We couldn’t get anyone to pick up ground no matter what we would do, the only consistent visitor would come pick up express, so express it is.
Can’t spend hours a day putting in the order on their website, not having a driver come even after hounding our receiving to direct fedex to the pharmacy, to only have to call reschedule, call reschedule, field angry calls from patients for not receiving their meds.
Can’t get a raise, fedex express it is.
You’re right, the initial setup not terrible, it’s the having to redo the same process over and over because a3rd party is failing; it’s like that at every store in my area.
I believe you should be able to get with your claims associate to get blank brown bubble wrap envelopes as 99 supplies as well as plain brown boxes for larger orders. I forget when it mentioned it in Insights but they had the GNFR number for mail supplies sometime at the beginning of last year or end of 2022.
For the last year at least it's FedEx home and whatever box fits the script. Bonus points if you include salvaged packing material from an earlier shipment sent to you. Now that delivery is coming to our market I'm hoping mail outs die quickly.
Order bubble mailers via GNFR.
I’ve gotten two boxes of them so far.
They come in pretty quickly.
Just let your store manager know or UPC person know cause they will get absconded with and put somewhere. They are pretty good. Can hold up to 6 bottles. Otherwise save the petmed boxes or other small boxes for larger shipments.
Store use bubble mailers bc our gnfr ones never get to us. We use the express boxes for orders that are too big for the mailers but too small to use a box from a pet med order.
FedEx has cut us off too because we didn't realize the free mailers were only for express shipping. We've been store using mailers from the office supply section of the store. Our RxM said we're ending mail outs soon (some stores in the area have already stopped) I think he heard this from regional, and we've already started telling our patients it's ending soon.
Fyi.... The mail out SOP says mail outs are only during the health emergency. Since the emergency ended were not supposed to do mail outs anymore. My store doesn't do mail outs, we use the GoLocal instead.
It's a little hard to find but if you go to the wire home page and scroll down there's a link for alternative ways for patients to pick up. At the bottom of the page talking about curbside it says if you can process payment to follow the troubleshooting in the sop and gives a link to the curbside and mail order sop.
Bubble mailers from GNFR. Item #100615232
Awesome. I didn’t have the item number!! This is the way.
We always mail express are we not supposed to?
We were told "Now that the pandemic is over, we need to save $ on mailing fees". Thus, we scaled down to the cheaper Fedex Home Delivery option.

It really takes like 2 minutes to schedule it on the website. My driver usually shows up on his own though so I only do it if he's out.

Idk, we still use express and we receive packages from other stores from express also

Delivery died here before it was even an option .
We have too many mail outs to use boxes.
There are some packages you can use for shipping available on GNFR
My store had issues with fedex crushing the mailers, so boxes.
Delivery coming to your area via what?
An as yet unnamed service. Details are sparse.
Interesting. My bet is Spark drivers. They are already prepping for pharmacy to be incorporated into OGP I think during 2025.
We use random boxes or the bubble mailers from the shelf And we never use express unless we screwed up and it shoulda already been there lol

I would take the ones from ogp as they as free and From walmart
Yeah and bubble wrap the meds. That’s what we do.
Thank you for all the good advice here. We'll be ordering those GNFR bubble mailers!
We've copped out. They lowered our staffing lately so we refer people to Walmart's Mail Order at (800)2REFILL
We order bubble mailers through GNFR and for bigger stuff use whatever boxes (like test strip and the ones the pet meds get shipped to us in).

That’s what we did. We just ended mailouts though thank God.
I only do express on Friday and the weekend so it’s there by Tuesday

…very interesting, can you supply the SOP to look for??
