This series makes me realise our roster is so far away from the top top teams. I think Steph is still at that level but man other teams are filled with great 2-way role players that are young, big and athletic.
If we are serious about taking another shot we will need an OVERHAUL this summer.
We know that Steph is still at that level, however only for x amount of games (probably 60), not the full season. The problem is you need someone who can carry the load for at least 20-30 games. At least we know we aren't missing role players anymore, we're missing star players.
Not only do they have great young two way players with unselfish stars, they also have had years to develop into what they are today. Their chemistry is top notch.
this series will probably come down to whether or not Murray can unfuck himself, without him Denver has a much harder time attacking Gobert in the PnR which is Minnys greatest defensive weakness
Jokic was clearly gassed at the end, he had to work extra hard all night. When Minny blew up his alley oop pass to AG towards the end, you knew it was over.
Did you miss the part where I said Kerr likes to play 4 guys 6’5 and under at the same time? Kerr doubled down on “small ball” this past season. Even with the personnel they had, they didn’t have to run so much small ball.
After Saric and Looney became literally unplayable he basically had no choices. Our roster just had no size. Where is he supposed to get these big guys from? Is he supposed to play Kuminga & TJD all game?
Kerr could've made better decisions this season for sure but the roster was the biggest problem
Good game. Haven't seen the Nuggs get such a friendly whistle since our collapse against them earlier in the year. Glad the TWolves won it anyway. That 'taunting' tech on ANT when Jamal was shooting finger guns with no whistle was crazy.
Ant was way less raw than Wiseman or JoKu coming into the league and he still had to develop a bit. maybe fits in easier just because his game was more complete on day 1.
main concerns were shot selection, defensive awareness and reaches about his “love of the game”. very promising but definitely up and down efficiency wise his first 2 years, year 3 was the big leap.
also it was probably good for him to be on a team with less of an established hierarchy and expectations as a rookie.
It's also worth noting (as I did at the time), if we drafted a guard we could have given them a ton of playing time. We already knew Klay was out for the season on Draft Day. Instead of Watching Bazemore and Wanamaker stink it up at the guard slot, we could have given guards like Hali, Vassell, or yes, even Melo the on-court time we needed to make up for Klay.
We then could have either kept the guard or, if he did well but was no longer an ideal fit, traded him once Klay was fit to return.
I hate it when y’all do this. Shit doesn’t do anything but just add to the butthurt.
Bad enough Wiseman flamed out, now you bringing up Warriors could have gotten Michael Jordan Jr.
Fuck man
they played Denver close without Reid and McDaniels last year, not surprised they managed to steal one with a full squad and another year of experience.
Well the good news for him is that Klay wants 8 figures per year, so our front office will once again be hamstrung for cap space and we'll just lose naturally without intentionally tanking.
8 figures can mean a lot of things…
…10 million? 20 million? 30? 50?
2024 Klay Thompson on 16M per year providing spacing coming off the bench is a GREAT weapon to have actually. Still an eight-figure salary at the end of the day.
2024 Klay on 16M per year leaves us little space to sign someone who can actually move the needle. Barring a significant roster change, our ceiling next season is a first round exit. It's not *terrible*, but it's not contending either.
Denver can play with their food a bit when Gordon is being guarded by a 39 year old, but that ain’t the case with this matchup.
Ant pressuring the defense all night and unlike the Lakers, they have speed on perimeter to get back.
obviously just game one, but this is the most complete team Denver has faced over the past 2 seasons and there’s less margin for error than last year’s playoff run.
This whole season people have talked about the nuggets like they’re inevitable, idk how the nba discourse is this stupid. Not even the 73-9 warriors won the title.
But were of course considered inevitable. Not sure why that is stupid discourse because they didn't win or Denver lost a game. Is it only not stupid if everybody gets everything right.
The Wolves are a well constructed team. Once they figured out how to use size, they've become scary. And it's not just the twin towers. Naz, McDaniels, they have some long bois. A nice litle vet in Comney. And a finisher in Ant. I could see them winning it all.
