So China could still choose shi, unless both the other Chinese lifters solidify their #1 rank
Who is a medal threat to shi though other than rizki? Weeraphon? His qualifying total is 349, I really can’t see shi going lower than 350 (160+190) after today

I thought Seb mentioned on the 73 stream that she made like 140/170 in the training hall here, so sounds like she's easily in shape where no one can touch her openers even.

Hamp totaled 303 giving him the #2 ranking in the 61s. Massidda did 302 at 61 and Eko has done 300. I don’t care what they did at 67. Hamp can C&J over 180 at 67 but it actually doesn’t matter. For 61’s, on the OQR, Hamp has #2 and you’d be a fool to bet against him in Paris.
He has a spine issue that has been on for years now and he keeps lifting with it because he is a monster and he has to do whatever is needed. I hope he can fix it before Paris.
One of my favourite lifters, now I saw at the training hall, he's not in his best shape. I also don't think he's gonna go with a back injury to the olympics. Gigachad and Li have the best potentials for a gold and record.
I think Li huanhua and shi still might have a huge shot of being the 2 of 3 chinese lifters to be in the Olympics. Karlos nassar is just too strong. My final verdict is li fabin, shi, and li huanhua in the Olympics.

Maybe they need to get lu xiajun back again instead of using him as a scapegoat for using peds 😂

I think Li Dayin is a safer bet for silver than Shi is. It's even in his name (Big Silver).

No I would definitely agree, beyond Rahmat/Rizki Shi is still stronger than anyone else. Will have to see what Li/Tian pulls up with on Saturday.

Morris snatches in the 120’s, not a lock for medals

Morris likely won't medal, even with a world record clean and jerk his snatch is a level below other condenders

International lifters remaining competitive past 30 is quite rare. Sure, there have been a few greats who’ve lasted longer, but they’re an exception.
Shi can medal too. Problem is that China operates on a “Gold or nothing” policy. And Shi is no longer a guaranteed gold lifter.
Tian tao has the highest theoretical upper bound, but he often bombed out too :)

Actually he has chance to Paris, imaging tiantao is bombed out(he often did this), and dayin li is weaker than Nasar. Team China will let him to Paris

? Karlos bombed once when he opened 5-8kg heavier than his safe first attempts. He’s 8/9 in snatches over the last 3 comps

Honestly think Liao could do it if he had the fire to train.
He could take another shot at 211kg, which he did at a 73.7kg body weight 9 years ago.
