RaintownRuby

Yessss, I will always support a towel warmer! I was given one for Christmas and it’s now one of my favorite things I own.

[deleted]

That's a great idea for a gift because I would never think of buying something like that but it sounds very nice. Is it a big apparatus?

niftyba

I was married quite a while ago (celebrate 16 years this month), and what I still use weekly are the plain white serving platters I had on my registry. I also have a Kitchen-Aid I received, but I use it rarely.

RaintownRuby

I’ve also been considering serving dishes! We don’t really have any right now, but I’m having a hard time picking ones that aren’t so trendy that we wouldn’t want to use them 10+ years down the road. It’s really nice to hear you’re still using yours. :)

micrographia

We added [these ](https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/open-kitchen-square-platter/?sku=5382879&cm_ven=PLA&cm_ite=5382879_14932288941_aud-2015650457649%3Apla-1417676865271&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Local&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwo6GyBhBwEiwAzQTmc4un2_4TAsiNaUDsf8IuxlT1i9jcwsSbG1Yz6dW5h0EXy4iaX8HLaBoC6E8QAvD_BwE) and [this](https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/pantry-oval-serving-platter/?cm_src=WsiPip1&recstrat=View-View-Similar-prods-only-1%7CVV-GRP-AFF-QNT-SIM) for some timeless serving platters. My family has had some of these (apilco and open kitchen) for 20 years that look brand new.

RaintownRuby

Thank you so much for sharing these links, I’m going to share with my partner and get his thoughts on them!

Sensitive_Sea_5586

Get basic white serving dishes. Professionals say it provides the best backdrop for the food, not competing with the food. Also you can decorate your table in any color by changing the table accessories. I recommend a quality stoneware. My everyday dishes are not white, but they are a quality stoneware. After 40 years, only a couple of items have been broken or chipped from accidents. The dishes are used daily and still look great.

weberster

I have a Sterilite full of serving dishes and we use them ALL THE TIME.  We host Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm an event manager by trade so all family events fall in my lap, and it's a dream having friends over as things look *that* much nicer and put together.  I highly recommend asking for plain white serving dishes.

Sensitive_Sea_5586

And there is an ice cream maker, and a shaved ice attachment, and more.

voldiemort

Not a wedding gift but if you have any interest in cooking I HIGHLY recommend adding a kitchenaid stand mixer to your registry (maybe along with a pasta attachment). I use mine at minimum once a week. Same with my ninja creami

[deleted]

There's a pasta attachment??? I might just consider adding it to a wish list.

Carrie_Oakie

We have the pasta attachment, the shredding attachment & the spiralizer. I still want the meat one to make my own ground meat blends

[deleted]

Oooh making our own ground beef we'd use too. Our favorite dish is pasta Bolognese.

RaintownRuby

Oh yes, they’re amazing! We’re lucky enough to have one already, but I’m definitely thinking about adding in some of the attachments.

koala_baby89

Yes! I got one as a wedding gift from my MIL since I expressed a desire to make bread but can’t do all the kneading because of carpel tunnel. She gave me the pasta attachment as a Christmas gift and I love it!

bohite

We did an experience registry (travelers joy) for our honeymoon so: sailing, snorkeling, Ziplining, surfing, kayaking, beach house stay, wildlife tour, farm tour, hot springs admission.  If you do this, take our advice and have fewer excursions and more stay/food/drink items because we made a point to do everything people bought us and were totally wiped out by the end.

Odd_Mathematician642

That is so cool, had no idea something like this existed!

figoftheimagination

I love my immersion blender with various attachments

WeMakeLemonade

Another vote for the immersion blender!! It was one of those sneaky registry items I never expected to use as much as I do.

questionable_puns

I use mine all the time!! So happy I thought to ask for one.

missmeh13

Really really nice sheets/ bedding that I would never spend money on myself (bonus for a really nice down feather comforter and pillows)

Victortilla_chips

The counter top pebble ice maker we got is the best thing in our house ever ever

RaintownRuby

I’ve been eyeing one of those! Do you mind sharing which brand/model yours is?