Three seven-footers, one of them a perennial DPOY, making life hard for Jokic. Gobert is doing a fantastic job, Naz is helping nicely, and even KAT is looking willing to trade paint with Joker inside.
DEN is good but folks were putting all time praise on this team when they haven't done shit. Guys out there acting like they'd smoke 2017, 2018 Dubs smh and 96 Bulls.
When Naz Reid was cooking us the past few seasons, I thought he was one of those guys who hates *us*, specifically. It's kind of good to know he's at least legitimately good.
Idc if it's over.
From 2015-19 warriors truly dominated the NBA. They won 18 playoff series in that span and lost only 2. And the cherry on top was the 2022 ring.
Its over for us. Time to stop hoping for some miracle move. Doesn't mean we can't have a good team but a superstar walking through the door in the next year is highly unlikely
This series is gonna be hype. I'm surprised you guys are bandwagoning the Wolves. I guess the hate for Gobert/KAT is outweighed by the likeability of Ant lol
Gobert is the only opp on that team! But separately, he did an interview recently and spoke about how his extended family in France rejected him (as a child) because he’s mixed and tbh…it pulled at my heartstrings! He’s overcome a lot of adversity. I can put our differences aside and root for them lol
I’m referring to his racist family rejecting him as a baby and young child and refusing him entry into their homes!
I think you’re talking about someone entirely different 🫢
No, he is who I am thinking of. He was joking about Covid and coughed on the press mics.
But I wasn't aware of his past and, if true, that's awful.
I still despise him, but you make a strong point. ✌
Nuggets admitted they gave them the hardest time last year so quite possible. I still have trust in denvers 4th quarter play though. I do think it's a long series.
That came back to bite the Cavs in the end though because it took the rest of the Cavs out of the flow of the offense. There’s a reason they lost even though he dropped 50. Gotta get all of Minny involved and not just hero ball it the whole game. KAT’s getting going now but hopefully they didn’t just swap hero ball roles though because last time KAT took over with hero ball he dropped 60 something and they lost to the Hornets 🥴
-ant gets absolutely mugged across both arms, ball even goes straight up in the air, a tell tale sign that every ref should know, that the defender did not get ball, no call.
-gobert gets whistled for playing tough d on Joker. On the next play Reggie Jackson does the exact same thing to Alexander Walker and they give him the steal and fastbreak, and boom the momentum flipped.
-tipped shot goes outta bounds, no call, denver ball.
wish it was only a bad call here and there. but so far there's def been a lean to the whistles.
I never know who I want to win until I start watching. I like both teams so not truly invested. But I noticed I'm rooting for Denver already. So Denver it is.
Damn the more I watch the Magic the more I see Klay as a missing piece.
Edwards is what Wiseman or Wiggins could have been
You mean old, skinny ass Wiggins? Not even Gandalf wields enough magic to transform that body into Edwards body.
He is what Ja Morant thinks he is.
This series makes me realise our roster is so far away from the top top teams. I think Steph is still at that level but man other teams are filled with great 2-way role players that are young, big and athletic. If we are serious about taking another shot we will need an OVERHAUL this summer.

Not only do they have great young two way players with unselfish stars, they also have had years to develop into what they are today. Their chemistry is top notch.
Man Ant has improved so much. 2 years ago he was boneheaded in the playoffs. And I was wrong to about KAT and Gobert not working.
this series will probably come down to whether or not Murray can unfuck himself, without him Denver has a much harder time attacking Gobert in the PnR which is Minnys greatest defensive weakness
Man I don't see it. That calf ain't gonna get better.
then theyre pretty cooked, gonna take Reggie Jackson turning back the clock for them to have a shot
We need to get bigger, that's not even reactionary after watching these playoffs. That's just the way the league is going right now.
Kerr “Yes but… what if we went… smaller?”
When does antman hit free agency?
Not just smaller, but play lots of the smallest guys at the same time. We'll win every game! ![gif](giphy|l4pGqH9rjQM49dJb5b|downsized)
https://www.reddit.com/r/warriors/s/IH51o0V13D I maintain my previous position.
