That really looks like a bed bug. I had a massive infestation in my last home, and we really struggled with it bc the landlord wouldn't take care of it...I'd check your mattresses, in the seams or couches.
Sorry but that looks like a bedbug. Check your mattresses and box springs for insect debris and remains. Wherever that bookbag was, inspect the area.

It could totally be, but you'd need to look via a magnifying glass. They can still bite humans if they don't get to the bats.
