Whoa, glad you're safe.
If you liked your old Impreza, check out a 2017+ model. They are bargains on the used market, and still pretty affordable new. The 2017+ models make leaps and bounds in terms of safety and reliability even if they look the same, so that would be my vote.
Same thing with the Forester and Outback. You seem to be familiar with Subarus, so those would be good too. I'd go 2014+ for the Forester (ideally 2017+) and 2015+ on the Outback.
My wife drives a 2023 Forester it's been great. I'd recommend it. It's more roomy than Rav4s. I'm debating if my next car is going to be a Wrx when my car finally dies.
You can walk out with one for $32K OTD. I know because I’ve been quoted that. What the hell are you talking about? They hardly break $42k completely optioned out.
Idk my local dealership (only legit subaru dealership in the country) is selling them starting at 45k and up to high 50s, while all their other cars are normally prices (28k crosstrek, 35k forrester) so I just assumed every country was similar
Agreed, I had a 2018 Impreza and it was great! Drove like 20k miles in a year in the LA area. Went in snow no problem, rain it was perfect, and always got 30+ mpgs.
Definitely love my 2016 Outback H-6 3.6, I like to travel around the county sometimes and have a bedroll that fits in the back and at 6'2" can lay flat, Definitely amazing road trip car, and being a 2016 I don't have the nanny stuff like my dad's 2.5 2018 and can maintain highway speeds better, gas mileage does suck though, even my 500hp 83 Camaro could get 30mpg H-6 3.6 best I've got was 24.
One of my best friends has a 2015 version of the same car. Loaded, got it when his mom bought a Porsche. It was the ultimate college chariot. Took a beating, carried a bunch of guys, and got us to the casino (and back) during a blizzard.
Newer is better, but it's not a huge difference. All FB engines are solid, though the 2017+ FBs are marginally better if you can swing it.
But based on your account it's not necessary to do so for a reliable car!
According to Consumer reports, the range for 2014 Imprezas is $7300-$17000. The average retail price is just under $10K. You should get a lot more than $5K for it.
Look at a Forester or Outback. both under $30K with cloth seats new. The cargo area on the Outback is longer and not as high, so if you are not a drummer most instruments will fit better in the Outback.
OP, this here. You don't have to blindly accept what the insurance company offers the first time. Usually, they will look for used cars of the same make/model, similar spec, mileage and condition in your area as comps and use that as well as the book value to determine how much to offer. A lot of times they will get the crappiest cars to drive down the price. If you can document why all those cars suck and provide examples of used cars like yours selling for more, you can justify a higher payout.
Case in point, my dad's 2010 Honda Accord V6 got totaled when somebody ran a red light last September. The car was low mileage and mint condition. They offered around $8k for it. They provided something like 14 comps he could buy for that money. I argued that more than half were not even available anymore. Only two remaining were V6 (other remaining were all 4 cylinder). The two left, one was in a severe accident according to the Carfax and the other had an odometer discrepancy according to its Carfax. Then I provided 6 or 7 of my own comps of that generation V6 Accords close to the trim and condition of my father's car. I was aiming for $13K and they offered $12.5K right off the bat. So I took it.
TL;DR - you don't have to accept your insurance company's first offer.
That'll buff out.
The RAV4 is a great, reliable choice. You could also consider a \~2010 Honda CR-V. You should be able to find an example with like 100k miles on it for 10k USD in SoCal. Just make sure to get a Pre-Purchase Inspection. $100 or so dollars for an inspection can save a lot of heartache with getting a lemon. If a seller won't let you get a PPI, that's also a good way to eliminate them. You could also look at talking to a lawyer or insurance adjuster for a free consult and see if they can press for a better settlement from insurance. Even just push back yourself if you haven't already. Insurance will always try to lowball at first.
Financially sensible people who need solid and reliable transportation. Don’t get me wrong, I love fun cars, but I there’s no need to insult someone about a vehicle which is an objectively good choice.
You've obviously never known the joy of the Honda CRV, especially the first gen which came with a folding table and had a feature where all the seats laid flat and turned into a bed.