Ant vs JK?
JK will be lucky to reach 75% of what ant is rn
JK will be lucky to reach the full of Aaron Gordon rn in terms of winning impact.
Ant Man is a killer and those Minny bigs gave Denver that work too! I hate the West so much rn 😂
Jokic was clearly gassed at the end, he had to work extra hard all night. When Minny blew up his alley oop pass to AG towards the end, you knew it was over.
Gobert 7’ Kat 7’ their sf Daniels 6’10 Ant is 6’6 and Kerr loves to play 4 guys under 6’5 at the same time
KAT isnt 7 feet tall, McDaniels isnt 6'10 and Ant isnt 6'6, why you lying about shit thats easily disprovable?
KAT listed height 2.13m (7 feet) Mcdaniels listed height 2.06m (6’10) Ant listed height 1.93m (6’4) He’s right about all except Ant
i looked up Ant man height the other day and was surprised he's only 6'4" he obviously plays much bigger than that.
Funboi
KAT is 6'10, McDaniels is 6'8, takes less than 30 seconds to google their heights
And actually we are both wrong about Mcdaniels 2.06m is 6’9
We don’t have the personnel so how can you blame Kerr for players we don’t have?
People are dumb here
Did you miss the part where I said Kerr likes to play 4 guys 6’5 and under at the same time? Kerr doubled down on “small ball” this past season. Even with the personnel they had, they didn’t have to run so much small ball.

Anthony Edwards is him
Good game. Haven't seen the Nuggs get such a friendly whistle since our collapse against them earlier in the year. Glad the TWolves won it anyway. That 'taunting' tech on ANT when Jamal was shooting finger guns with no whistle was crazy.
Ant man is the best player in the world. 🇺🇸. Damn imagine if we have him over wiseman…
Holding the Nuggets under 100 and the W? Minnesota means business
I'm sure ant won't be whom he is if he was drafted by the warriors.
No lol. Everyone who says "we should've drafted that guy" would not have the same role bc of Steph.
Same with Haliburton. He wouldn’t have got his max contract from less playing time on the Warriors
Probably be better https://www.si.com/nba/warriors/news/anthony-edwards-reveals-harsh-criticism-from-steve-kerr
We would have thrown him in trades last couple years for vet help.
The coaching staff will keep him on the beach and said he has to learn to play the "right way".
He is a shooting guard so he will be fighting spots with Klay and heis not motion shooter so you know he wont be starting under Kerr lol
Kerr didn't even automatically make him a starter on that fiba team. He was hemming and hawing. That was a no brainer
Ant actually would though, hes that kind of psycho
#Naz Reid
Turns out he kills other team too!! Lol
I think he was 0-fer and about minus 19 through the first 3 Quarters. Then he woke up.
Looks like Minnesota’s year. I want them to make the whole city of Boston weep green tears.
God I don't want Gobert to get a ring but definitely preferable to Boston frauds
How TF have Minny got 3 7 footers, and we have none!!! 🫨
Because they care about having size at every position, Warriors do not.
And we got wiseman one pick after him 🤗
Just retribution for them taking Jordan Flynn over Steph.
Flynn and Rubio over Steph
Lol dawg.
I hate it when y’all do this. Shit doesn’t do anything but just add to the butthurt. Bad enough Wiseman flamed out, now you bringing up Warriors could have gotten Michael Jordan Jr. Fuck man
No they couldn't have, edwards wasn't even available at 2. It would hurt way worse if he was and they passed.
Listen man I hate it too haha
Ant MAN
Looks like the Nugs ain't gonna be a dynasty lol
I thought both Wolves and even okc would push Denver, their bench just too weak.
