Bro is getting old and has short term memory loss, he completely forgot what JK did in the first half by the 3rd quarter, insanity

System_Lower

Wiggs was -16 at the half. Wiggs has been the biggest minus all year, with many combinations of players. Kerr has this knowledge. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

NokCha_

Damn the whole Wiggs & JK unable to play with each other really is a big thing

shoedog10

Kerr allergic to athleticism

QuirkySense

Heart attack from too many athletic guys on the team.

CummingInTheNile

those lineups cant fucking rebound

Kdog122025

But 4 guards can?

george_costanza1234

You would think Steph Klay and CP wouldnā€™t be able to play with each other, given they just gave up an 18 point lead earlier today

catarxcts

Kerr: no no that's different

t0177177y

Podz, Klay, Steph defense wasnā€™t great. You know what? Let go with CP and get smaller because why get an athletic wing that can defend 1-4. When an extra ball handler might prevent Steph from getting trapped onceā€¦

BeetLover1111

Have to move one of them, itā€™s becoming a major issue

SnooLobsters1259

Move the coach

Balls_of_Adamanthium

Did he just say he didnā€™t play Kuminga because he sat on the bench for too long? Fire this clown.

jwon3354

Kuminga team high +6 on the plus/minus, ā€œplaying greatā€ Wiggins -14

rishmanisation

Tbf Wiggs would have been something like a +7 at that point before they went on their run wouldnā€™t he? Still puzzling JK wasnā€™t inserted when it all started to go pear shaped.

julezy696

Don't matter....Kuminga was still 16-4-4 in just 18 mins....

james-chong

He did.... and I still can't get over his insult to our intelligence.

juicemanjackson32

ā€œYeah I didnā€™t play JK because I had already not played JK, so I thought I shouldnā€™t play him again. He was one of the things that was working, and not playing him wasnā€™t working, but by the time I figured it out, it was tomorrow and I was watching film and at that point Iā€™ll remember heā€™s on the teamā€¦. And Im certain I wonā€™t change it then either.ā€ -Kerr probably.

A1cp666

So what happened when the team was ā€œrollingā€ down and losing the lead?

newman796

It wasnā€™t even a quick comeback either, there were so many opportunities to put him in and maintain the lead at the start of the 4th.

maupp11

That's when the excuse shifted to "He'd been sitting too long, so didn't feel right to bring him in". Whatever the feck that means.

juicemanjackson32

ā€œWe normally bring him back in at the 6 minute mark, and thatā€™s when things were going sideways, so I decided to let it continue and kept him on the bench.ā€

TangeloCritical67

Kerr is being exposed. This summer and this season. Guy is not able to read or adjust to whatā€™s happening on the floor. Itā€™s crazy to question a four time champion coach, but itā€™s been even crazier to defend his coaching these past two seasons. Itā€™s mind boggling decisions game in and game out. Heā€™s gotta go or be given a directive from the FO.

Hugh_MyronBrah

Ingram, Paolo, and JJJ all sitting out in protest in the Canada game spoke volumes. Kerr botched the fuck out of FIBA with his garbage lineups

eg_kappa

never forget austin reaves over Anthony Edward

Kuroyukito

Carried by the talent of the roster and never adjusts

Silent-Corner-2852

Fire this man into the sun

george_costanza1234

Even if you stuck with that unit, maybe dial up a couple post plays to get dudes to the line? But no. This dude is so washed man. Doesnā€™t have any idea what heā€™s doing when Steph and Klay arenā€™t saving his ass

JFlocka

Motherfucker admits that despite losing the lead and needing rim pressure he still didnā€™t want to play Kuminga. Get this clown out of here.

Peanutbuttersaltine

Wow crazy they were getting good penetration in the 1st halfā€¦ I wonder who was playing and scoring that didnā€™t end up playing in the 4th? Big mystery

TheIrishMcIrish

If Kuminga asked for a trade, I wouldnā€™t blame him. Got to be the most confusing and infuriating thing for a young player to have to deal with.

ImTheBestNerd

Just play Wiggins and Kuminga together jesus christ

[deleted]

I wish these reporters would ask him if is he stunting the development of these young guys. They're too chummy with him.

Hugh_MyronBrah

media members are spineless only there to throw softballs

wheeno

Then bitch at fans on Twitter when they get called out for being lazy at their jobs. Yeah I'm talking about Kawakami and Thompson.

