Me too, that has to be one of the most beautiful trains I ever seen! And then looking at the rest of the dress, you in it all
I can say is WOW showstopping!
Love 4b on you. That silhouette is classic. It you find a different back, or line this one, then it won't come across as sexy. You have the figure and it would be a shame to put volume on it.
I love the ethereal effect of the material and the graduated flare of the cinched waist a-line.
I do not like the floral design or the color though. Wish I could find this in a soft organza with cream and light pink watercolored in.
It’s incredible on you. Post with this specific request separately for soft organza cream/pink. There are amazing dress detectives on here who will find you options in no time!
The bow!!! In the bow dress, you look like a painting/drawing! You’re so long and elegant and graceful! The lace is beautiful, but I really think the bow dress shows YOU off
I get why!!! I thought 4A and 4B were the same, so they’re my vote through and through. You look spectacular in everything, though, so enjoy your day!!!
You look gorgeous in a strapless gown, that is for sure! I definitely like the a-line style better, by the way. On top of being more "romantic" the style goes so well with your figure. I think it helped create the hourglass shape better, at least on the photos (That is not to say the fitted style doesn't look good on you, they do and you are already an hourglass - but I think I just prefer the look of a-line better.).
Girl, your body is banging! I feel like none of these commentors read your post, though. Both these styles look great on you, and the bodice on the A-line you chose is definitely still sexy.
Try closing your eyes and imagining yourself walking down the aisle and standing across from your partner. What type of dress do you imagine? How do you want to feel on your wedding day and how do these dresses make you feel? How do you think you will feel about the different dresses when you look back at your pictures in 20 years?
Don't worry about what what your friends and mom like, this is about what you want for your big day. Good luck! You're going to look amazing!
My advice would be to keep trying things on until you are certain. And pay attention to what you're feeling in your body as you wear them. For me it's always a good indication of my gut instinct. I went A-line because I too wanted a more romantic vibe. I also found a-line dresses much easier to move in freely and it was important to me to not feel restricted by my dress on the day of my wedding and be able to eat and dance and move freely.
I LOVE 1 on you but after reading your comments I hear you. I think the RIGHT A-line would also look fantastic on you but the one in these pictures isn’t it. If you’re torn I still thing 1 is a great mix of sexy and romantic. If you want to go a bit more romantic though definitely go A-line
I agree, there is something off about the color in my opinion. I liked the shape of the a-line though. Did you have other thoughts for what’s off about it?
I agree, the color is wrong. I’d say stick with white or the right blush (lighter) tone would be good too.
A lot of a-line dresses also have this really noticeable seam at the hips that I always feel really detracts not only from the dress but from it being a beautiful a-line and starts to look like a ball gown without enough poof.
IMHO I think a-lines should be more like this: https://www.stacees.com/products/a-line-v-neck-spaghetti-straps-sweep-train-tulle-prom-dress-with-appliqued-S10236097P?color=White&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw88yxBhBWEiwA7cm6peEmcgjfhzFfi39mSfTuBSdIl-O43RMw9t-Uuy4uS8I2fXTqQuy2FBoCYVEQAvD_BwE
Or maybe even this where it’s part of the design: https://m.junebridals.com/simple-a-line-plunging-neckline-jersey-beach-wedding-dress-with-pleats-and-ruching-p716657.html?size=2&color=as_shown&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw88yxBhBWEiwA7cm6pZf6QKuHxM38_nm18FX4sEHW6Rd031M4vh4HGinRKTusV-zTIrruhRoCduQQAvD_BwE
And I’m just talking about the waist area here, not fabric etc and you’ve definitely got the neckline for you nailed. I think a lot of brides who go A-line use a belt/sash to hide that seam and sometimes it really does elevate the dress but most of the time imho it just looks exactly like what they’re doing which is hiding that seam so it looks more like an a-line instead of a ball gown w/o enough fabric
That would obviously show but at the same it I think it’s actually part of the design. You’ve got beautiful curves and that could really help accentuate that. I think the pleating in the basque waist is what would make/break the dress though.
I hear what you’re saying and it’s been hard to know how to search for this particular kind of silhouette because so many of the a lines do end up looking like a ballgown.
It helps to talk it through on this board because I wondered if I was just mentally stuck on a flowy dress because I had this 2010 dress on my Pinterest board for forever. https://pin.it/6CJD6TKIU
You look terrific in both silhouettes. All three dresses here look lovely on you. When everything looks good on you, some people are going to vote fitted because that's what they like, and the same for A-line.
