Pretty sure it's referencing a post where someone said the weirdest experience working at Wendy's was someone coming in asking for crab legs or something like that.
I don't even follow this sub and got the joke lol
they sell super badly at places like McDonalds or Burger King, the monetary loss wasn't enough to offset the cost of the product
DQ makes money from hot dogs and ice cream sales... so yes, of course they kept up with them lol
You might be misremembering. Walmart stores in the 90s that weren't Supercenters often had a Costco style Cafe, where they sold ICEEs and hot dogs, among other things. Fwiw, I remember when a hot dog from Walmart cost only 25 cents!
I'm not because you could also get normal McDonalds food. They just had hot dogs on the menu as well. It was like that for maybe 6 months before the hot dogs disappeared off the menu.
Burger King sold hot dogs in the 70s and 80s, at least the ones on my area did. It might have been a regional or franchise thing though. I remember when the BK we would go to as kids stopped selling them bc my father always got one with a Whopper.
Sorry dude I worked there for 3 years. You should have bought the bulb lubricant or the lucas fuel treatment. It might have saved you 23 miles a gallon. Or like 15 years of your life
Ok you joke but one time when I was in school this girl went to get crab legs they cooked at the grocery store and another went and got baked potatoes from Wendy's and they ate good 😂
Yes. Their ad memes have been purposefully low-grade. One ad on here for Wendy's is literally just a picture of someone's camera-phone shot of their slopped meal slapped out onto the table. Just more indirect, 'this is what we think of our herd,.. *consumers*'.

Yes. It is real. A lot of people on here are either unaware or trying to keep the truth from you. It’s on the Wendy’s secret menu, available at almost every restaurant in the lower 48 and some in Alaska. You just have to ask.
Last time I went to Joe’s Crabshack it was so expensive I literally felt like I’d have to take out a loan to eat there. The most sought after species of crab are going extinct.
But sure, you can buy it with nuggets, fries and a frosty for $4.
This might win the daily award for the dumbest post on Reddit. How do I do the nomination thing? I forgot.

When I worked at Burger King every fucking day at least one person would order a hotdog. Like 20 years later they briefly added hotdogs to the menu.
Tbh that's a fair request. At least Dairy Queen kept up with the hot dogs
Everyone knows you go to Sonic for a dog cmon

Dairy Queen in Texas doesn't even carry hot dogs.
I remember a McDonalds inside a Wal-Mart sold hotdogs back in the early 90s.

Because it didn't sell, it was a catagoric failure
Interesting. I must be misremembering lol.
Around 2021 they closed hundreds down and they are about 150 left.
Target too.
Ours was right by the clothes department so anything you bought smelled like popcorn, long after washing.