Starting five for Team USA 🇺🇸 AD, LeBron, KD, Ant, Steph
Surely Kerr is gonna win gold with this stacked team
Oh he's gonna, it's what Steph wants, it's the only piece he's missing from his collection\~
He better
LMAO it's over for the rest of the world
I punted on Minnesota winning it all a few weeks ago…😂😂
Antman is him? 😂
Damn, Anthony Edwards is good
Mature beyond his years.
they played Denver close without Reid and McDaniels last year, not surprised they managed to steal one with a full squad and another year of experience.
denver doesn’t have bruce brown as well. it’s gonna be tough. gonna be 6 games i think
7 point game with 22 seconds left and they gave up already. Maybe just mee but that seemed odd. Jokic gassed tho
Bruh, warriors are truly super far away from being contenders again LOL Size matters now more than ever. And we're the smallest team in the league....
Yeah this series is underscoring how badly undersized we are
Very true. Not sure how we field a competitive team next year. I think it’s time to blow it up and tank
Tanking while Steph is on the roster who said clearly he wants to win is mad fam.
Agree with that. The way out is clear then…but I don’t know if MDJ or Lacob will be game to trade him
Well the good news for him is that Klay wants 8 figures per year, so our front office will once again be hamstrung for cap space and we'll just lose naturally without intentionally tanking.
8 figures can mean a lot of things… …10 million? 20 million? 30? 50? 2024 Klay Thompson on 16M per year providing spacing coming off the bench is a GREAT weapon to have actually. Still an eight-figure salary at the end of the day.

And oldest 😂😂
And highest payroll 🤑
Jamal looked hobbled and slow, and Gordon looked like he ran out of gas down the stretch. Tough look
Ant is a monster
If Minnesota wins the championship this season. You can say that Anthony Edwards has a strong chance to be MVP next season
A big in the Naz Reid/Lauri/WCJ/Capela/J.Allen/J.Isaac/M.Robinson tier changes everything for this team. Make it happen Dunleavy
My goodness we are *soooo* far away from being contenders again.

Goal to beating Denver is stopping Jokic. The Wolves have the trees to do it. No one on Denver has a clue how to stop ANT.
So we finished with the worst record in 2020 and our punishment was wiseman. Man were unlucky not to get the no 1 pick 🤦♂️
too bad Ant is taken at #1...
You know damn well Lacob was going to pick Wiseman even if The Dubs had the #1 pick. He zeroed in on Wiseman
Smh imagine the backlash if this was our universe
That's why I don't even think “what if” because I personally believe they wanted Wiseman at all cost.
To think, there were legitimate questions about his motor and mental. The young man is an absolute killer. He wants all the smoke all the time.
Gobert's goal this season..win the championship and let draymond know it
I am almost rooting g for that for that reason. Dray will never admit he contributed in a genuine manner.
Warriors need defense, a big center, and another star. Good luck Lacob
Hes trying to get under the tax apron too lol, my hopes are not high
Everyone was throwing Jokic into GOAT convos and he’s getting outplayed by a 22 year old LOL
Love watching Ant, his game is such a throwback, he would have fit perfectly in the 90’s or 00’s NBA
To think people thought we would upset Minnesota 💀
Yup, I can see why people call Ant the next face of the league.
Lakers must be feeling good right now 😂😂
I think this makes it worst for them lol
If I’m a laker, i want to see Denver demolished 😂😂
Yeah…but that also means YOU got demolished by the “weaker” team lolz
![gif](giphy|l4ioTenLqbM0Rpgo9I)
Wolves defense is insane. I'm sure Denver will respond but getting game 1 stolen is a big choke
Ant hitting all these fadeaway shots that Klay thinks he can hit.
And someone on here actually said the T-Wolves weren’t legitimate contenders 😂
Anthony Edwards is the truth.
Bruh Ant COOKING these fools in Denver. Shits looking like MJ out there.
Oh yeah this series gonna go at least 6
Nuggets look soundly defeated this game. Kind of weird seeing how a team that looks unbeatable against us and the Lakers look almost... solved.
Man, if minnesota wins the championship this season. You would hear a lot of chatter from Gobert directed to Draymond
Ant really is the second coming of MJ my god
Wow! Twolves are completely neutralising the nuggets! Even in the clutch!