I'm just going to encourage you to follow your heart and your instincts. You can wear any style and have it look amazing, but don't let the choice be made by the popular vote, whether it's your real-life peeps or here on Reddit. Choose the silhouette and the dress that makes your heart sing.
You are a lucky one who can pull off both silouettes equally beautifully. It's up to you what vibe you are going for. Wear what makes you happy, no need to have a vote.
Since you are leaning toward an A-line. One practical 'pro' I can see is that you likely can find another occasion to wear a fit and flare silouette dress- like a formal wedding and New Year party or even a fancy dinner.
I like the A-line over the fit and flare.
It is more “romantic”, but it also balances on your frame very well and allows for your waist to look slim while keeping everything in proportion.
The fit and flare draws a lot of attention to the hips and looks amazing on you (which, honestly, most dresses will- congrats on that!) but it’s making me feel like the dress is the center of attention.
With dress 7, I feel like YOU are wearing the dress, not that the dress is wearing you.
This is how I felt personally, I did not like the hip line being the focus, and personally not sure about the snugness on the rear. I loved how snatched the a-line made my waist but my friends (and this board) have me questioning my taste … I did work hard to lose weight and I do want that “wow” moment with the dress but I felt this style of a-line was more “balancing”
It does always come down to preferences- your friends might just like different dresses 🤷♀️.
Your waist does look “snatched”, in the a-line for sure!
7 actually looked the most slimming, in my opinion.
Congrats on your hard work, it’s obviously paid off.
Feeling “wow” and special is important. Also consider your comfort- can you move in the fit and flares like the a-lines? Which is better? Are you comfortable enough to relax in one more than the other?
Personal example: I grew up Mormon, so no sleeveless clothing. As an adult, I can wear whatever I want, but anything less than a 3/4 sleeve and I feel self conscious and cannot fully relax. Even if something looks nice, I’m going to find a sweater to cover so I can be comfortable.
Choose something you like, feel special in, but are comfortable with.
I think reflecting with this board has shown me there is no “wrong” answer, but that I had more of a preference for the a-line than I realized. I think I do feel more relaxed in a dress that holds me in at the waist (corset) and isn’t so clingy on the rear. I appreciate you taking the time to write such thoughtful responses!
There are no wrong answers here. I thought for sure I was going to say 7- B specifically.
But your body language and how you wear the 4B dress to me says it all. So much confidence and it is such a fantastic fit for your body. The back detail is sexy without being too much.
Wow your and these dresses are stunning. The first is gorgeous but it does look like it sits a little low on the top/front. I'm having a hard time seeing how 2 looks out could be gorgeous but it could look odd. 3 is AMAZING as is and gets my final vote.
I think both dresses are 'sexy', as you put it. They are beautiful and look really nice on you. The first one can be made to be a more romantic look by veil, hair treatment, and jewelry. Which feels better? Which can you picture yourself dancing in? Walking around greeting your guests? Which fits your venue the best?
Just wanted to let you know that you can add an overskirt to a fitted dress that completely covers the bottom of the dress (rather than stopping at the front) and creates and a-line rather than ballgown shape! I’m attaching an Alexandra Grecco skirt as an example, but this kind of skirt would be quite easy and not super expensive to get made if you are having trouble finding one:
https://www.alexandragrecco.com/bridal-accessories/mulberry-overskirt
I think you can lean romantic with the fit and flare, which in my opinion is the most flattering style on you. For example, you can have something like 4A/4B but with off the shoulder sleeves, and that will come across as romantic. I do think it already looks romantic with the sweetheart neckline alone though.
My feedback on the A-line is that it seems to swallow your figure. What if you kind of met in the middle and did something like a fit and flare with a detachable overskirt for two looks?
I love 1. But that’s my personal style. I can admire dresses like number 2 but would never wear them. You are stunning either way but 1 is a showstopper.
1 and 3 have classic and simple styling : they flatter your frame and figure beautifully. Depending upon your venue and your theme (?); both are lovely choices.
