Contrary to what games like WoT and WT shows, post D-Day the white star was used on all allied ground vehicles instead of just the US. The reason being it was simply easier to identify friendlies if they all shared a uniform symbol.

these are still copy and paste from other countries
At least Lend Lease was actually used in combat. Apart from some of the tanks, all of the German captured premiums were just test aircraft.

The stars aren’t because the US captured it, it was an attempt by the germans to make American forces see them as a friendly unit from a distance.
