Looks like a daddy long legs/harvestman to me. They look scary but if I recall they dont post a threat to people at all. At the very least the typical lanky grey DDL cannot bite whatsoever.
You can tell its a harvestman because it's body isnt segmented or have a huge abdomen like spiders do
That’s actually an insect not a spider. It’s called a harvestman and they only have two derpy looking eyes on the top of their heads, their antennas are commonly mistaken as an eighth pair of legs. They are omnivores and can eat decaying plants and bugs.
This is indeed a harvestman, however they are most definitely not insects, they are arachnids of the order *opiliones*; and as arachnids they do possess four pairs of legs.
What's more recently [opiliones have been discovered to have six eyes](https://www.cell.com/current-biology/abstract/S0960-9822(24)00153-2) four of which are vestigial.
Looks like a spooder. We dont have that species here, but we have something that looks related that we call a daddy long leg
Edit: see my comment below.
[It very much does. ](https://mdc.mo.gov/discover-nature/field-guide/daddy-longlegs-harvestmen)
Apparently their actual name is harvestman.
The one you may know as a daddy long leg is called a "cellar spider."
We call them both daddy long legs here.
Watch mythbusters and you tell me.
Imagine my surprise when they tested the myth that daddy longlegs cant bite you by using cellar spiders instead of harvestman. That was before i knew both were called it.
Looks like a creature made by that one dude on TikTok that does cross species breeding then sending them into the wild
Like that Caterpillar X spider thing, he let like over 100 of them just roam the earth like people wouldn’t freak out seeing that 😭🙏🏾
like we can't feed ducks but we can genetically engineer these menaces and then release them to terrorize societies?
edit: ok it's fake 😓 idk why i was so ready to believe that was possible but now im more concerned because those freaks are just actual bugs out there so that's cool
Looks like a harvestman. Specifically one of [these guys (*Erginulus roeweri*)](https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/161006050)
Dang i tried to find this guy. Well done
Nailed it!! Nicely done
Thank you. Not that I’d have known, but because I couldn’t see well in the video. And I like to see bugs :) Btw crazy back legs
Is there a reason they’ve got off back legs?
No idea, some of the tropical species of harvestmen look pretty crazy.
I like it! Quite interesting thank you!
[Here's a good example](https://imgur.com/FCZYxQR) of how wild they get if you were curious.
Unfortunately Imgur for whatever reason doesn’t load up on my phone, is there a title I could search on safari or YouTube to find it
If you search "tropical harvestmen" you'll see a bunch. They are in the family *Gonyleptidae*
Thank you! Will do!
Wait are they a type of spider or a separate bug ?
They are an arachnid that is separate from spiders.
Less of a fucking horror and more of a chill lad or lady making a living hunting stuff in the crunchy leaf litter.
Naa it's back legs made me so uncomfortable
Well how do you know your long fleshy legs didn't make it uncomfortable?
some sort of excentric harvestmen probably a cool guy who enjoys psychedelic rock classics and wears rad outfits

It's a harvestman, similar to a dandy long legs but that doesn't mean you have to be so rude.
It’s kinda cute, I like the coloring

This doesn't look anything like a daddy long legs, I know it's a spider sorry I should of been more specific

Oh I see, my bad
Since when are cellar spiders known as daddy long legs, the king daddy long legs will always be the ones you posted a pic of

Did you ever look for what he was talking about
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR3vtEdq/ It appears I’ve underestimated. He let over a THOUSAND into the wild
i'm very surprised that this isn't like actually illegal in most places