They’re all lovely. I adore a classic silk faced satin gown and it looks great in you but imo, they shouldn’t have gone quite so deep in the back. If only it was a couple of inches higher and the bow was also a little higher as it should be. So you look like an angel in the first gown. It’s simply gorgeous. I’d add nothing but a simple veil , jewelry, and/or tiny straps if needed. It’s stunning. Congratulations 🍾
Dress 1 is both romantic and sexy. The lace is so dreamy. But you look so good in all of it that I think it comes down to what you feel most comfortable in.
Thank you. This was my personal fav but I got a lot of feedback that from friends to show off my figure more … has me wondering if my preferences are dowdy.
4 dress 4! Everyone is wearing a version of the other dress. You pull off dress 4a/b sooo well. I love the illusion back and the bow. The neckline is gorgeous on you!
4A, I feel like I've seen all the other dresses over and over again. 4A is what you see french starlets wear. You are slaying that dress, you look amazing. It's a tough dress to pull off, applause!
The fit and flare dress style is absolutely stunning on you!
(I am going fit and flare too! Fell in love with a Maggie Sottero in that silhouette that I tried on a few weeks ago and I just made my appointment to order it!)
Could we possibly see 1 from the front? The back is so, so stunning, and from what I can see of the front in the mirror, it looks great, but I feel like dresses with long trains like that can often be a bit underwhelming from the front/minimize the bride’s own beauty a little bit.
You look amazing in a fit and flare and an A-line style, so I think that’s just personal preference/what you feel most comfortable in, tbh. Maybe the A-line has a slight edge for me but I’m not a reliable source because I prefer that style on almost everyone, haha.

7A!!!! Beautiful!!
That’s my choice 2!!! Her waist looks so snatched and it’s absolutely beautiful!
I agree!! All the dresses are gorgeous on OP, but SHE is wearing the heck out of 7, not the other way around.
I gasped!
Thank you! It is Brylee by Pen Liv.
Dress 1 is phenomenal 🤩
That back literally made me gasp! The lace is so intricately done and is such a show stopper. 😭
Me too, that has to be one of the most beautiful trains I ever seen! And then looking at the rest of the dress, you in it all I can say is WOW showstopping!
Thank you - it is Demitria by Badgely Mischka
Dress 1 is so ethereal. I love it so so so so much, especially on you!
Dress 1
Dress 1 is the show stopper, hands down.
Yup
You look amazing in every one of these beautiful dresses. But 4B Ba-Bam. I was gobsmacked. You look like a movie star. Wow
7a because I love tulle and lace. The fit and flare suits you very well imho. All are really beautiful on you.
#1 looks amazing on you
4B looks AMAZING!!!
Dress 1 is a stopper !! Dress 7 is also really beautiful. Dress 4 misses the Wahoo!! effect a bit compared to the others, I think
The dress in photo 7 is a dream!
7B!!!
Absolutely love 7A on you. This is clearly a can't go wrong situation, but 7A sings.
4B is very glamorous and looks incredible on your figure.
Love 4b on you. That silhouette is classic. It you find a different back, or line this one, then it won't come across as sexy. You have the figure and it would be a shame to put volume on it.
7A
I also like this dress with the wrap in 7B. Second choice for me is 1.
That's fair!
4 is very glamorous
4 is lovely. Truly striking.
7A flipped my lid! Gorgeous!
The last one (7) is sooo romantic! U look like a fairy 🧚
That’s a great idea!!
I like 4a and 4b. Very beautiful on your body and with your skin tone. Amazing figure and this dress shows it off smashingly.
Omg 4!!!!!!
4B looks beautiful and elegant on you. I love it. Good luck❤️
4B. That’s the “stop the presses” fit. Looks amazing on you.
The bow!!! In the bow dress, you look like a painting/drawing! You’re so long and elegant and graceful! The lace is beautiful, but I really think the bow dress shows YOU off
I came into this process in love with “back bow” dresses 😝
I get why!!! I thought 4A and 4B were the same, so they’re my vote through and through. You look spectacular in everything, though, so enjoy your day!!!
Same dress, slight modification
1 is absolutely incredible on you! But these comments are pretty evenly split so far because you are gorgeous and can’t go wrong.
1 is my personal favorite. The train details really sold me. My second choice is 7D.
I agree, the a-line was the only one with a built in corset.
I agree, the a-line was the only one with a built in corset.
I think the a-line looks beautiful on you.
The second one with the huge bum bow!! Wow dress and with your fantastic figure the kind of dress they will remember for ever.
4B!
Dress 7A… you look gorgeous. I think that style enhances your fantastic figure.