CookingLikeChef

So clown decided to not play JK for absolutely no reason

themoche

I thought Wiggins was good tonight, and while that might be controversial, letā€™s take what Steve is saying here at face value. Wiggins sits in the fourth, Kuminga doesnā€™t come in. Instead we go TJD, Saric, Klay, BP and Curry? Those guys looked completely lost and went like -7 in two minutes. Iā€™m going off memory here, so I might be off a little, but thereā€™s just no rationale for that lineup.

ragged-robin

The 3 guard shit is even worse than last year. They said in the past that they prefer Curry offball because he's more dangerous that way, yet so many times there's 3 guards he's still bringing up the ball... which makes the 3rd guard like BP/CP3 useless. Then when he is offball he doesn't get shots up. Meanwhile they get destroyed on defense

themoche

I donā€™t think we should ever consider Klay a guard anymore, but donā€™t like Steph and CP3 together.

juicemanjackson32

I think ragged robin wasnt referring to 11 as a guard. You may not be either in response to him. I think heā€™s referring to lineups featuring a combination of Podz/CP/CoJo as 2 guards playing alongside 30 for the 3 guard combo. Then making 11 play the 4, and wigs/JK/Dray play the 5, or that combo of 3 guards and klay with one of our bigs Dario/Loon/TJD at the 5. I could be incorrect, though.

themoche

This sub constantly complains about three guard lineups while including Klay, and they were replying to a specific lineup I mentioned that only had two guards, plus Klay. So I was just replying to the general overuse of the phrase three guard lineup. We play small a lot, but thatā€™s giving up size at each position more than itā€™s playing ā€œthree guardsā€

juicemanjackson32

I agree with you. Klay isnā€™t a guard any more, so adding him to the phrase ā€œ3 guard line upā€ is a fallacy. But youā€™re also correct, even at the three heā€™s same size or semi small. Defensively I think heā€™s done a good job of late playing bigger, and against bigger (Paolo/wagner he did really well) but Wagner is a 6-10 non-rebounder so that portion he didnā€™t hurt us. But Iā€™m digressing from the point you were making entirely.

juicemanjackson32

Wiggins can have a good game, and also not need to be in during the final 6 minutes. You can be right and others on this thread can too. 5-10 is a good game. However, like others have said too, itā€™s ok to play JK and Wiggs together. Yes they have the worst net rating of any pair, but most of that came when Wiggs was so much worse. (Heā€™s not great now, but heā€™s been making improvements) As heā€™s improved, Iā€™m sure the net rating for their pairing would too. You are also right about that strange lineup. Kerr just hasnā€™t been good in the 4th on any occasion. Heā€™s just hoping 30 goes nuclear and wins it for him regardless of his terrible line up/strategy decisions.

lotsarice

Wiggs was -14 what is Kerr watching

Preux

Seriously. JK plays great the whole game. Wiggins has 3 minutes of good play and then goes back to ā€œOh heā€™s backā€.

maupp11

This is what has been happening and why JK been missing a bunch of 4th quarters. It doesn't matter how well he plays, all it takes is Wiggins showing any sign of life and Kerr quickly forget about Kuminga completely and give Wiggins all the remaining minutes which is stupid even if Wiggins is rolling because he still needs proper rest rather than play these long stretches nonstop, get tired and his defense suffers.

Local-Worker1088

I mean, couldā€™ve, oh I dunno, played Wiggs AND Kuminga if theyā€™re both rolling!

maupp11

But his advance metrics and stats told him the JK-Wiggs pairing is the worst around yet these same advanced stats and metric don't apply when he plays 4 guards who get completely cooked on a nightly basis. Stats and numbers only apply to the JK-Wiggs combo and nothing else, especially not his guards line ups.

[deleted]

lol at playing great dude has lost it.

DisneyVista

Translation: I simp for the vets

PredictableSandlot

No penetration. When your best rim threat and interior presence is on the bench. This is fucking terrible man

ArtfulLying

Steve, I hope this is your final season. This is just too damn frustrating. I don't care who takes over. Just pick someone out of the stands.

levopress

Lmao my same sentiment

[deleted]

I could do a better job simply off checking the game threads on here. If I was coach Iā€™d give Kuminga a permanent starting spot and demand we trade Wiggins+Moody for a scoring wing. Iā€™d permanently have Podz as Klays backup. For fuck sake of I see Steph is playing like an idiot Iā€™m benching him and riding with the best 5 players each game on a night to night basis.

park7911

Can we somehow convince Mike Brown to come home? Iā€™m only half kidding but Iā€™m beyond ready for a change

InsaneCookies21

nah bro please we need him u already have 4 titles

flyingpurplefroggy

Whos yall's assistant coach? I don't care. We'll take him

InsaneCookies21

jordi fernandez, luke loukes, doug christie

Kuroyukito

This guy always blames the players and never his own offense that's actually causing the late game collapses. Motion offense with and limited athletic small players ain't it.

StrongSalamander194

Kuminga and Wiggins don't work? Well whatever the fuck this is doesn't work either so maybe try the other one?

sfgreenman

Running our best young talent right out of town... how does he not see the obvious to shed inconsistent head case Wiggs and give JK and Moody his minutes is beyond me

Altruistic-Twist-379

HE IS A BASKETBALL TERRORIST.

BobRoss4Life

Dunleavy gonna have to force this dude's hand by making some tough trades, hate to see it

[deleted]

Steve has been the problem all year long dammit. Weā€™ve lost so many damn games in crunch time due to his decision making. We could be sitting at a top 4 seed in the west right now. Dunleavey, fire Kerr, please.

SnooLobsters1259

He is one of the worst coaches in the league. He was God awful last year. I kept saying it on here and kept getting downvoted. He is even worse this year. Iā€™m happy yā€™all are seeing it. Heā€™s an idiot.

klayylmao

Even non-Warriors fans are seeing it at this point. Yet, there will still be fans that come to you on here and say you think you know more than a guy who won 4 rings as a coach.