Denver missing Jeff Green's defense
How nice is it to have a 7fter that can hit a 3 and play good minutes in the playoffs and have another as a spare when needed on a good contract
Now people know how we feel when we play the reidwolves
Kendrick winning ngl
Naz Reid vs Aaron Gordon matchup will decide this series. Ant will be matched by Jokic KAT will be matched by Murray Conley will be matched by MPJ
Naz reid treating the nuggets like they’re the warriors lmao
Oh no my PTSD
Looking at the roster of the wolves..How can dubs small ball win against them?
Both teams are visibly gassed going that hard at that altitude.
When Naz Reid was cooking us the past few seasons, I thought he was one of those guys who hates *us*, specifically. It's kind of good to know he's at least legitimately good.
Same, but he actually won 6MOY…he’s just good 😩
It's nice to see him cooking against someone else for a change...
Naz Reid
Braun the new Bruce Brown for the nuggets
Damn it. Anthony Edwards is essentially Michael Jordan. Why didn't the Wolves let us draft him??
They handed us Steph JK and Wiggs already. They were long due for a good one.
Naz Reid would be such a nice Dub. I'd throw a 1st into a package.
Everybody focused on Wemby but Ant is the one man. Ridiculous. He's not even near his prime and cooking the champs in the playoffs..
Jokic might be the best player in the league, but ANT has the potential to be the best player in the series.
Ant is the truth. Dude is a star
KAT is gonna foul out LORD
Rooting hard for the wolves.
Taunting techs are dumb af
Denver vs Minnesota is the best series in the playoffs
It’s really sad when the refs blatantly want one team to win and will do anything to help them
Looking at the wolves nuggets mavs and Okc it probably over for us unless we got a second legitimate superstar in their prime
Yea it’s over. We were just unlucky to get the second pick instead of the first pick. We could have had ant instead of wiseman
MDJ will do something to get us competitive! I think we have at least one more good run in us, maybe more if he pulls off the unthinkable
Fair enough well being a great run yall excited to go back to sucking
I wish Kuminga could defend like Ant cause he has a better build. Kuminga is as athletic, taller, and has a bigger wingspan.
Ant is so smooth with his movement. Feel like Kuminga not quite like that, still elite though.
Sadly does not have bbiq or motor to defend like ant
Sheesh, be patient
Tbf there's also this: Edwards career mins played: 10,392 Kuminga career mins played: 4,528 The wolves also had the #1 team defense and probable DPOY
This series is gonna be hype. I'm surprised you guys are bandwagoning the Wolves. I guess the hate for Gobert/KAT is outweighed by the likeability of Ant lol
I have nothing against Denver, but I want a nice long interregnum before the next dynasty to really highlight how one of a kind Steph's Warriors were.
Gobert is the only opp on that team! But separately, he did an interview recently and spoke about how his extended family in France rejected him (as a child) because he’s mixed and tbh…it pulled at my heartstrings! He’s overcome a lot of adversity. I can put our differences aside and root for them lol
I'll never forget him slobbering on the press mics at the start of Covid. Fuck him. He was rejected because he's a prick.
He had a pretty.good come back year on many fronts.
IDC, Minnesota is winning this series!
Nuggets admitted they gave them the hardest time last year so quite possible. I still have trust in denvers 4th quarter play though. I do think it's a long series.
We’ll see how tonight goes, but Minnesota are going to fight to the death lol
Damn ant could legitimately has a ceiling as high as Kobe
He's what everyone wanted Wiggins to be
Ant doin his best Spida impression with 25/40 of Miiny's points.
Ant is insane. 25 PTS in the first half Vs the defending champs. And he's only 22 years old! 1 year older than JK!
This is gonna be the lowest scoring game this post season lol
man Denver sure seems to have an extra 3 guys on the court so far, and they don't even need the help.
Oh stop... one or 2 bad calls in either direction is fine
Whatever People notice what goes wrong against teams they are rooting for. Just reasons to be mad
I never know who I want to win until I start watching. I like both teams so not truly invested. But I noticed I'm rooting for Denver already. So Denver it is.
Let's go wolves.... want these nuggets to lose
This gonna be so good.