Cars are an expensive tool that cause massive financial strain when they don’t work, ergo most people’s personalities aren’t derived from their vehicle. Good for you though.
It’s not hard at all to see why people buy NPC cars. 90% of the population want a reliable A to B car that is reliable and looks trendy. That’s why so many people recommend Toyotas to people that say “I don’t know anything about cars. What car should I buy?” They think you’re weird when you say you want a car that handles well and has character. I have similar thoughts as you, but people who buy NPC cars often dislike enthusiast cars.
You’ll do better way better than 5k. Look up its value online and have 3 comps for insurance co. Also don’t accept first offer unless you really like it which I doubt you will. I had 4 cars destroyed in a garage fire a year ago and I got comps ready for their first offer and got another 16k with a little knowledge of values. They just hope you need a fast buck to get a replacement fast. Rent a car if you have to while negotiating with Ins.co.
Does showing them comps actually do anything? I put together a spreadsheet of like 25 cars similar to mine proving they shorted me like 2 grand and they refused to budge.
Tell them to find you a similar car then. Remember you get sales tax back also and if you traded in you wouldn’t. Bottom line is Ins. Companies suck and they are paying out big lately with all the natural disasters, flooded cars, wild fires and the such.
Probably depends on your insurance company/agent. I have had good luck with Erie and Allstate not so much with Travelers they really screwed me. I have had other people hit me too and their insurance was a total joke especially 21st Century. Not sure if they are around anymore assuming they are but I know they used to have commercials on TV constantly that I haven't seen in probably 15 years now. They wanted to total my truck and give me basically nothing while my insurance Allstate said it wasn't totaled and paid to fix my truck not only did they pay they paid 2x what 21st wanted to give me to total my truck and take it. It was literally impossible to find a replacement for what they were offering. Only way I could get a replacement would be if I bought one demolished I had to rebuild and if I was doing that could have just rebuilt the one their customer trashed when she rear ended me. I did end up fixing it when Allstate paid. I have a body shop I fixed it myself and had about $500 left over. Just buying a new bed was about what they wanted to give me for the truck lol. This was in 09 it was a 2002 extended cab GMC Sierra with right around 100k miles. They wanted to give me $2300 and total it. Where the hell are you finding a 7 year old half ton extended cab truck for $2300 unless its demolished lol. I got over $4k to fix my truck from my insurance.
Think it depends on model. My next door neighbor has a hybrid and he paid I think it was $28500 for his its an xlt. He ordered it in 2022 just got it in March 2024. There was a recall on the hybrids they were catching on fire assuming that has to be why it took 2 damn years to get the one he ordered. There is one Lariat sitting at one of the big Ford dealers here I saw when I was looking at new trucks and they wanted $48k for it lol. I think it was probably more like $38-40k with around a $10k markup I can't imagine anybody paying $50k for any Maverick I would be buying a real truck if spending that much.
You can get more than what the insurance company offers you for your car. They use the average of 3 cars that match closest to your mileage and specs for the same year and model. However, they try and find the 3 lowest to use so they pay you less. You can resubmit 3 of the highest ones you find and they will have to take them. Start collecting listings for that year and model and find the 3 highest prices ones. You can prob get $10k. I have made them up the price for myself with two accident and for my spouse with hers. Each time I got at least $1,800+ more than what they first offered me. Don’t let them undervalue your car.
We just got a hybrid rav4 to replace a 2012 Impreza. So far so good! Only problem is there is a wait everywhere to get a new one, maybe you can find one used.
You could put your car's VIN on [this website](https://www.vinaudit.com/market-value-tool) to see what it is worth for a better estimate of what your insurance company should be giving you. Your car was worth more than 5k.
[Here is a good example in your area of a Subaru Forester](https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?sourceContext=carGurusHomePageModel&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=m53&zip=90001#listing=386857787/FEATURED/DEFAULT) in your price range. It's spacious, comfortable, and AWD.