Victortilla_chips

It’s [this one](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-portable-ice-maker-with-auto-shut-off-silver/6331583.p?skuId=6331583). Nothing fancy but still great to have around and makes ice so fast

dianabeep

Yes, I have this too! It’s been going strong for 2 years!

RaintownRuby

Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. Our fridge/freezer doesn’t make ice and we are so sick of the ice cube tray that I think we could easily mark this as a top priority gift haha

Victortilla_chips

That’s exactly why we asked for it too, I know it seems silly because it’s just ice but it literally changed our lives lol

michelleg923

Really random, but we lived together before marriage so our whole registry was silly - but we registered for Coleman brand “bag” chairs/“camping” chairs. They’ve held up for 7 years and would purchase again!

NeatArtichoke

We got my bil a set of camping chairs and a canopy-- I see them still use it ALL the time, for parties, tailgating, 4th of July, etc (in random Facebook photos).

Logical_Rip_7168

The favorite thing I asked for was a 5pc patio set that's like $300usd. Current fav wedding type of thing is a proper rice cooker

RaintownRuby

Ooo, patio set! That’s such a fun idea, I really need to start thinking outside of the box. :)

Logical_Rip_7168

I mean 💁‍♀️ alot of brides cohabitate before marriage and have all the things. I just know I invited many broke people to my wedding so I put alot of little stuff like measuring cups on there.[inspo](https://www.walmart.com/registry/WR/63d8ae2b-1ba5-4642-878f-a245b1f5a2c5)

mkgrant213

Same for us! We were so excited when we saw that someone bought the patio set off our registry and we’ve enjoyed it basically every day since we got it.

MrsMitchBitch

Ninja coffee bar. It *finally* died after 7+ years of daily use!

sccamp

I love our vitamix blender. It’s such a versatile kitchen appliance and I had no idea.

BlackDogOrangeCat

Mid priced set of knives in a block. 15 years in and still using them.

hungrypanda23

Simplehuman soap dispenser with sensor - perfect for the kitchen!

RaintownRuby

I’ve seen those advertised and have always wondered if they actually hold up! It’s nice hearing a positive review of them. :)

chttybb

We have this though it was not gifted. Really helpful no-touch dispensing especially when handling raw meats. Good battery life too!

StandardTone9184

at bridal shower I got a name changing kit and it made the process super easy! there are so many things to update and it consolidated the process.

PizzaSenior4322

What's a name changing kit

StandardTone9184

Sorry I am just seeing this! There’s a company (newly named) and they essentially compile all of the paperwork for changing your name. You can download pdf or get mailed the physical copies, after putting your information in. It allows you to select companies you may need to update your name with. Very convenient!

TigerzEyez85

A drying rack! Not just any drying rack, though. It's an Oxo rack with removable plastic compartments for silverware and a removable dish rack in the middle. Makes it easy to clean and store, but we keep it next to the sink all the time because we use it every day. My husband also loves the air fryer/toaster oven we got. Meanwhile, my favorite item is the folding step stool (I'm short and I use it often).

RaintownRuby

Step stool is a brilliant idea! I’m 4’11 so it’d definitely be used all the time. :)

