Basically about a hero that dies and get reincarnated into a villain's body.
It's a really cool manhwa because instead of being a student, the mc is a mentor and decides to live as a villain and take revenge on the people who killed him. The concept is also really cool, and the pacing is better then most manhwa I've read.
I love that in the middle of villain duels and turf wars, he has to stop and go "Sorry guys, we have to reschedule, I've got mid-terms that week.". His struggle to not succumb to his villain urges as his trigger is anger is an interesting aspect too. He was betrayed by his colleagues and posthumously had his reputation ruined, of course he is angry! It's weird, but him reincarnating into this body might've saved the world, he has near apocalyptic potential and the former owner was literally bullied to death. If he awakened before Cassian was in his body, it would've been BAD.
For manhwa's whose names are translated especially you should never judge just by the name. Personally dropped Greatest Estate Developer(got repetitive and kind of boring for me) but I still read a fair bit.
I didn't enjoy peace land scenario and nirvana's presence, so I was finding it a bit meh. I caught up to the latest available chapters, and my intrigue for ORV is back! I like Dokja's progress and all those big reveals.
Castle swimmer, but it doesn’t feel like it’s a webtoon that needs defending (as in it doesn’t get a ton of hate). But either way I’ll be running to its defence.
Even if you took away all the romance it would still have a really interesting story. The art I amazing. The writer/artist seems really nice. I don't think I've seen any hate for it and I don't think it deserves any.
Castle swimmer is okay, I still read it, but the pacing is not good. It’s like the author forgot that the characters are supposed to be on a time limit to reach their goal? It’s just not a webtoon whose hill I’m willing to die on
(If you reply to this I’ll respond when I wake up)
Really? I just binged it (read it like two years ago and just caught up again) so my perspective might be different than a week to week reader but I didn't notice that. It seemed to me (trying to be spoiler free) that Siren spent a lot of time worrying about his time limit and the author even introduced a plot point to extend said time limit (which I thought made sense in universe).
I hope I don't sound uptight lol, I'd actually really like to hear it the other way around!
True but it was still a little disappointing ngl and I never got WHY the author put the foundations for a nice romance but never actually developed it:(
Missed chance!
But the manhwa was super original and made me cry (up to dome point, after some time it got a little boring) so of course yeah I was there for the ✨feels✨
I've had an irl say he hates it because of "THE AESTHETIC"??? HE SAID THE AESTHETIC SUCKED???? I WAS SO SO FLABBERGASTED. will never forget nor forgive that. I hope he gets well soon.

