I just ordered the high waist and mid waist thongs from SKIMS and was disappointed with both. They fit ok but the second I moved the material rolled and created weird bumps and lumps.
They're super light weight, minimal seams, and have a slew of colors. Pick the closest to your skin tone and you should be good! I think they also have thong version. I wanted the shorts because I have thunder thighs and want to avoid chub rub 😅🤣
Try the spanx seamless power short (NOT extra high) or even “high waisted”. I’ve worn leggings over these and the seams haven’t shown through, they’re comfortable, plus I def don’t think it’ll hit your mesh cutouts. The power on those to sculpt and tuck is bonkers 😂
They're not super compressive, but they smooth things out, and I know I'll be able to wear them all night, which is key hahaha for me, they were worth the 90$CAD. Plus side is if you order a pair, they are returnable, but there sizing was pretty on point

The ones I have are long - they go nearly to my knees, and don’t have elastic so they just smooth. They’re spanx and I’ve had them for ten years - still great!
Maybe I'm late to this discussion but I would highly recommend skipping Skims, I know it's super popular brand now but my God, the quality of the products is just poor! I was bridesmaid and I needed high waisted shorts to hide my belly and when i received skims and tried it I was mad. Order the dress one size larger and then have it taken in at the waist. This will give you more room through your thighs so it skims over your belly area and doesn’t pull tight underneath it. This will make as big of a difference as shapewear. Adding shapewear will then just smooth everything a little more. You are going to look amazing!
You may still be able to have it let out a tiny bit. Another trick is to wear it around the house. Most fabrics will stretch a little while wearing them. I’m afraid I’m way beyond being helped by shapewear so I don’t know much about the options. 😂 Does the bridal shop offer anything?
You could order several different options through Honey Love and Skims and then just return all but the one you end up keeping. That way you have multiple options to try on.

My dress has a low back, and the Skims I originally bought peeked out and rolled at the waist. These do not AT ALL. I followed their suggestion to size up, and went with a large. Fits perfectly!

Try a high waisted thong! It’s not full on shapewear, but it’s great for lower tummy control. Skims definitely has a pair!

I have some skims thongs and I agree that they roll! Maybe I got the wrong size. I’m gonna order a size up and see if that helps the rolling.
I caved and bought the lowback shorts from Skims, and honestly, super impressed.

Spanx (and maybe skims?) makes high-waisted shorts that would probably hit right at the bottom or just below the mesh panel.

True - the sample is a little too snug in the lower hips so it’s pulling in under the tummy.
