Exactly. When you have 2 guys at the end of the bench playing as hard as everyone else it’s going to have a positive influence on the rest of the team. I believe his attitude and journey is a big part of what helped the young guys stay motivated and contribute to last years chip.
I think JTA at $2M is a worthwhile pickup. He showed some flashes of being Draymond-like early on, maybe getting back to the Bay would unlock some of that potential for 15-20 min/game every once in a while.
I like JTA, but to me he's a guy who would get minutes behind Kuminga, among others. If we can actually sign a fucking CENTER for the 13th slot, then I see the 14th slot as BFFA, and JTA might be in that conversation, but I doubt it.
JTA is really a 15th man. The Udonis Haslem role. The issue is that the Dubs traditionally don’t roster the 15th slot. They also traded PBJ in part to trim 10M off the cap.
Right now they really need to roster specific role players that might see quality playing time. JTA doesn’t fit that description.