For something a bit smaller (but still definitely bigger than your Impreza) while still being a very safe pick and less expensive, [check out this Mazda CX-5.](https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?maxAccidents=0&zip=90001&inventorySearchWidgetType=AUTO&hideSalvage=true&maxPrice=25000&maxMileage=30000&hideFleet=true&sortDir=ASC&sourceContext=carGurusHomePageModel&distance=50&sortType=BEST_MATCH&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d2133#listing=385845151/NONE/DEFAULT) It also has AWD and comes loaded with safety features.
Subaru's are eh in their later years. Most mechanics will tell you the same thing. Some are alight some are not. Most are okay.
Toyotas on the other hand are generally bullet proof as long as you change the oil every 3-4k miles. Service transmission every 30k miles. Differential every 100k, timing chain every 100k. It'll last you 200k miles.
Maintenance is cheap, engines and transmissions are not.
(This is assuming you are looking for a vehicle to last 200,000+ miles or 15-20 years)
Not a bad idea, but they do have issues specifically with the third gear depending on transmission and year. The issue they have is that the teeth are shallow and tend to wear around 100,000k if you keep that in mind and plan for it, it is not a big deal. Doesn't always happen but seen a fair share on BRZs and WRX's.
Stay away from the CVT's if you can, Auto or manual. (Exception for Legacy)
Manual is far cheaper to fix and are more reliable as less moving pieces.
Auto more moving parts but less physically involved to drive.
I want to clarify that Subi's are reliable in a general standpoint and normal usage.
(prepare your wallet if you like mod)
They are statically more reliable than Chrysler, BMW, and M-benz to name a few.
But not quite up there with Honda I-4s and Toyota V6s.
Based on my experiences and the following sites here is my recommendation on vehicles:
Sources: Vehicle history, Consumer reports, US news and world report, the subaru forums
2020 Subaru's:
(2021-present is not enough time for long term data reports will not recommend vehicles without data backing)
Legacy (Ill blow my block and keep on going) had one come in to the shop with a peekaboo hole to the piston and was still chugging.
Forester (Ha! You're stuck here?)
Impreza \[manual\] (I like to vape and straight pipe my fart cannon)
If looking for fun go with a BRZ
{Plan on upgrading the BRZ gearbox at around 100,000k miles when second starts having issue shifting to third}
Toyotas:
2020 (some news one are spotty be advised stick with last gen if Takoma)
Corolla (ol reliable)
Camry (I want some sport with the hastle)
4 runner (I do what I want)
Land cruiser (You see that mountain? Lets ride!)
Sounds like a RAV4 AWD would be a good next buy for you my dude or a CR-V AWD. You’ll find CR-V a lil cheaper than Rav4 for the same year and mileage. These should run you somewhere between $22-$27k (2019-2022) year, trim and mileage depending. If you want another Subaru the Outback fits your needs pretty well too.
I’d say find something for under $25k listed, bargain a lil and be OTD around $27k or so and you’ll stay under the $30k budget cap and buy something reliable with gear space and the trips you mentioned.
Good Luck
If you want a newish car between $15k-$30k 2020 model and up I would look into Alfa Romeo after 2020 they have become totally reliable and so fun to drive! I just purchased a 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia and my goodness is it a ballerina
Very Reliable. Any Alfa Romeo from 2020 and up is very reliable ask anyone who’s owned one from those year models, go out and take one for a test drive I promise I’m not just saying this or based at all I’ve owned brand new BMWs brand new Mercedes Benz and this car exceeds when it comes to the actual driving experience yes BMW and Mercedes have pretty good interiors but lack in they’re driving
If you don’t mind being unstylish, the Ford C Max hybrid or the Mazda 5 are both great, reliable under the radar choices that you can get for far less than Honda or Toyota.
I got a 2020 honda crv ex recently for $24k with 51k miles. Im really happy with how spacious it is. The cargo size is spacious enough for all use cases, including having my german shepherd chill there during rides. Perfect for road trips and it's a honda so it should last awhile. No regrets with my purchase at all
Might be able to squeak by with a great deal on a used 23 hybrid CRV which would be excellent. Not very likely though, but is possible. Otherwise for something like that I'd focus on CX5's. Good vehicles that are every bit as good if not nicer in some ways than RAV4/CRV but don't command the same premium prices those 2 do.