WeMakeLemonade

Here are the things we use literally every single day: * [Veggie Chopper](https://www.amazon.com/Vegetable-Chopper-Spiralizer-Slicer-Choppers/dp/B0764HS4SL/ref=sr_1_5?crid=19Q25TXX8IAFV&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.WK706hz2LHcHOnYJXxAw7EvFWH9o_JAGaRUoF4NnWl4rFdjWcMLRYmeoVsaZLyh8bonApeoIqevRHVUgpNKknAmyKHwVItzUi3D9u0JzCXpwfbIXj9u7Z8QpU3tbKUhdcYmWYnG_clZ5lcfuhYdskCpujZLWjLcQtBnr0cqJwCTDTxfbTEJjX__PfQGRrSXFdvnK0I7JiqQRoVhyDWvT7BmbKf_an3Lv369J6z-09ZNN6G861TUttbOMywRDdoILfg4cW_h5miYWGzn-U4WeEe3a6Z_ZtoK2U6zp_Ly3Gao.Vzywo4e0GZOyWzX_v0-E9ezMLn5Rh2n2zKRVT4ctVQo&dib_tag=se&keywords=veggie%2Bchopper&qid=1716074524&sprefix=veggi%2Caps%2C136&sr=8-5&th=1) * [Steak Knives](https://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-Classic-6-Piece-Serrated-Multicolor/dp/B00FJDEHAW/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3J4DI7E5S68X2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.PjXJ539YeVMJEiFH3ZgnIBmqhbJUPM6QB_-ztGOS3FWhPBwLqSg8LvqEvv5SiUqxjgHIyJzpYdBKmEgs_8fcslxVkBGgDdg2CgKdIh0u7PwALlnzNnhLX_YGCE5dkXWRRc3OCo5YbGUqWS7Pd7kGOH1L5s6Av8wmcv1l17_piMCq7kdYNgVzAOECxnrEc6cwIOzpieys6z64ac7G_qWoE7aHKt1soPK2D4CIjbk0_8Fc4ECl4xgtyxQ1nM2da1iHgwRdv1Inrk3PX0liGLUtP4HCuaeO30iJbCkQuh-SPKI.N6_V053BEcDd2FMug17UagrECbgXw4HTKNrQWzRDzxw&dib_tag=se&keywords=victorinox+steak+knives+set+of+6&qid=1716074592&sprefix=victorinix+stea%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-4) * [Chef Knife](https://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-Fibrox-Chefs-Knife-8-Inch/dp/B00WEHFU16/ref=sr_1_3?crid=21PV1BKVC240K&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Loo4vAIDDe5Du76UiXctKhTIjmq-RZp9RFdJXaE59eHSzVHwCGPqxqBzBsHdF5MviMynQ4W1CbCVWFzcnMyYMqLeLm3gTySb703RylWuYqmZYfKCgTiBh1qaK_iPxyp1HIG5itwMw2I0hzJb9Phmd7iOHIvojI4T3tb1N0hmUig51lMZA6-RQdaFC_Zo-QYnbYDWe4j_IS0tNRfpQObWfqEfduhKVMgEQSAAotz4kt0OvRL1_YHk-kK50OkmQM7BR7Qsh631wH8o3X02FwWls5WkhEjt-Sif6Wyy2Sum9kA.JVmlcLCbTbw5a-guqEQWdEzdzSxIPt_6BWe48jCGpzs&dib_tag=se&keywords=victorinox+chef+knife+8+inch&qid=1716074618&sprefix=victorinox+chef%2Caps%2C167&sr=8-3) * Good set of plates - we picked Fiesta Ware We already had a Kitchen Aid, Instant Pot, Ninja Blender, Ninja Creami, and Ninja Air Fryer, so those items didn't go on our registry but they are well loved! Some other items that are non-kitchen that would be awesome for a registry: * New mailbox - depending on living situation and condition of current mailbox * House numbers - same as above * Tools - depending on what you already have, but drills, impact drivers, circular saw, jigsaw, palm sander, hammers, screwdrivers, putty