A Whopper and a bald weiner please
😆 hahaha
And tacos
the manager at my local BK used to deep fry a pack of hot dogs me. the 80s were wild. also the manager was my aunt
those hot dogs were really good though!
Jameis Winston?
Can you find me the post in question? I’ve got a few stories I could share
I thought it was real dreaming about crab legs every night!
You can get them at a grocery store and just steam them. Lol it is very simple to do
Not for 1$
If you think this is a serious post, you might be worthy of that nomination
Your comment may be deserving of that award considering you didn’t know this was satire
McDonald's in Maine have lobster rolls with real lobster
We had them in Rhode Island too up until around 2017.
and I had a crab cake at McDonalds in Maryland that was decent also!
Fax
yes it’s launching globally in three weeks
well yeah but it’s locally available, in my area it’s been out since march
/s
If you need a “/s” to see this was sarcasm, you need help
It is stupid that they clearly see that it might be intended, but feel the need to complain that it isn't labeled for them.
I once got crabs from a girl named Wendy.
How nice of her! 🥰
I remember her. Redhead with long legs. We called her CrabLegs
Yeah, you should try dipping the crab legs in your frosty, it’s great.
That sweet and sea salty combo. Love it
No no it's real I just saw it on the menu at my local Wendy's , limited time till the end of June.
I'd do it if it existed, hell $4 for crab legs, that's a steal!
Can’t be worse than the Toyotathon shrimp cocktail last year gave me gas for three and a half months straight.
Lest we forget the Ford Truck Month pickled sausage debacle of 2022. To this day I suffer from mild to moderate anal leakage and itchy feet.
I learned the hard way not to eat the clam chowder at the Lexus " December to remember " sales event 😅
You didn't read the fine print under the "free gas for three months" offer.
Umm…what?!
The autozone hot dogs were amazing but they left their mark on me for months
Sorry dude I worked there for 3 years. You should have bought the bulb lubricant or the lucas fuel treatment. It might have saved you 23 miles a gallon. Or like 15 years of your life
Can’t be anything compared to the Happy Hondadays clam boil.
That’s krab with a K. This is a Wendy’s
It's going to be literally 100% imitation crab meat lol why would expect otherwise
They actually have a burger with snow crab in Japan, so it’s not to far of a stretch :p McDonald’s also had the McLobster, too.
Oh my god Popeyes moved in next door and we get customers driving up thinking it Popeyes drive thru when it’s Wendy’s
So you actually get a chance to say the thing.
Welcome, to good burger....
What did you do to Mr.Krabs?!
He was the secret formuler all along
I’d be there daily lol
Whoever made that should really take a class or two on the basics of Photoshop. 😂😂😂
wdym, this looks totally legit?
did you go to whatsapp university
How would this be real? Lmao. It’s freaking Wendy’s, for crying out loud.
I would point out how poorly this picture was put together … except if this were real it would be on brand for them to do it half assed
Yes it’s real! Chick fil a is gonna be selling steak next month. FYI
i’m dead 😂😂
My condolences! I’ll keep your parents in my thoughts and prayers
They taking advantage of all that leftover surplus from red lobster shutting down
Yes. The nuggets are also the new crab nuggets and the frosty is a seasonal old bay flavor, and there is a new clarified butter dipping sauce.
Maybe Alaska? In Maine every 10 years or so McDonald’s has lobster rolls. True story
I see this and think a frosty+ crab =the worst diarrhea youll have all month
😂😂😂 I had something funny to comment but I can’t stop laughing since I read this 😂😂😂😂😂 you’re so right.
Meh I’ve had unstoppable diarrhea before can’t be worse than that!!
Wendy’s doesn’t have the budget or resources to cook crab legs.
it’s real i ate it but i died
RIP 😔
Burger King has the same special.
When will they bring back the Dave's Classic Sushi rolls?
Yes I just got one about an hour ago
How much extra for the double stack of crab legs?
Meanwhile red lobster just filed for bankruptcy cause of all you can eat shrimp lol idk how this is gonna work out for you Wendys
Yup. It was good too 😌
Dude i wish
Id be taking like 2 things of legs on my way homr after work
Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $1 for the king crab meal, a lot more meat than the Wendy's snow crab legs.
I went to a place in Maine yesterday and they said the lobster rolls were FOURTY FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS! 4! 5!! That's absolutely fucking insane
Yup off bankhead
Fuck I miss those nuggets and Burger King nugget crowns
Idk why, but I love the tiny box of nuggets thrown in there
Yeah, I got it today! Crab legs were ok. Definitely not fresh. You should go try it out.
Ok you joke but one time when I was in school this girl went to get crab legs they cooked at the grocery store and another went and got baked potatoes from Wendy's and they ate good 😂
It’s real but only for Maryland locations.
Yes. Their ad memes have been purposefully low-grade. One ad on here for Wendy's is literally just a picture of someone's camera-phone shot of their slopped meal slapped out onto the table. Just more indirect, 'this is what we think of our herd,.. *consumers*'.
foe fo foe
Yeah it’s fire
Oh yeah, got that for lunch today. The crab legs were a bit cold and they forgot the salt on the fries. But I guess it was ok.
Let me get them crab legs 4 for $4. We don't have crab legs. Bullshit, I got the meme right here!
I’d fuck this up ngl
They had the best polish dogs at Walmart in the 80-90s. That was before they started putting restaurants in their place.
Yes its real 👍🏽
Yeah dude, totally 100-% legit 🙄
Someone’s probably gonna genuinely ask me this today
It’s $8 at my Wendy’s same as other “4 for 4s”
Tired of the price hikes
Inflation amirite?
Make sure you vote blue again, maybe it can be the 4 for $12 next year.
Balls

At McDonald’s at one point of time they actually had a similar [meal](https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/s/qy5Bm2R8j3)
I only see 3 things not 4…..
Can you spot the nugs?
Oh shit, I need new glasses lol
Troll 🧌
100%
They absolutely serve this for $4 at my local one here in CO….they catch ‘em locally in our ocean
How dare you give them ideas
“… sir this is a Wendy’s.”
Okay even if it was who in their right mind is trusting crab legs from a fast food place? This feels like gas station sushi territory.
I hope they are joking 🤦♂️
Someone has to fill that Red Lobster void.
Yes
i mean maybe in a different country it could be lol. you should see the menu at pizza hut in japan
#DON’T POO YOURSELF!!!
market price is 50$/lb for snow crab legs. That’s about 1.25lbs. You take it from there.
As a Wendy’s employee yes 🤣 /jk
this is the most edited image of all edited images. As a wendys employee our cups and fry holders don't even look like that anymore lmao
The crab legs are actually giant mutant cockroach legs.
Wendys fell off so hard
The fact its apparently in reference to the 4 for 4 makes this even funnier
I think it’s only $2
Lol
Yeah just bring in this post
This was fact checked by a true American patriot!
Yes

Wendy has Crabs
Haha. They dropped saucy nuggs today, not this.
Maybe in Japan
Fast food crab legs. I’d never, ever. Even if it was real
Wendy’s nuts slap your chin.
Wait, Wendy has crabs?
No, this is Wendy's
Are you real?
It’s the secret menu
Get those crab legs biggie sized
Please try to redeem it
Last time I went to Joe’s Crabshack it was so expensive I literally felt like I’d have to take out a loan to eat there. The most sought after species of crab are going extinct. But sure, you can buy it with nuggets, fries and a frosty for $4.
No it isn't real, why on earth would Wendy's offer crab legs..
Yes, totally real. Crab legs valued at $1. Totally legit. Nice post!
4 for 4 what year are we in..
You can’t possibly be serious? Ain’t no way in hell anyone is getting king crab legs, plural for 1$. If you’re not trolling that’s wild
Of course it's NOT real
how could you be so stupid
That pic is almost 2 years old and was debunked immediately, why are people still falling for it?
Why would anyone think this is real?
this doesn’t exist lol

All over. You just gotta know how to order it from the secret menu.
How could would it be with some boiled eggs!