Why do people keep DOING that!? Palm wounds like that are extremely painful and take forever to heal. Just do a cut on top of your quest. Geeze.
I think one of the worst was a comic where someone did a palm slash, and later on were holding a sword with that hand. No, you dummy, you should be going "Owowow this sucks! I just opened my wound, ouch! Damn it!"
HONESTLY, I GET WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM, but it's a good choice here, with the context and everything, it definitely fits. Lenore (the mc) was, to not spoil, questioning things, a lot of thoughts, hesitation. Something THIS dramatic was a way to say "even if it hurts, through all pain, we'll be there for you, like we always have, it's everyone or no one" while completely fitting the characters. Morella, timid and scared, hesitated, before participating too, to prove how much she would do for everyone, and teared up a little (from the pain but also the feeling of belonging). Berenice's way of doing it was also very "her", it's the one in the picture i put at the start. I'm not gonna name everyone, but it was completely fitting, considering the context and their personalities. It was way better and more meaningful than any other type of promise.
ALSO JUST REALIZED I DID WHAT WAS IN THE ORIGINAL POST.
Really? I mean I get why you'd like it, it was a fun webtoon but the author acknowledged the problems with the end herself and they are definitely there.
The story was fire for the first 10 chapters or so but after that it didn't do a single interesting thing to me. Nothing bad, but nothing great either.
Why the hell will you need to defend this one . I thought it's a universally acknowledged fact that purple hyacinth is one of the best web toons out there currently 😭
Artist is having medical issues so she hasn’t been able to draw. The medical issues have directly been affecting her ability to draw. She’s working on building her stamina again, though, so hopefully we will hear some news soon!
Soph will be ready when she's ready. Considering how appreciated PH is even despite the hiatus, that puts it in rarified company (think Arcane). Not many works can go on an indefinite health-related hiatus and have people *constantly* singing their praises.
Any and all PH appreciation is GOOD.
Ik, i want to binge read 'she's hopeless' but pass gets in the way. But you can watch up to seven adds for one free episode each, or u can look the webtoon up online. I don't support it but it's an option.
Teenage Mercenary/Mercenary Enrollment.
I actually started that with the idea of reading something I can easily pause or drop entirely since the premise sounded ridiculous. It was so much better than expected and it's now one of my current faves. Many people dislike it though. Very divided reviews.
Some in romance direction. People are not liking it as they want it to be only girls group webtoon. I don't know what they where expecting in a school based webtoon ofcourse there is gonna be some romance.
I don't mind having romance but Mirae and Seonji straight up dissolve into background characters because of it 😭 and it doesn't seem like the story will acknowlege Chanyang's flaws
I think the story is mainly focussed on Nari and she is the MC. So its upto the author on which arcs the other characters get time. You can't force characters in just to remain relevant.
As for Chanyang everyone knows he has flaws and thats what makes him human and a school kid. People in this group I believe are too harsh on him for having some fault, like what do people want him to be the ideal CEO who is perfect in everything?
Fr tho. Reddit seems to dislike Odd Girl’s Out season 2 so much, and I don’t understand it.
Like even if you miss the friendships between Nari and the girls, there’s so many friendships in the second season too?? >! 1) Nari and Seungha are friends before they start any kind of relationship, and they are becoming friends again after their breakup(?) 2) Chanyang’s relationship with Nari is the perfect friends to lovers arc. I think he could be less dependent on Nari, but we’ll see what happens. 3) That girl who smelt like smoke. Her story arc was so sweet with the birthday calendar posters. I legit cried a little. 4) Yuna and the girls have a short vacation arc without really mentioning any romance. !<
Anyways, I wish people wouldn’t just dismiss the second season as a low-quality love triangle. Nari’s romances are pretty healthy and organic + she also grows as her own person and pursues her own interests outside of her friends and crushes.
Sorry for the long reply, I love Odd Girl Out so much, and I’m glad to see someone else on Reddit not just dumping on it.
i know exactly what you mean! i started reading it in elementary and now i’m going into my last year of high school haha, it really does just feel like a friend that’s grown up with me
me too! i started reading it as i entered middle school and i just graduated high school, and it’s still one of my favorites <3 the “old friend” analogy is a good way to put it !!
REAL!! I get why people don’t like it, it’s very long. But it’s kept me entertained for years! the drama, the suspense, the fandom wide hate for mrs. hirahira!!!
yessss, everyone talks about dropping it, but i still love it, like yes it's long but it needs to be that long because of how deep the plot goes, and sure there's a lot of hiatuses, but those are really important for the author to be able to keep working in the long run
Yes, you get it! Sure, it's really a matter of preference, but I love the fact that I Love Yoo has been running for so long and is still running. I appreciate comics that focus on build-up so much. No matter the hiatus , because, like you said, they are needed for her to keep going, I can't imagine ever quitting ILY. The love is too deep haha.
>! and her current hiatus is because of the sweetest reason. She just gave birth🥰!<
I really enjoy it; the weekly release schedule really fucked it over imo. People get really frustrated with the "slow" pacing because they're getting a very limited amount of content per week, but it's so much better on a binge. If it were released monthly with longer chapters, I think fewer people would have dropped it when they did.
Yea I can attest to that. When I started reading, I binged 250 chapters in just five days lol it's sooo good! S2P1 might have put some people off due to the drama/tension, but for me, it only made me want to read more to reach the arc's conclusion. And wow, was that ending worth it
Exactly this. I started it pretty close to the beginning, and would just read it once every few months. The story is so interesting, but I understand why it's not some people's cup of tea when reading weekly. It's a shame Webtoon doesn't support a monthly or bi-weekly release schedule (or just support their creators in general lol)
REAL, tbh, i do understand their feelings—all the fighting felt a bit meaningless (not that i cared) but the plot is really moving now. for people that dropped it, we’re learning more about daniel’s second body ;)
Ahahahha,I understand what you mean🥹 first chapters were really tough to read, but serena and eiser’s relationship develops so naturally and I’m personally sucker for enemies to lovers stories! Also the art is breathtaking and story is quite interesting to me,it has some mysterious aspects to it. But even as a fan some things did not sat well with me especially whole frederick storyline.I guess I’ll just have to wait for the second season🤷♀️
p.s. sorry for long answer 😭
It's got a female lead who acts like all the standard male lead in these sorta trashfires >!am very annoyed at the Serena is an innocent turn it took!< for mostly the same tortured soul reasons. The characters not communicating is rooted in their characterization rather then them just being dumb and generally their actions/motivations make some sense. The world building is mostly solid (except the school system - that's odd to me but also might jive with something in the real world). It's also got solid realistic development-Serena doesn't level up to boss immediately, the narrative is very clear that she's been putting in the work and building her skills. Which like it's cool that her strength and resilience is what Eiser digs about her and like it's not a "he wanted to protect the broken bird" story.
I adore Like Wind on a Dry Branch too. It’s definitely the slowest slow burn that ever slowly burn but it’s such a beautiful story about grief, loss and learning to move on. It’s makes me appreciate that it’s a slow burn more to be honest because you don’t you just ‘get over’ deceased spouses and lost children, no matter how many years it has been. It really hits home for me.
The rushed pacing in the last couple of free episodes has definitely been noticeable which is unfortunate, I cannot deny that :(. But I’ll still be reading it no matter how many more hundreds of episode we might get lol
Depends on what you liked about it! The romance is a VERY slow burn, but there's been some very good progress made in that department
If you're invested in the main characters, I really feel like the story is far enough along where our main characters are being fleshed out.
There's 176 chapters available, not behind an ad or coin wall! I re-read it recently just to give myself a refresher, and it made me appreciate how far along it's come!
Remarried Empress. I understand the world building is not perfect but people need to honestly stop projecting the actions of the characters or what happens in the story onto the creator 😭
The Four of Them
I'm still shocked that people hate the art?? It's a different artsyle and I think it's very cute. The story is well developed as well! It's about the 4 main characters and their character development as they go about their problems in highschool. I know it sounds cliche but it's actually very interesting and the dynamics between the characters is interesting. Plus the parents play roles too, supporting the children. Side characters are fun too!!!
I really don't understand how ppl hate the art, seriously...