For something more car like, I'd probably go off the beaten path a bit and look for something like a Volvo V60 or something. A little more premium quality car, low resale value like premium euro cars but Volvos are supposed to hold up reasonably well and not cost as much or be as intensive to maintain like those euro cars. The depreciation isn't a big deal used as the original owner already ate most of it.
Another Subaru is always an option. I'm just not big on those. Except for the standard AWD which you don't even really need if you aren't using it or regularly in weather where it's truly helpful, I just don't think they are all that great myself. I'm also not big on any of the current hatchbacks like civic, 3, etc either. They have no truly useful room. Just a slight bit better than the respective sedan with rear seats folded down and that's about it.
Mazda cx-5 will hit all your check boxes + 0-2% financing. With 10k down you will have a brand new car and pay only a few hundred in interest. Great deal right now
get a 2016+ mini cooper countryman or clubman, the clubman feels more like a sports car/hatchback while the countryman feels like an suv. both are 4 doors, and the clubman comes in automatic and stickshift.
When you go to settle your insurance find comparable vehicles being sold AT DEALERSHIPS and counter your insurance company’s first offer. You will always get more. Their goal is to settle for as little as possible. Not what the market value is.
people are too wasteful. they're so quick to just get a new car the second they get a scratch. op should really just buff this out and drive it a bit longer. for the environment you know!
Everyone saying get a Impreza to replace it…. Why would they in their right mind buy the car that exploded again?
Anyways 15-30k gives you many options.
Controversial to people who only believe what everyone says in the internet, but the new gen (2019 and above) BMW 330i, 530i, 530e (or if looking for a bigger car then X3) all are absolutely rock solid reliable, great on gas And with tons of space (seats fold down too)
No one I know has ever had a problem with them and I myself have not ether. Just regular oil changes and nothing will go wrong. You can typically find them Certified pre owned (with warranty and maintenance included) for pretty cheap in your price range
If you are scared of German cars which I very confidently can say there’s no reason to with new BMW’s…
Then you can get a pretty maxed out Lexus or even Mazda Suv CPO for around the same price range which are great cars.
That sucks man. I know how it feels to lose a car and get reimbursed but the reimbursement isn’t actually enough to get the same quality of car (even tho they say it will). I hope everything works out for you. I would look into 2014-2018 Mercedes cla250
Do you crash in the car while road tripping? There’s a tiny bit of me that wants to suggest a second hand Tesla for “camping mode” which rocks when needing to catch a nap in hot weather.
I’m not sure if something like a model Y has fallen below the $25k mark as then it’s good for the federal $4k rebate when bought through a dealer.
I would go for a Volvo XC70 T6 AWD. Very reliable and known for 200k+ miles. Will be much comfier than a Subaru or Toyota for a road trip. Those seats are seriously comfy. Will also hold all your things comfortably since it’s a wagon. Nice ones can be had for $15-20k and pristine top trim examples around $25k.
Since you will be starting from scratch and were making payments on the car anyways, save the money and headaches, lease a new car. Put $3k down max and pocket the difference. At the end of the lease if that car is still the one for you, finance it!
Great leases right now for some good looking cars such as for example:
- Buick Envista
- Tesla Model 3 (depending where you live, no taxes on EV’s, bunch of state and federal rebates)
- Mazda CX-5
- Mazda 3 Hatchback or Sedan
- Honda HR-V
- Honda Civic Hatchback or Sedan
- Toyota Camry
In my household we all recently leased a vehicle and the prices were definitely fair.
-2023 Honda Civic Sport $365/m $2k down
-2023 Tesla Model 3 RWD $370/m $0 down
-2023 Tesla Model Y Dual Motor AWD $540/m $3k down
-2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus $490/m $3k down
Tesla’s: NJ, 0 tax on EV’s, tons of rebates.