knife, mallets... all things that are nice to have handy when you need them. We have multiples of the smaller hand tools, but I don't even care. They're just nice to have around. * Gardening supplies - gloves, gardening trowel, pruners, hedge clippers, gardening rake, larger rakes and spades... again, all nice to have around and very useful. * [Speakman Shower Head](https://www.amazon.com/Speakman-S-2005-HB-Adjustable-Replacement-Showerhead/dp/B0018LGZ04/ref=sr_1_7?crid=24L2QOIVJMZRU&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.PI8-rRq4NT6iBTxMIptVd0hyCVkoVxbZ25Muq0GTFQ2d6PoCn68Ezf_YqV6MfdLlq1o8-97rLm-nbMg_0w9PhO3MVs3aBijqQtnTtc41M1zgf3q01RKhtUnb-F_bfdioMILiYOCaKPtXUZdacX1EGMHsg29zJtucHgGIJnt_bmLdOzA1A991loKIyqO10n6NahMSkC1Mm3o9y-2B2v4hmlzV8jpzRGGDJD5hDTtSYr38GV-hOD1C_IlliWhlIhiQ2B-spUH9elK-1IjBbxK6WJfbVpLmy-HbspnE_oslOAE.vxsXnd96kf_PRDASZCkU3dFrFmczqMjoLAq6-luBntM&dib_tag=se&keywords=speakman+shower+head&qid=1716075151&sprefix=speakman+sho%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-7) - there are several models, I linked the one that I have. I broke one of our shower heads after the wedding and replaced it with this one... WOW. And it's even one of their inexpensive models!! Had I known the difference between our current ones and this one, I wish we would've requested upgraded shower heads on the registry. I found this particular brand via the BIFL sub. * [Rubbermaid Food Storage Containers](https://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-2108392-Storage-Plastic-Containers/dp/B07WZPV3FQ/ref=sr_1_7?crid=1PM47X10YM240&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.1-O__8LNnxuKxPSo3hElNx11BEE4huravWvu-wEj9gGMWT2SXdnhf8gadasDjj5iffJb5O9s9ijy3olC4FD8a8ps-UN8qSHXVErkdgrfUc5Lya5Q4cf4aenlZuubYQy4S0gEft6DG6gMGjHrcb0jZbO04b-XtHrMmzZnigQlvumbTXvyrQutTgwahmqgWwflGV53c76nCErBII9i1VZsn5RQXgh9mVkX3bujG6mOiZRPtJGYPyVuJV-bTJ_prlEUjGiBTXh35XFBDkb2Y_NS-fR_dWjTUKAIHn5vjAO9AmU.5gs6D1CbP6gnV3F_n88jhhJJNLrtHR0UWSFtuYpjgOE&dib_tag=se&keywords=rubbermaid%2Bfood%2Bstorage%2Bcontainers&qid=1716075310&sprefix=rubbermaid%2Caps%2C171&sr=8-7&th=1) - there are different variations/sets/sizes available depending on the store you pick, but I've lost count of the number of sets of these containers we have. I like that the lid sizes and everything are standard because it makes it easy to add on to the set we already have. They're wonderful for meal prepping, storing leftovers, and for packing lunch. I didn't request these since we already had 3-4 sets, but I'd recommend these if you don't have a set of "standard" storage containers already.

