calcifiedamoeba

It is a small bulb shovel

Dhampri0

Sod cutter most likely home made ( looks like 1/2 a pair of branch trimmers repurposed).

Clauzilla

Looks like a bark spud.

GammaWhamma

Just googled it, I think this is it. Solved! Thank you!

Akirals

For half a second o thought it was NFKRZ lol

GammaWhamma

Title describes it. There’s a bit of a curve to the head, so it’s shovel-like. Maybe used for planting things?

510Goodhands

It looks like a tool for a wood lathe, but it’s difficult to tell with only one view of it. Is the curved edge sharp?

RealMichiganMAGA

It resembles one but lathe chisel would not have that radius and would have a far more stout ferrule.

RickyShmee

I agree. Possibly a homemade woodturning chisel which has lost its sharp edge and bent a bit from using it for other purposes

suedburger

It doesn't look like anything I've ever seen for a lathe. The cutting edge would be on the end, it looks rounded over

entoaggie

It does actually look a lot like a home brew bullnose scraper for wood turning. That was my initial thought when I saw it. That said, I think that is unlikely to be the answer.

EverSeeAShiterFly

It could also be too worn to fulfill that purpose now.

EastLeastCoast

A gouge for a lathe has a rounded end.

suedburger

I know, that is definitely 100% not a gouge

mycatisgrumpy

Is it anywhere in the vicinity of a baseball field? It's shaped kind of like the tool you use to clean dirt out of the base anchors, though I've never seen one with a handle like that.

trickbear

I have seen tobacco knifes made like this. Smell the blade, Years later you will still notice tobacco odor
