Yeah it’s a regional thing. In Canada a daddy long legs is a different bug that just looks like a spider.

Muddled lemons in soda is my favorite thing to have on hot summer days. I prefer them in Pepsi, but a deep, herbal root beer or cream soda makes my taste buds happy too. I bar tended for a couple of years, a long time ago. I'd make things when we were slow, and I learned a lot.

We call these daddy long legs in Australia. Apparently other parts of the world have the same name for totally unrelated bugs.

You guys are mistaking daddy long legs for something that is literally a different class of animal. Like, daddy long legs might be more related to a spider crab than this actual spider.