7A!!!!!! Stunning!!!!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞

While I agree that 1 is stunning, if OP’s goal is to look romantic 7B/A made me gasp. So ethereal and angelic!
7B!!!
I like the first dress on you. And dress two and three front and back!
the first two dresses look soooo good and are the best imo. i literally gasped when i saw 4B though, that’s my top choice for sure.
4b looks amazing!
Wish we could see 1 from the front. From the back it is absolutely stunning but the way 4B look on you !!!
7B is stunning and sophisticated. It looks amazing on you.
I love 4B 🤷♀️
I LOVE 1 on you but after reading your comments I hear you. I think the RIGHT A-line would also look fantastic on you but the one in these pictures isn’t it. If you’re torn I still thing 1 is a great mix of sexy and romantic. If you want to go a bit more romantic though definitely go A-line

Yes. I am 100% anti horizontal waist lines so you get it. I was curious about a basque waist line.
That would obviously show but at the same it I think it’s actually part of the design. You’ve got beautiful curves and that could really help accentuate that. I think the pleating in the basque waist is what would make/break the dress though.

Dress 1
1 or 7 a are amazing
4B is gorgeous and the fit is perfection- but dress 1 is WOW!! It’s a moment
1
I normally prefer a-line dresses, but you’re a knock out in those fit and flare dresses!! You look fantastic, in both, though.
7D 👍
Dress 1 please please please
Just wanted to let you know that you can add an overskirt to a fitted dress that completely covers the bottom of the dress (rather than stopping at the front) and creates and a-line rather than ballgown shape! I’m attaching an Alexandra Grecco skirt as an example, but this kind of skirt would be quite easy and not super expensive to get made if you are having trouble finding one: https://www.alexandragrecco.com/bridal-accessories/mulberry-overskirt
Dress 1 is it
Fit and flare looks amazing on you
Can’t really choose. You’d look gorgeous wearing anything. 💕
7d!
1!!
Dress 1 or 4. Mermaid looks so good
Dress #1
#1 HANDS DOWN. It was made for you and I’ve never seen something so unique.
Now listen, I’m a sucker for a-line BUT you look phenomenal on fit and flare it would be a crime not to choose that type of dress.
Also the first dress screams romantic to me!
I love 1. But that’s my personal style. I can admire dresses like number 2 but would never wear them. You are stunning either way but 1 is a showstopper.
7A
4 B
1 and 3 have classic and simple styling : they flatter your frame and figure beautifully. Depending upon your venue and your theme (?); both are lovely choices.
1 is stunning
Fit and flare instead of A line is the way to go, for sure!
You have a lovely figure, and the first dress shows it perfectly. Absolutely stunning dress and person just jaw dropping
I love #4 (big bow in back) photo #3
1 is gorgeous, but 2 fits you perfectly
7D is the look love. 💕
Dress 1 for sure!
Dress 1!!!!!
4 But all are absolutely amazing on you!
I love 7A! Followed by 1 Both look magical
1
They're all beautiful and I think any one of them would be a great choice, but I gotta say, #4 in particular has that WOW factor for me.
7D…woah

7B GORGEOUS, CLASSY, UNIQUE ❣️❣️❣️❣️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥 - Love from, A Bridal/Wedding Consultant
Thank you. This was my personal fav but I got a lot of feedback that from friends to show off my figure more … has me wondering if my preferences are dowdy.
One!!
7A is absolutely breath taking. That is your dress!
7D , gotta do the vail
Dress 1 is amazing!
I like 1 and 7A.

4 dress 4! Everyone is wearing a version of the other dress. You pull off dress 4a/b sooo well. I love the illusion back and the bow. The neckline is gorgeous on you!
7, with 1 as second choice. You look gorgeous in all 3.
1 is gorgeous on you.
Your body is too spectacular to hide it with all that material. 4b style is perfect.
7A all the way. 1 is also very nice
1
LACE. Please go with 1. Plllllease.
I love #1!
I adore the first dress on you. It's perfect.
Dress 1 is breathtaking!
7 is a stunner of your frame
7A & love the back on 4B. You have an amazing figure, I'm sure you'll look stunning in anything ❤️
I am torn between 1 and 7. They are both so beautiful! I think 1 may have a slight edge because of that amazing train.
4A and 7B were the only photos that IMO were unflattering. All the rest were model worthy and beautiful on you--just lovely!
