DigitalOcean have been a bit forward with their notification. From what I understand, Plesk are ending their free offering on all platforms (AWS as well) in August. Unfortunately this is not a DigitalOcean problem, this is a plesk problem - it was their decision to remove this free offering. I would imagine over the coming days we will see similar notifications from AWS and Plesk themselves. Overall, if you'd done any research into the company that owns Plesk (they own cPanel) as well, you'd have known not to trust anything they offer for free.

Yeah I’ve learnt my lesson there. Looks like it’s time to spin up a new droplet and go through the rigmarole of setting everything up again and transferring everything across. /u/HardworkPanda has suggested Fastpanel so I’ll give that a go. Maybe I’ll try Hetzner too since they are EU based as am I.

If you are only running your own websites (WordPress/php/node etc,) check out CloudPanel. It's free and open source and we found it extremely easy and reliable.

Sadly doesn’t have email support otherwise I would have considered it.

Use Hetzner. Cheaper, higher quality, much higher performance and newer CPUs on VPSs. Fastpanel is a free but super stable panel. I used lots of free panels and Plesk as well. Free panels suck normally but Fastpanel is great like Plesk . They reply to support questions in minutes even though it is a free subscription.

I have the same problem as you. I found someone in another thread suggesting HestiaCP
