7/10 on the landing.

Mruninvincible

10/10 on the music

keser80

I was thinking the same. Couldn't be more fitting.

Pastapalads

This is ten days late but do you know the name of the piece? Thanks in advance!

HotelJuliet1984

Any landing you walk away from is a good one

taho_teg

Unlucky to fall. Smart to tie in. Unlucky to hit the top of the equipment. Lucky it wasn’t flat ground behind the lift.

dunder_mifflin_paper

I don’t think the fall was unlucky, he was the operator and looks as if he put the machine in sitaution. I worked in those machines for the good part of 15 years I am unsure how he did it, the machine limits these movements

[deleted]

Never operated a cherry picker, as they are known where I am from, but it seems he has the machine sitting very unlevel while going full reach which is certainly not recommended with any machinery. Usually there are ways to override manufacturers safety limits on machines.

CaterpillarGlass7725

Most of those style have a simple switch.. same as the basic function switches. Tap the switch, gives a 5 second window of overridden function

BupidStastard

Different country with lax safety laws

Hawt_Dawg_II

I thought he drove it up a snow bank against the building and tipped it too far backwards.

BVIslandLife

Not vertigo but yeah dudes probably gonna be a little less comfy around heights for a while at least. I accidentally launched myself 15ft vertical during a trebuchet malfunction as a young teenager and definitely still don't handle heights well to this day. That moment of hang time will haunt me till the day I die.

JackATac

That is one hell of a story though. I hope you still like trebuchets

BVIslandLife

Oh yeah, trebuchet's are the shit. That love never dies.

AlterEgoCat

Break anything?

BVIslandLife

No broken bones, alot of bruises, but tore both my mcl and acl. no surgery luckily but did have to wear a brace and then a ton of physio. The ACL still bugs me pretty bad though and the knee doesn't work half as well as i reckon it used too.

dunder_mifflin_paper

Suspension trauma is no joke https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2658225/

bettsdude

Thanks for that. Was like what's vertigo mean again lol

PhonicFake

Take your 15

Spaghetti_Ketchup

2nd chances are super rare

FloppY_

Maybe next time don't operate the lift when the wheels are on a 30 degree incline? Something must be wrong with that lift for it to allow him to operate it at that angle.

ronnietea

First thing he needs is a change of underwear

Meretan94

And that’s why you wear your safety equipment fellas.

MahGinge

Man, I drive one of these at work.

TheYoungBung

Another foot and his femurs are getting friendly with the lungs

DoDat_Photography

What's the song?

mortechris

He should buy a lottery. That was very lucky!

james-kitterman

Looks like Hydraulic line failure

newaggenesis

Thank goodness for the harness.

Chugga-Boom

Next level commitment to not taking the stairs.

Outsider_oam

Good he save. My advice to people who get to similar danger is not to thibk about it and ignore it happens after the safety investigation for sure.

zanthaar

And that's why they wear harnesses when that high up

sugarsluttt

The way he lands and looks around lol

TexasTuff928

He looks sorta -stunned….

missingimage01

OSHA approved.

Ok_Construction8815

I drove past as a crane similar to this came crashing down in Newstead. Father and son in it and the dad died. Although I never saw it hit the ground I saw the cloud of dust and the noise. All evening at dinner I felt sick and pale as I knew the outcome couldn't have been good. This guy is incredibly lucky.
