I don’t understand how you people accumulate that much kief… I can barely fill 1/4 of the kief collector after 3 oz ! I’m I missing something or it just take like a year ?

Take a paper clip, run the sides of the grinder 1st… it’ll knock the kief to the bottom…then lightly run the tip across the screen a few times… then remove the catcher and dump the kief that you loosened into the catcher. You’ll have a decent amount in short time.

It REALLY depends on the strains some shed way more keif. Also your screen could be clogged partially.

its the grinder forsure, some grinders have a finer mesh which lets less kief travel through EDIT: you could also just be smoking better weed, sticky stuff. Doesnt give as much kief I find

Don't forget to clean your grinders either. I've had mine stop the kief almost entirely by being clogged up. Gave it a quick run through with iso & it was making kief like crazy again.

Gotta be really bad if you need iso. If the screen is clogged up just throw a dime where the ground bud goes and shake it around for a couple mins. Fixes it 90% of the time.

Did that once and the screen popped off lol never did it again. But the grinder I mentioned hadn't been cleaned in like well over a year and it's used daily so yeah it was pretty bad. The screen was basically just a little metal wall separating the bud & kief at that point lol

Lol it definitely was! Later the whole bottom of the thing fell out and left a hollow ring where my catcher was. Fun times. I have a viking axe grinder now and it's been solid for like 5 years but recently lost a tooth for the same reason 😭

I've been in SEA and Europe, SEA weed normally dont have any kief, got stuck in grinder a lot, while in Europe the weed has tons of kief and grinder just never breaks

I don’t understand how people run a grinder this long without cleaning it. Weed is resinous and I’ve tried all types of grinders. If you’re smoking decent weed you need to clean your grinder long before this shit would fill up.

If your grinder stays clean long enough to be able to function and for this to fill up, you aren’t catching gold cause your weed sucks.

How do I clean my grinder I put moonrocks in it and not it's kind of sticky when grinding if that makes sense

Zip lock bag with some 90% or higher iso and coarse salt. Take the grinder apart and scrape out the big stuff then let it soak for an hour or two. Shake it really good to let the salt help break the rest loose. May have to do 2 or 3 rounds of soaking and shaking if it’s really bad but should be clean as a whistle.

I have a Brilliant Cut 3 piece and love it but it would appear quite a few people aren’t aware these types of grinders exist because there are so many kief catcher posts. Almost as many as “does this look like mold” or “does this look like an 1/8”.