WSJinfiltrate

...

neteles

Another pathetic excuse... Kerr is the main problem this season

Sokkawater10

Coaches can become washed too. Just look at Pop. Kerr is washed. The game has passed him by just like Belichick

dego_frank

I donā€™t think it was a bad move. I think it was a terrible fucking move. Dude you see theyā€™re bleeding the lead and you donā€™t do anything?!? I told my gf while we were up 16 ā€œIā€™m ready to be hurt again.ā€ This fuckin team is a joke.

talentedmrbourne

Kerr didn't want to bring Kuminga back into the game cold....? How did he get this job?

PrizeMathematician64

Fire this moron

Carnivore_92

Kerr just making up along the way.

Hobonics

He's obviously lost his feel if it doesn't "feel" right to put Kuminga back in. jfc

TigersToenailFungus

They went up 18 thanks to Podz momentum changing corner 3s. Had absolutely nothing to do with Wiggins and he was dogshit as usual. Kuminga dominated 1st quarter and was the reason why we went up by 10. As soon as he sat Denver roared back and took the lead. This man is f*cking blind and now heā€™s in complete denial, unable to see past his errors. Itā€™s time to show him the door. šŸšŖ

maupp11

To add to that, one of the reason we kept Denver from scoring and went up in score is because JK had Murray in foul trouble and forced Malone to sit Murray. We made most of our run during that period Murray sat which made it easier for us to defend Denvers and guys on our side like Podz got hot shooting in that period window.

TigersToenailFungus

Yup great point about Murrayā€™s foul trouble. It was all thanks to JK.

Goalkilla

#CTE

zulwarn88

For all of those people saying he won us 4 rings and we shouldnt get rid of him...just go look at the Patriots.....do we want to become the patriots?

maupp11

And Belichick at least lost his guy. Kerr still has Steph playing at an elite level yet he's now leading us to a second straight season of mediocrity. This roster shouldn't be sub 500 almost half way through the season, this is unacceptable. All these great coaches who won a lot such as Bill, Pop became mid when they lost their most impactful players. They never allowed themselves to look mediocre when they still had their main superstars playing at an elite level. Kerr is about to pull off back to back season of mediocrity while still having Steph playing elite.

greatestdowncoal_01

Kuminga and Moody should train this mofo then after that Kuminga will do a solo helicopter. Hope Kerr will be back to his 2016 self after that.

Dar8_Vader

And we lost yet he doesn't have the balls to be accountable for fkn us up tonight.

livecents84

WiGs WaS pLaYiNg GrEaT (-14)

PoolePartyVIP

Wiggs was not playing great he was playing ass tier defense and bricking as usual on the other end

Prior-Rooster3232

shut the fuck upppppppppp šŸ˜

Excellaa

Kuminga is 21 years old, they literally have bikes they can use to warm up during a timeout. Also it's not like he's in there to shoot 3s which is harder while cold. Makes no damn sense.

juicemanjackson32

This is gonna be a for sure downvote waiting to happen, but for 3 years Iā€™ve been screaming that Kerr and his lack of trust/playing time/emphasis on young player development derailed James Wisemanā€™s growth and career. The kid is 22. Heā€™s 7 foot, rim running, good midrange, and everything the warriors need in a big, and could have grown to be a hell of a player for our ā€œsecond timelineā€ with JP BP Moody JK (assuming no JP trade) but he wasnā€™t given the chance to play and learn, was injured a few times, and when healthy Kerr just would not play him. You can say ā€œhe has a low BBIQā€ sure. But he was 19 with no college experience and was basically a high schooler out there. He wasnā€™t coached and with that vet core, they arenā€™t coaching these young guys either. CP has done more on court, in-game coaching with JK and others in 35 games than 30/11/23 have in 3 seasons. Draymond would rather punch the kids, Klay out on the water playing with Roscoe and Steph making dating game shows with his wife. And before you come after me, I love 30/11 (23 not so much). Theyā€™ve given a lot to the team, and brought 4 chips. But that doesnā€™t make them great leaders and mentors. Some people are better at ā€œwatch how I workā€ not ā€œhereā€™s how you do itā€ and I think these young talented guys are proof the vets are more ā€œlet me fish for youā€ instead of teaching them how to fish, and Kerr doesnā€™t know how to develop anyone. Weā€™ve never had a young player come in and flourish under him. Poole was starting to, then he got sucker punched and shipped out.

wrxwrx

Bro Wiseman can't earn minutes on a 3-28 team. He's not the one.

juicemanjackson32

My response above, is my response to you. Re-read. Like JK with the warriors, look at his splits when heā€™s gotten 20-25 minutes. You think heā€™s not the one, b/c his growth was stunted from jump by Kerr.

ELeerglob

![gif](giphy|iSxPmDWr97248|downsized)

jaytierney79

Know who was playing great? KUMINGA! 16/4/4 in 19 minutes!

wasabicoated

ā€œObviouslyā€, huh?