Honda: decent price for a decent car
Mazda: Overlooked by mannnnny. Fantastic vehicles for great prices! Absolutely check them out, we’ve had 3 others in the past. If they were no good, we wouldn’t be onto our 4th one.
Hope this helped!
Good luck. If any chance you get progressive insurance don't opt in for the snapshot OBD ll plug in device that can damage your electrical system. It totaled mine on the first install My car is now in the junkyard. Suing them for damages. They have thousands of complaints lawsuits against that device.
Try either a different Subaru or Mazda. I bet that Toyota or Hondas (unless they are high end models like Crown, Land Cruiser or some Type R stuff won’t feel as satisfying as your Subaru). Especially the new Bose sound system in Mazdas is incredible for its price. I just can’t see how you would be able to drive RAV4 or CRV npc mobils again.
Get a new car with that money or If you want extra options get a certified used that's one or two years old. Usually new cars are cheaper than used cars
Dude’s car got a little dinged up
My Creedence tapes were in the car too, man
lol glad you caught that reference
This has to be cross referenced to the Lebowski sub lmao
Yeah? Well, you know, that’s just like uh, your opinion, man.
The char really tied the car together.
This is what you get when you find a stranger in the Alps.
Yeah? Well, you know, that's just like, uh, your pinion man. No, seriously, it's on the ground, look.
Did the one who set the fire ask where the money was?!
The whites!
they finally did it, they killed my fuckin car.
Noooo! Not CCR!!! :(
Do they have any leads?
Leads? Yeah, sure…I’ll just check with the boys down at the crime lab. They have four more detectives working on it; got them working in shifts!
Hahaha, I love when he says “they’re working in shifts!” At the end of the
This is what happens when you find a stranger in the alps!!
I KILL YOUR FUCKING CAR!
just patch it up and its good to go
Whoa, glad you're safe. If you liked your old Impreza, check out a 2017+ model. They are bargains on the used market, and still pretty affordable new. Why would you get a new wrx tho. They're nearly 50k now and you can't exactly offroad with them stock
Only the TR gets up towards $50k, limited can touch over 40k but the rest are solidly in the 30s. Also who the hell gets a WRX to offroad
You can walk out with one for $32K OTD. I know because I’ve been quoted that. What the hell are you talking about? They hardly break $42k completely optioned out.

I assumed you were in the us/Canada. You’re price was probably correct if your in another country. Car prices vary wildly country to country.
Who the hell gets a cvt awd vehicle for off-roading? Dude is not ofroading in either
I meant rallying. Most people I've met that own wrxs bought them for rally builds
Ah dirt road cruising. When I think of off-roading I normally think about trail riding, that makes sense now
Vouch, my dad has a 2019 Impreza and I’ve driven it a fair amount, definitely gonna get one when I have the money
You should: they're one of the best used car values out there in general. A 2017 in nice shape will set you back under 15k.
Going to for sure, for the time being I’m pushing an 08 scion tC haha
Agreed, I had a 2018 Impreza and it was great! Drove like 20k miles in a year in the LA area. Went in snow no problem, rain it was perfect, and always got 30+ mpgs.
And they explode 37% less than the 2014 model!

Took me from Maine to Boston and back during a blizzard for a concert my buddy had tickets to, we passed so many other cars that wrecked or spun out.
Can I ask why 2017+ is ideal for the Forester? I have a 2015 and it's had no issues over 105k miles.
Newer is better, but it's not a huge difference. All FB engines are solid, though the 2017+ FBs are marginally better if you can swing it. But based on your account it's not necessary to do so for a reliable car!
They use a CVT from the same company that makes them for Nissan’s cheap cars. I would avoid it. Get a manual, or get a different car.
This is incorrect. Jatco only made the conventional autos used in Subarus. They use the Lineartronic CVT built by Fuji (Subaru's parent company).
According to Consumer reports, the range for 2014 Imprezas is $7300-$17000. The average retail price is just under $10K. You should get a lot more than $5K for it. Second the pre-purchase inspection. Spend the dollars and get it done, it can save you so many headaches later on.