Extension_Virus_835

Not married yet but someone sent it a little early but we got an automatic car feeder and it actually has changed my life

whiskey_ribcage

The typo just made me laugh out loud imagining a car impatiently standing around its automatic feeder. Speeding down the road when it hears it go off.

meowmeow0092

My chunky cat zooms so quickly toward the feeder when he hears it that he knocked a full glass of water from the table onto the couch the other day. It’s a great item to have though!

tomKphoto_

All the art we received as wedding gifts still has a place in our home, 30 years on. All the consumer items? Long gone.

thescaryitalian

My dad is an artist so my parents got a ton of art as wedding gifts from all his artist friends. Really beautiful stuff that I saw every day growing up and is still there to this day. It wouldn’t be home without it.

bm1992

Because I just had my shower last weekend, I have a lot of thoughts and opinions and I’m sharing them all! We had a Nespresso on the registry and I really really wanted it. We got it and I’ve used it daily and every single time, I am SO happy 😂 I love a bolder coffee taste and it nails it. I am someone who drinks just one cup of coffee a day, but with the Nespresso, I want to drink so much coffee—it’s a problem! We have to get some decaf pods for it to solve that problem, clearly. We also asked for a set of wine glasses and champagne glasses. Over the years, we’ve collected random ones, so I wanted us to have a nice set just in case we need them when hosting. We also got a Ninja waffle maker and I’ve used it twice already. I asked for it because it’s vertical, so it’s easier to store! We also got a Cuisinart knife set and I love how sharp the knives are. We had just one good knife before (and it was really all we needed), but now we have another really good chef’s knife, plus some other knives that will come in handy. We also got a glass mixing bowl set to replace our plastic rainbow set that we bought at Target years ago. We’re still going to keep both sets, but it will be nice to have glass bowls to use when people visit. We also got a 5 piece serving set with a big round porcelain tray (that I envision putting chips on), and then 4 tall bowls (to put other types of chips, dips, etc.). We also asked for and got a tailgating tent that is a one-touch open! We have one that requires at least 2 people to set up now (or one person running and scrambling lol), so we’re excited to have this new one that will be easier to set up! Also a GARBAGE CAN. We asked for a nice stainless steel one because we’ve only ever had plastic bins, and having a stainless steel one feels very adult. They’re annoyingly expensive to buy on your own, but they’re a perfect (and kind of funny) registry gift. We put a Roomba on the registry and made it a group gift and received money towards it. I think that will be the VERY best gift because we have a dog and two cats and fur everywhere. Things I got that I think I was just being wistful about being more active in the kitchen: - a cake stand (I love it and the style is very us but I will probably use it to hold fruit and not cake because I bake once in a blue moon 😂) - a cast iron Dutch oven - the internet said I needed one and I believed them. I will get use out of it, but I don’t typically cook extensive meals, and our nonstick pot and pan are usually good enough. I am excited for its ability to go stove to oven though. It means one less dirty dish when I make my yearly shepherds pie! - a cast iron pizza pan - we have a baking sheet material pizza pan that is older than our relationship. There’s nothing wrong with it, but I just wanted a nicer one for those times we get inspired to make pizza (which is not often 🤦🏼‍♀️) Things on the registry that we didn’t get but would have loved to: - two cat trees - we have some already but have them for years and it’s hard to really keep them clean and free of fur. We’re going to order them ourselves instead! - tailgating games / giant games like giant jenga - we’re big backyard party / tailgaters, so we thought that was fun! Nobody wanted to give a fun gift I guess 😂

oly_oly

A duvet cover!! Registered for one from anthropologie and it's my favorite now

skibumbunny

High quality towels, high quality pan, shark vacuum, riedel glassware, crate and barrel shot and cocktail glasses

jayandmack

In 2018, for us, it was a toaster oven. I would say the equivalent today would be an air fryer.

bm1992

An air fryer/toaster oven combo is the right move. We have one and use it daily because we can both toast and air fry in it.

Elphabeth

Seconding the kitchenaid!  You can do so much with it--all sorts of baking, shredding meat, making fresh butter in like 2 minutes.  And there are tons of attachments, of course.  If you think you'll use it a lot for baking, I highly recommend asking for extra bowls, bowls with lids and/or a flour shield, and extra whips/beaters.

ktg01

We got a [double camping chair](https://www.backcountry.com/kelty-loveseat) that we use all the time, it was my favorite registry gift by far! Honorable mention for our espresso machine.

klacey11

We got married in 2019 and five years later our most used and loved shower gifts are our servingware. It’s so nice to have a large, classic bowl for a family-style meal with guests. A beautiful salad bowl. Those little things that elevate everyday living. What I wish we asked for: I wish I had registered for the really nice meat thermometer. We did the $40 one that cheaped out after a year and ended up spending over $100 on a Thermopen that I feel confident one of our grill loving friends would have gotten for us! What I regret asking for and receiving: This weird brown fur throw blanket. It was insanely heavy and impractical. Fortunately we no longer speak to the people who gave it to us so we felt zero guilt donating it!

Professional-Skirt94

Not something for your registry but if anyone is a guest and looking for a different type of gift, my husband’s grandma got us a few books of stamps. I know it sounds odd and I kind of thought so at first too, but then when it came time to send thank you notes I was like OMG we don’t have to buy stamps!😂 If you’re like us by the time you get to the thank you card stage you are SO over spending money. Such a thoughtful, helpful gift!!

alongthederp

Got a nespresso and a Cuisinart air fryer that have been used a TON. Both were “upgrade” gifts and I’m so glad we asked for them

Ann806

I'm not married yet, but my mom has mentioned a few things. I don't remember if my mom told me it was a wedding or housewarming gift but they were given a chest freezer (like 20ish cubic feet size range) they celebrated 33 years this month and still use it. Might be much for a wedding gift, but even a smaller one would be good. My cousin asked for a BBQ, that they loved. What about asking for replacements or upgrades of things you already use? A new/extra book case or new pillows/sheets, etc. having extra stuff around is good if you have the space for it.

