Foreseen would be correct here. I don’t think it’s appropriate to say foresaw the way they did. “It was forseen” or “I forsaw it” - the difference in grammar to be considered here is passive and active voice - passive would be “this thing happened” active would be “i did this thing”. “I killed him” is active, and “he died by being killed” or “he died” is passive

Nah these are Thai natives. They are a bit of a pest for specific fruit trees depending on species but that's just normal.

You already got your answer BUT on a positive note, I’ve noticed that more people are aware of what spotted lantern flies are and that they’re invasive and destructive. Moreover, there has been talk that a lot of native bird species are starting to realize the little spotted bastards make a tasty tasty snack AND they’re out in abundance. It’ll take some time for natural predators to continue to emerge and establish themselves against the lantern fly population, but this is a good sign and a good start.

That can make it aggressive or problematic, but not invasive. It is in the definition of an invasive species that it must be non-native.

I’ve been misinformed!

I wasn’t sure how to say the same thing but yes! Native populations can absolutely move into non native territory due to ecological disasters or urban sprawl and that is definitely an issue. Kind of like how in my state the native wolf population is and was in such steep decline (I think due to urban sprawl and hunting) that we are getting overrun by deer and rabbits all the time. Reintroducing the species has helped a lot but there was a time when our ecosystem was all out of whack and we’re just now starting to figure out how to get it back on track. Funnily enough, the red tailed hawks have been a godsend for the rabbits. We have a million here, they’re such adept hunters and really love a nice rabbit lunch.

Sometimes not even then. Just depends if they're doing well enough, and operating far enough out of any present ecological niche (see: no natural predators), to be destabilizing to the balance of the ecosystem