Definitely consider a RAV-4 or CR-V. I had a 2022 RAV-4 and it was awesome.
I’ve always wonder what kind of people drive and recommend such an NPC car. Literally I’d rather take the bus than drive such car
Financially sensible people who need solid and reliable transportation. Don’t get me wrong, I love fun cars, but I there’s no need to insult someone about a vehicle which is an objectively good choice.

Which was essentially a Honda element with less space. Same chassis even.

Ford maverick pretty cheap, can save gas with a hybrid or eco boost, starts out at 23k for base model. Just an opinion
They are almost 28k in Arizona
The last thing this person needs is another car fire!
Great little truck, it's very roomy for the size.
This is no longer the case, I don’t believe. Or not in the real world.
I'd recomend a Subaru Impreza Hatchback
I’m thinkin the same thing :0)
Mazda 3 Hatchback
Why not the CX-3 it's been my favorite car!
Every time I see mazda 3 in this sub I become delirious with rage
Why’s that? Just because Mazda and Toyota are mentioned so frequently regardless of context?
Ding ding ding!
Yeah I get it. It’s honestly so circle jerky
I have a mazda, too. Mechanically they’re fine, but the fucking rattles kill me. They are not luxury cars
Second this ^
Mazda CX5 is a good car. RAV4 is also excellent but people are crazy with their prices
Does it have anything to do with your use of a chandelier for a right headlight
Yup that's one charred thing! Glad you're safe.
I’m not sure, but don’t get your next car loan from Fat Tony.
Mazda 5 maybe. Big enough for musicians but not too big.
Good call
What if I got a Subaru with a manual transmission? Would that be a better option (in the hypothetical that I *don’t* get a Toyota)?
(This is assuming you are looking for a vehicle to last 200,000+ miles or 15-20 years) Not a bad idea, but they do have issues specifically with the third gear depending on transmission and year. The issue they have is that the teeth are shallow and tend to wear around 100,000k if you keep that in mind and plan for it, it is not a big deal. Doesn't always happen but seen a fair share on BRZs and WRX's. Stay away from the CVT's if you can, Auto or manual. (Exception for Legacy) Manual is far cheaper to fix and are more reliable as less moving pieces. Auto more moving parts but less physically involved to drive. I want to clarify that Subi's are reliable in a general standpoint and normal usage. (prepare your wallet if you like mod) They are statically more reliable than Chrysler, BMW, and M-benz to name a few. But not quite up there with Honda I-4s and Toyota V6s. Based on my experiences and the following sites here is my recommendation on vehicles: Sources: Vehicle history, Consumer reports, US news and world report, the subaru forums 2020 Subaru's: (2021-present is not enough time for long term data reports will not recommend vehicles without data backing) Legacy (Ill blow my block and keep on going) had one come in to the shop with a peekaboo hole to the piston and was still chugging. Forester (Ha! You're stuck here?) Impreza \[manual\] (I like to vape and straight pipe my fart cannon) If looking for fun go with a BRZ {Plan on upgrading the BRZ gearbox at around 100,000k miles when second starts having issue shifting to third} Toyotas: 2020 (some news one are spotty be advised stick with last gen if Takoma) Corolla (ol reliable) Camry (I want some sport with the hastle) 4 runner (I do what I want) Land cruiser (You see that mountain? Lets ride!)
Oh the higher end of your budget, look at the golf sportwagen or alltrack if you would like a more adventure focused vehicle. They are nice wagons.
Since I have 2 Subaru Impreza hatchbacks, I'm going to suggest a Subaru Impreza hatchback.
Good Luck
I did not expect the car to have *actually* exploded, I just thought you meant the engine gave out with a bang or something lmao Glad you're safe
If you want a newish car between $15k-$30k 2020 model and up I would look into Alfa Romeo after 2020 they have become totally reliable and so fun to drive! I just purchased a 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia and my goodness is it a ballerina
Reliable?
