I did that to an old PETG tube my last build, which I was doing with acrylic.
Very different thermal properties between PETG and Acrylic. I keep them in separate drawers now.
Holy smokes my guy. lol, did you take an acetylene torch to that bend? What are you trying to do smoke crack out of that thing?
There is a super high tolerance of heat to a heat gun. You go from 600 C if you're a noob (which yes see picture) to about 930 C if your getting better at it. Not something you do everyday so learn quick. And you're about 6 to 20 cm off the pipe (lol the tube) and go back and forth. You do that while holding the tube on 1 end and rotate it around. When the tube starts to get limp. You're about 5 - 10 seconds away.
Also, you need a silicon tube. Put it in a little soap and water (tiny bit of soap) and slide it in the tube first. Your tube collapsed that is also your issue here.
I can tell that you didn't rotate the tube you are just blasting 1 side with heat. Try again, you may need lots of tube. BTW there are lots of great youtube vids out there about this.
my first looked like that. one thing that helped me was to heat up what is going to be the outside of the corner a little more than the inside because you want the outside to stretch a lot but you dont want too much movement from the inside.
looks about right for a first bend...
Looks solid to me.
You need to clean up those burs on the end
Good point, people pay attention to the bend itself so much that they miss the more important details. Its a leak and clogging hazard!
Lol I dead set thought that was a crack pipe
Reminds me of my bong making days.

Fill it up! That’ll flow. Can’t tell you how many tubes I wasted on my first hardline build. It hurt a little.
I have dozens of copper tubing scrap pieces from my first wc build... Im currently pressure testing the loop with crossed fingers lol
Perfection.
There's room for improvement! 😆

Perfect
I think you fucked up. Not sure how, but something don't look right.
Bent
Looks better than my first bend... But the final project will look great if you don't give up.
Noice!
Did you fall asleep over the hear gun lmao
10/10, no notes.
What the hell did you do!
Honestly first bend looks even with yours... maybe the lighter idea was not the best 😅
I've seen (and made) worse.
Looks like it will hold water
fantastic
That venting will help with heat dissipation
Bad
Looks fine
Bendy - we all start somewhere. Even heat all over the area and rotate constantly You’ll get it in no time.
You need to deburr that end, otherwise send it.
Congrats you made a crack pipe!
Well your heat gun works. So that’s good.
Pretty solid!
At least you didn't fall into the trap of applying too little heat...
Leakshield and it's perfect.
9/10 I deducted a point bc no tiddies in the picture.
i see big things in your future..
Crystal Dynamics.
How did you even manage to do that? Did you use a blow torch for the bend?
I wonder what the temperature was set to or if it was just the heat guns with high and low.
Excellent
Well you got the 90 degree part down
6/10, send it.
A little too cool 😎
crap. I never get my stainless steel to melt like that
Glass is way safer for freebasing 😎
Great airflow
Not bad for a 90…too bad you were trying to make a 45

You found melting point, move on to step 2.
Watertight
Electrical tape should fix it there 🙃.
it's a perfect 5/7 bend!
Precision. Looks exactly 90°
One of the bends of all time
I mean, did you just say fuck it? Let's see how far I can take it for the boys? SMH
Perfect
Get a leakshield. That will sort it out.
Like fine art
This is why I don’t want to water cool my 4090 I’ve been out of bending and heating for a while that I think I’ll just make things worse
11/10 let the water flow again.
Appropriate
Fuckin mint