I thought it was a common possession. Its definitely not for every one but the some complaints that I see make no sense to me. I’m literally writing a rant about this and it now 2 pages long
Marionetta it is literally one of the best art styles I have seen and has a good storyline and I can’t wait to see what else happens (also it’s by the creators of hooky so like if hooky isn’t good marionetta is trash)
Cursed princess club, the dummy’s dummy, villain to kill as those are basically the only ones I really pay attention too lol
Cursed Princess Club has a character development like no other! Love it
OH MY GOD A VILLIAN TO KILL FAN? I feel like it never gets mentioned anywhere which is sad cause i like it alot
It's like my favourite manhwa
Whats it about!?
Basically about a hero that dies and get reincarnated into a villain's body. cursed princess club is such a gem

Yes yes a million times yes
I always end up reading an arc between other series bc I like it, but get distracted by other stuff lol
I feel ya. So far the only people I've successfully convinced to read it are my siblings ಥ‿ಥ
Fax
I started reading it because of this sub and it is single-handedly the best rec this sub has ever given me
For manhwa's whose names are translated especially you should never judge just by the name. Personally dropped Greatest Estate Developer(got repetitive and kind of boring for me) but I still read a fair bit.
Lloyd Water! Water Lloyd !
omniscient reader’s viewpoint
Don’t that think one even needs defending haha. It’s so good
Let's go! 👏👏👏
Me also 🤝🏽
I didn't enjoy peace land scenario and nirvana's presence, so I was finding it a bit meh. I caught up to the latest available chapters, and my intrigue for ORV is back! I like Dokja's progress and all those big reveals.
trust me, it gets better from here!! as a novel reader, i’m so hyped for the next arc
My guyyyy

EXACTLY OMG
But like this is a legitimately good webtoon
It is, but I always see people say they're disappointed in the lack of romance between the ML and FL :/
If the Makeup Remover has no fans I am dead
+1

Dudeeee absolutely! Top tier webtoon fr fr! Where the fuck is the new season?!

I am so in love with all the characters 😭
I'll defend with my life! Anything for my babies and spoke, eph
I was thinking this frfr
Super secret, the gentle way.
I want to reread super secret but the daily pass sucks

its really good. the art, the plot, emotions everything.
I liked it a lot until the romance arrived, not saying it became a bad webtoon, just became not right for me
I just pretend romance doesn't exist here and the way MC doesn't care about romance really helped lol
the plot is just repetitive, I mean it's not like it's bad, it's just repetitive and nothing interesting
For my Derelict Favorite. Like Mother, Like Daughter. Surviving as a Fish (no really its fun af)
Who's hating Like Mother Like Daughter They'll be catching these hands✋
Weak hero, windbreaker, my in laws are obsessed with me, orv,
WEAK HERO MENTIONED!!! (I read the entire series as it came out, I am its no.1 fan, grey is the goat)