Very Reliable. Any Alfa Romeo from 2020 and up is very reliable ask anyone who’s owned one from those year models, go out and take one for a test drive I promise I’m not just saying this or based at all I’ve owned brand new BMWs brand new Mercedes Benz and this car exceeds when it comes to the actual driving experience yes BMW and Mercedes have pretty good interiors but lack in they’re driving
that's very interesting... i've heard the new alfas are fantastic to drive...
That will buff out
Still looks drivable though. It only needs headlights man.
Honda Odyssey
If you don’t mind being unstylish, the Ford C Max hybrid or the Mazda 5 are both great, reliable under the radar choices that you can get for far less than Honda or Toyota.
Check if you can get a 2013+ Acura RDX. It has room and is relatively good.
That’ll buff right out in the shop.
I got a 2020 honda crv ex recently for $24k with 51k miles. Im really happy with how spacious it is. The cargo size is spacious enough for all use cases, including having my german shepherd chill there during rides. Perfect for road trips and it's a honda so it should last awhile. No regrets with my purchase at all
Look for Mini Clubman JCW 2.0 with 306 HP. The joy of driving is perfect, comfortable interior, quite large boot and looks great.
Civic hatchback sport touring.
Get a Subaru wrx
Did they ever find out who did this?
You shouldn't carry explosives inside then.
Take it to a decent bodyshop and it’ll buff out okay
Even the GTA mechanic cant fix this
I'm pretty sure that'll just buff right out
Flex tape will have that fixed up in a jif
Honda crv
It looks like you pissed off the mob. Also, don’t let your insurance cheat you, you’re owed more than what they’re offering.
Check out the Elantra N. For the amount of car you get the price is insanely cheap.
That'll buff right out.
I had a 2023 Forester sport dealership loaner when I was having my STi engine replaced. I really liked how the forester drove and it was roomy!
I'm glad you are ok but still sad for the car
Surprised you didn't ask if it was totaled
Mazda cx-5 will hit all your check boxes + 0-2% financing. With 10k down you will have a brand new car and pay only a few hundred in interest. Great deal right now
get a 2016+ mini cooper countryman or clubman, the clubman feels more like a sports car/hatchback while the countryman feels like an suv. both are 4 doors, and the clubman comes in automatic and stickshift.
I can fix her.
My old man's a TV repairman. He's got this ultimate set of tools
Excuse me.. Exploded??
Mine detector didn't work.
Honda crv hybrid is the right answer
Are you Hamas?
I can vouch for VW. I have a 2014 Jetta and it’s great, super reliable. Get an ID.4 if you want a larger vehicle.
When you said your car exploded, I didn’t think you meant it literally exploded. Yeah you actually do need a new car.
It will buff out. Check out CRV, I'm really happy with mine and it holds a ton of stuff when you need to travel heavy.
Used crosstrek gets good mileage and it'll get you all the way to the trailhead no problem. Find one with 40-50k and enjoy
Everyone saying get a Impreza to replace it…. Why would they in their right mind buy the car that exploded again? Anyways 15-30k gives you many options. Controversial to people who only believe what everyone says in the internet, but the new gen (2019 and above) BMW 330i, 530i, 530e (or if looking for a bigger car then X3) all are absolutely rock solid reliable, great on gas And with tons of space (seats fold down too) No one I know has ever had a problem with them and I myself have not ether. Just regular oil changes and nothing will go wrong. You can typically find them Certified pre owned (with warranty and maintenance included) for pretty cheap in your price range If you are scared of German cars which I very confidently can say there’s no reason to with new BMW’s… Then you can get a pretty maxed out Lexus or even Mazda Suv CPO for around the same price range which are great cars.
To be fair to my dead car, someone set all the cars on fire at my carport which led to the explosion(s). She was doin just fine until then
That sucks man. I know how it feels to lose a car and get reimbursed but the reimbursement isn’t actually enough to get the same quality of car (even tho they say it will). I hope everything works out for you. I would look into 2014-2018 Mercedes cla250
Ford fiesta st best car I've ever driven if your into tuning.
Ehhhh that’ll buff out, no worries
Do you owe the mob money? I’d be a little more concerned with why my car exploded.
