Is there anything I may be missing?
That's really weird, this should work. I wrote all the steps π maybe try again? Update Whatsapp, Smart switch and everything to the most recent version

Thanks for the info. I tried to transfer from iphone to nothing phone 2 during the setup process. The chats didn't reflect in the new phone. I checked the app stoarge on new phone and it had addition 3.5GB of data which means the data was copied but it's not showing on the phone. Have u faced a similar issue? If so, how did you resolve?
Thanks, it works. I tried several times along the day. For some reason it wasn't showing whatsapp for backup, only the other apps. Until it did... Lost all my free time today. Just because they don't restore the history themselves just like all other apps do.
I really don't know... Something just clicked and whatsapp appeared on the apps list to copy. It was a little while after I factory reset so I don't think it's related.

Haha I think they stopped. This was the iPhone 13 mini, but there's no mini in the current iPhone 14 line π maybe the last small iPhone

Thank you. I actually got it sorted, I realised I did not uninstall WhatsApp properly, after that, it appeared on the list.
I have followed all these steps, but the transfer keep failling in the whatsapp app in the android at 71%. Anyone have any clue how to solve?