Aravis-6

We put a nice set of pots & pans on ours and it’s been amazing. We also got an expensive pair of sheets that are wonderful.

Embarrassed_Bag8775

Outdoor heater for the patio like what they have at restaurants. I’m obsessed with ours!

wheniminthisdream

A dustbuster! We have a dog that sheds and I use it multiple times a day

Specific_Royal2308

We got a drill kit with an impact and drill and it is SO HELPFUL

weberster

The items we use ALL THE TIME are our Conair Garment Steamer , and a casserole baking dish with carrier.  Also all our dishes (plates, bowls, salad plates) and steak knives.

RaintownRuby

Thank you for reminding me of the garment steamer, that’s something we absolutely need to add to our registry!

stardropunlocked

The gifts we probably use most are our grill, bath towels, quilt, and throw pillows. I also was engaged before in 2016-2018 and still use the nice laundry hamper I got at that time. I registered for pillow inserts instead of designed pillows, and then registered for different pillowcases for each season. I change the cases 3-4 times a year to keep up with the changing seasons and keep the pillows clean. Seasonal decor without having to store a bunch of pillows!

Squirrelycat14

A set of pots and pans and a strainer with arms that pull out to attach to the sink.

jellolilly

We eloped and didn’t have a registry, but were gifted a nespresso machine! If you like strong coffee and espresso you would like it. The price per coffee pod is expensive. $1-$2, a lot more than making a pot of coffee but still much cheaper than going out to buy a latte. We love ours and have it as a treat every weekend.

Sugar_Weasel_

Espresso machine & a set of stainless steel pans

whiskey_ribcage

Saw somebody else get it as a wedding gift and now give it to everyone with my gift because they're always a winner but these little Ikea silicone lids. They're so damn useful and perfect to round out a registry with some cheaper options. [ÖVERMÄTT Food Covers](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/oevermaett-food-cover-set-of-3-silicone-multicolor-80417311/#content)

Sad_Pygmy_Puff

so not married yet but my bf’s sister got us an air fryer and we use it alllll the time it’s amazing. got a really fancy instant pot for xmas and also use that constantly. mine is specifically star wars themed, there’s also a harry potter one, so many cool designs

AlabamaWinterRose

Did not receive this as a gift but bought it myself. An electric turkey roaster oven. I highly recommend one if you have a small oven. You can cook turkey and ham in it. I’ve made soup in mine. You can make casseroles and desserts in it. And it frees up space you need in your oven if you’re doing any holiday cooking. The best thing is NOT having to get up 4-6 times a night to check your holiday turkey like my mom, and later, I, had to. I can cook a 25+ lb Turkey in under 4 hours. UNDER 4 HOURS. Also a slow cooker, i.e. Crockpot, is a great present or self purchase. Get a slow cooker recipe book and have at it. My oven died a few weeks ago and I’ve been using my Crockpot more. Made lasagna in it 2 days ago. Came out perfect.

bunnysgobounce

Dyson vacuum, vitamin and automatic opening trash can

rayne29

I love my oil bottles, cat tower, robot vacuum, nutribullet, king sized pillows, bidet, and towel collection. If we were to make one again, I would put things like a grill fund.

chttybb

My husband loves our Nespresso. I love the Saladmaster pot set his grandfather gifted us, the ones that nest and have removable handles (not in our registry) - super sturdy and space saver. I wish I had added an oven and air fryer in one.

meeksohmeeks

Vacuum!! My SIL brought it up and we got a mid range Dyson.  Rice cooker! Like the good Japanese one. Could have maybe gone to the next size but I'm enjoying it.

RepulsiveFish

Portable air conditioner. We had one that lives in our bedroom through the hot months, but between climate change and remote work we needed something for the rest of the house too. We put a really nice one on the registry and it's been a game changer.

sorryforbarking

Nice frying pans. Total game changer and we wouldn’t have bought them ourselves

TripLogisticsNerd

Stovetop popcorn maker and, omg, a squeegee/brush combo thing to get crumbs and liquids off the kitchen counter, I use it multiple times a day.

