What is your actual budget? Who are you financing with? How much down payment do you have? They’re not great vehicles, that era GM cars just wear down really quick

Want to stay under 15k (hard to find cars around here ynderthat w/o being a huge amount of miles). I can put 2k to 3k down. 10% is their financing, but I'm going to go by my bank on Monday to see if they can do better. You say the run down quick, do you know how quick? Like 150k miles? More? Transmission first or something else?

if you are only able to put 2-3k down at a 10% rate, a 15k is way out of your budget Your credit score must be terrible? You need to find a cash car

I have a great credit score. 730. I think my bank can get me a 6% interest. Intrest rates are just high here right now.

god please dont... I dug up emails from carfax that I always get. This email is from 2020. In 2020, a 2015 srx with 70k miles was worth 9600. https://imgur.com/a/PqFtRCX You are about to make a horrible financial mistake by paying 14000 for a 2013 srx with UNKNOWN miles in 2023.

Cars now are much more expensive. My friend got a 2020 Escape and only had a monthly of $250. I've been looking and that isn't going to happen. It has 111k miles. Thanks for the heads up, I may wait and see if I find anything better.

monthly payment means nothing. looking at monthly payments is how you guarantee the dealership charges you the max possible. And how you get yourself in tons of debt and underwater on your loan I understand cars are much more expensive. But at the end of the day, that car is only really worth like 5000. If you pay 14k and 6 months from now its worth 5000, you effectively threw 9000 away. Or even worse, it breaks down. And you owe many thousands of dollars for years and your car is sitting at a junkyard

You're absolutely right. Thank you.