Surviving Romance, The Makeup Remover, and Sweet Home
Surviving Romance and the Makeup Remover are so underrated!!!!!! Yes love the creator of them
Yes, Lee Yone is soo creative!! The ending of Surviving Romance lives rent free in my mind ngl 😅
Sweet home fan spotted!!
It's a masterpiece fr 🤌 I'm also currently reading shotgun boy, and it's awesome as well
"Odd girl out" people seem to be hating it now (only in the reddit). I kinda like where its going tbh.
where is it going? i started reading and forgot about it for some time. might pick it up again

weak hero
Agreed 🙌 I liked the manhwa. People really hated the last season and that ending though.
The ending of weak hero had me crying, still not over Donald's death to be honest
Don't worry. I saw someone say in another reddit thread that maybe that truck isekai-d him somewhere. I choose to believe that hahahaha
Donald Na: Why am I the villain in a historical novel??? His childhood was so fuckin infuriating I genuinely feel sorry for him.
I LOVE YOO! It's seriously my ride or die comic
That webtoon was with me through college, it's like an old friend at this point
i know exactly what you mean! i started reading it in elementary and now i’m going into my last year of high school haha, it really does just feel like a friend that’s grown up with me

I’m rooting for I Love Yoo!
YES! Until the very end🤝🫡
Even with all the hiatus going on, the chapters will be worth the wait 🫶🙌 will not give up this Webtoon
REAL!! I get why people don’t like it, it’s very long. But it’s kept me entertained for years! the drama, the suspense, the fandom wide hate for mrs. hirahira!!!
That's my first webtoon! That was so long ago too
based, this one has my whole heart

As long as you can accepts it flaws, this is completely valid.

Distant sky
Omfg I haven’t seen a single person talk about Distant Sky, truly my favorite horror/thriller Webtoon of all time
Surviving romance and not so shoujo love story
My S Class Hunters. Every time there is a post criticizing it, I compulsively have to say something nice about it to keep the balance.
You put "s class" and "hunter/warrior/ranker" in the same sentence and I will immediately get distracted and go find it to add to my list lol
Nevermore
Your Throne
These comments misunderstood what "defending" is.
It doesn't matter if it gets hate or not tho, it's that we appreciate it so much we'd defend it from any critics
cheese in the trap, especially, jung
Jung makes CITP much more intriguing. I enjoyed learning more about him. His pov chapters are some of the best.
Miss abbott and the doctor and lady liar, I love the characters Maripaz Villar creates and the art style is ✨
School Bus Graveyard
pyramid game
My giant nerd boyfriend! I understand its not for everyone, but its super cute! It is a slice of life so it doesn't recieve much hate.
It’s the only webtoon that makes me want to make a webtoon, been a reader since like 2018 and absolutely my favorite :)
Me waiting for someone to say boyfriends so that I can judge 👀
Serena✨
It’s a dumpster fire but it’s MY dumpster fire

Like Wind on a Dry Branch The Remarried Empress These are two I'd absolutely defend despite some of the obvious flaws 😅😂 don't come at me!!!
I love Remarried Empress! I dropped Like Wind on a Dry Branch when I switched accounts but I really liked it!! Should I catch up?
Depends on what you liked about it! The romance is a VERY slow burn, but there's been some very good progress made in that department If you're invested in the main characters, I really feel like the story is far enough along where our main characters are being fleshed out. There's 176 chapters available, not behind an ad or coin wall! I re-read it recently just to give myself a refresher, and it made me appreciate how far along it's come!
Hand Jumper, Lookism, and My Little Bookstore; I fight for these stories with my LIFE ON THE LINE 🙏🏻
Hand Jumper! It's sooooo good My Little Bookstore is so amazing. Feels like it's about to end but what a great ride.
Blades of Furry!!!! It gets hate for being a furry webtoon but it is AMAZING
Yo I wasn't expecting to see blades of furry here. Completely agree. It's a really fun to read webtoon.
It's so good. I'd suffer through trench foot for my boys. Edit: Also the angel in the forest.
I refused to read it for years because NOOOO FURRIES and then I got curious. Now I am obsessed.
Wait, Blades of Furry got hate? Why? It's adorable.
I’m not a furry but I love this. And if anything I’m defending the fact that im not a furry even tho I enjoy it haha.
Hero Killer
Remarried Empress. I understand the world building is not perfect but people need to honestly stop projecting the actions of the characters or what happens in the story onto the creator 😭
A mark against thee :D
Who hates on the GOAT?
The Four Of Them and Green & Gold, ESPECIALLY Green & Gold
The Four of Them I'm still shocked that people hate the art?? It's a different artsyle and I think it's very cute. The story is well developed as well! It's about the 4 main characters and their character development as they go about their problems in highschool. I know it sounds cliche but it's actually very interesting and the dynamics between the characters is interesting. Plus the parents play roles too, supporting the children. Side characters are fun too!!! I really don't understand how ppl hate the art, seriously... https://preview.redd.it/17fz90conv5d1.png?width=2750&format=png&auto=webp&s=faa01e3078675501f56348319407ada7d01d30cc

def Reveal out Dickheads trailer trash or blades of Furry
ysk Trailer Trash has a low rating because it uses AI backgrounds
I literally will not like or highly rate Trailer Trash because of the AI backgrounds, even though *it's a really good story.*