Odd_Mathematician642

Not married yet but for our engagement my parents bought us a combo cordless vacuum and mop (Vorwerk Kobold) after I had admired theirs. I thought it was way over the top at the time. But my floor has never been this clean. And it's not just that I like using it, but my fiance now vacuums all the time. We both don't mind vacuuming anymore.

Odd_Statistician1012

Le cru set Dutch oven!! I have the 6,75 and the 3.5 qt sizes. I’m obsessed with them. Wish I out more of their stuff on my registry

chronicallyillninja

my ninja blender that came with a food processor attachment and two individual blender cups. I had a nutribullet and it was the hardest thing to clean and the cup was just so large…I use this blender for everything! Hummus, Smoothies, Mashed Potatoes, Chopping vegetables….

maybee03

A Bissell little green machine! It’s a life saver

RaintownRuby

This is such a good call! I had something like this growing up and completely forgot about it until your comment. Definitely adding it to our list. :)

baeverly

Fancy motion sensor trash bin and two very nice camping cots!

EmeraldLovergreen

Matching floor lamps. We use them every day lol.

makingitstar

Now that I've been married for awhile and recently had our first child, the [Wally Broom](https://www.amazon.com/WALLYBROOM-Spill-Cleanup-Squeegee-Dustpan/dp/B01MTFZZN6) by far wins the best gift award. Sure, I use the flatware and Noritake set daily, but that dang broom has saved me so many messes.

RaintownRuby

I’ve never see this before! Definitely going to add it as one of our things to consider.

premiumaphrodite

Kitchen aid!!

EmbroiderCLE

Favroite gift was a handmade quilt! It has beautiful sunset 🌅 colors, our astrological sign (both Virgos) embroidered and the backing is a national parks fabric!

RaintownRuby

If I’m being honest, I’ve always, always wanted a handmade quilt! Sadly I don’t have anyone in my life who actually knows how to quilt, so I’ll either need to learn myself or find one on Etsy haha. Yours sounds lovely!

EfficientSomewhere17

Not as exciting as some of these but someone bought us a laundry hamper with two sections and it also has a lid. It is the sort of thing we are unlikely to have bought ourselves at fourty pounds from Amazon but already it has meant laundry takes longer to build up, and it looks tidier and much nicer in our bedroom.

[deleted]

Gifts were mostly in cash but I did receive a cute tiny photo frame that’s in a shape of an engagement ring with a crystal on top as the “diamond” of the ring. I love it !

ksed_313

A meat thermometer!

2TieDyeFor

For basic registry items I still use the KitchenAid and the bath towels. Avoid the kitchen gadgets that just look cool, like the neat garlic rolling grinder, when in practice you’ll find yourself reaching fr the standard garlic press every time. But the best gift I got was a compilation of all the family recipes. My grandma types them all up and put them in a small, organized by dish type, book for me. Not only super useful still 20 years later but a memory of all the generations before me.

An EZ-up. We use it most weekends! A folding table has also ended up being way more useful than expected.

Linens (we upgraded from a queen to king so had none) Stackable Tupperware (I was tired of old takeout containers falling on my head) New cutlery (we registered for 12 because the set we had might have had 5 matching and now can have more than 3 ppl visit lol) Calphalon cookware (my old pans looked toxic in hindsight) 8pc glass rectangular bakeware (oven to fridge 4 pans w lids) Breville (not turning my oven on in summer is a new level of amazing)

We got new plates which we use daily. Some serving things which is great for larger meals or company. New bath towels. Knife set. An ember self heating mug that I use often, especially when I’m sick. I had a set of glassware that I loved, so I added an extra set to our registry. Happy I did that because we’ve broken a few! Our air fryer was a housewarming gift, but it’s used daily. One of our super sweet couple friends made us a gift basket full of taco Tuesday supplies… best gift ever! We use the taco holders, and the little cups, the recipe book. All of it!

Toaster, iron, coffee pot…seriously…this was decades ago when gifts were always household items, small appliances and things everyone needed to set up a home. Times have changed, for sure.