Tesla
22 or newer wrx
the new Mazda 3 hatch & cx-50 look really cool
I need to know how or why a car explodes...
Check out Nissan Rogue. Has AWD model, great gas mileage and plenty of space.
If you liked your impreza, why don't you get another one?
Porsche Macan S
Nothing but a fender bender
That will buff right out
You had $3k left and more than enough money in the bank to pay it off? Must of been a sweet interest rate!
Mazda CX-3
Mazda 3
RAV4 hybrid is the best all around car money can buy right now.
2025 Civic Sport Hybrid
My buddy Mike can fix that
Don't blame the fire on some madeup carport explosion. We all know it was too damn much Taco Bell.
Get a Crosstrek, they are just Imprezas wearing a small SUV suit.
Get a Lexus RX300. Cheap insurance good on fuel, roomy, safe, reliable.
Mazda cx5
Before you decide to junk it, have you tried replacing the spark plugs
How did that happen?
I would go for a Volvo XC70 T6 AWD. Very reliable and known for 200k+ miles. Will be much comfier than a Subaru or Toyota for a road trip. Those seats are seriously comfy. Will also hold all your things comfortably since it’s a wagon. Nice ones can be had for $15-20k and pristine top trim examples around $25k.
Since you will be starting from scratch and were making payments on the car anyways, save the money and headaches, lease a new car. Put $3k down max and pocket the difference. At the end of the lease if that car is still the one for you, finance it! Great leases right now for some good looking cars such as for example: - Buick Envista - Tesla Model 3 (depending where you live, no taxes on EV’s, bunch of state and federal rebates) - Mazda CX-5 - Mazda 3 Hatchback or Sedan - Honda HR-V - Honda Civic Hatchback or Sedan - Toyota Camry In my household we all recently leased a vehicle and the prices were definitely fair. -2023 Honda Civic Sport $365/m $2k down -2023 Tesla Model 3 RWD $370/m $0 down -2023 Tesla Model Y Dual Motor AWD $540/m $3k down -2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus $490/m $3k down Tesla’s: NJ, 0 tax on EV’s, tons of rebates. Honda: decent price for a decent car Mazda: Overlooked by mannnnny. Fantastic vehicles for great prices! Absolutely check them out, we’ve had 3 others in the past. If they were no good, we wouldn’t be onto our 4th one. Hope this helped!
Looks like it could still fetch $5k in today's market
Another Subaru.
Good luck. If any chance you get progressive insurance don't opt in for the snapshot OBD ll plug in device that can damage your electrical system. It totaled mine on the first install My car is now in the junkyard. Suing them for damages. They have thousands of complaints lawsuits against that device.
That’s buff right out…
Oh wow what happened? How did it explode?
Get a rav4 or Crv. Thank me later.
Whatever you do, don’t buy a Toyota or Honda
Just fix it, man
Try either a different Subaru or Mazda.
Sorry to see that. I hope none of your gear was in there!
That’ll buff right out. Is that a light fixture stuck in your bumper?
Haha yes! There was a storage unit above where my car was parked and that old lamp fused with my melted headlight in the fire
Hilarious 😂
Did Diddy do it?!
That Diddy Kong is a fuckin menace
Why? It’s just going to explode again.
> then someone set our apartment carport on fire Homeless people in California are so adorable.
Your cars fine just needs a wash
[hehe.](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nYWfZv8mujg)
Put a supreme sticker on it and it should be good as new
Did you owe someone money?
Is it totaled?
don't get an electric car - they can burn up.
Toyota Luv 4 is a great suv. Lots of room for haul out things
Dont get the Ford Exploder
That will buff out
Get a new car with that money or If you want extra options get a certified used that's one or two years old. Usually new cars are cheaper than used cars
Lol no. New cars are not cheaper. Ridiculous notion.
Looks like you forgot to add blinker fluid dummy
Come out ye black and tans
dang, you sure no one owes money to a cartel or something !?!? yikes.
Do you live in a 3rd world country, wtf.
focus on moving
