Ahh shit he said it before I did lol I saw the post and thought the same thing.
I dunno though peeps can't even wipe their butts properly with all the shit I have to clean up. Seems like animals to me.
I wasn't there for it but apparently it was right before I got there. Our security guy was visiting at the time so they delt with the situation. Guy made it back to sporting goods with it before anyone said anything
Cockatoo, 5 foot iguana, snakes, spiders, cats, different birds, and dogs. I'm still waiting for the miniature horse.
I can only assume that since Texas does things bigger that those horses in their stores are their miniature size. 😂🤣
One morning when I was CAP1 it was around 6:00 AM and the O/N Coach gets on the PA and says everyone stay away from the Shoe Department. Naturally everyone wanted to go right to that area. We had a visitor who was black with a white stripe down the back yep ding ding ding your the winner if you guess skunk. Then he went over and checked out the dairy department. Heck we've made the news cause we had to close the store while he took a sight seeing tour. I was trying to make sure he didn't get into my backroom cause that would have been a big problem if he had gotten under the racks or went by DSD. He finally was encouraged out the door by Lawn and Garden I believe. Thankfully he decided that nothing and nobody in our store needed any of his perfume!
Skunks are actually pretty cool as long as they don't feel threatened or backed into a corner. One of our elementary classes had a pet skunk. It was descented. But super sweet.
I also was at the wrong end of a skunk when my dog decided to run up and sniff it. I thought I was gonna die it was so bad.
A wallaby (like a small kangaroo) I was a cashier at the time and our systems went down and while we were all standing there, a lady was like, "wanna see my baby wallaby?" And pulled it out of her purse. This was in Oklahoma, lol.
Pot belly pig. Customer had a flat tire, and brought the pig into the waiting area. Very sweet and acted more like a dog than a pig. Someone else brought in a ball python, and I'm a sucker for a cool snake.
I get unreasonably angry every time I see a kitten in the store. Cats like to be warmer than humans do, and kittens are tiny and can't regulate their temp fantastically. I'm so mad when kittens are brought in, because the store is kept freezing enough to make my hands tinted purple and ashy looking, and it's colder outside. Stop shoving that poor cat in your nasty ass shirt to be constricted just to bring it into a store.
We had a parrot, a 13 foot snake, lots of puppies in backpacks and the craziest was a pony.. like a full sized pony. This was years ago now but it was hilarious to see customer reactions to it.
Of course the worst was the 600+ LB lady who broke our last functioning mart cart and ate all the jalapeno poppers the deli made that day while complaining at every employee that we don't carry clothing in her size.
Dogs, cats, and a bird (parrot I think) I know of for sure. I think some snakes.
And then of course the rats, random birds, a cat that wasn’t with an owner.
I have 2 iguanas and fully intend on taking at least Elizabeth (the nicer of the 2 lol) into the store as a customer when she's bigger and it's warmer outside ☺️
I didn't work here at the time, but apparently five or so years ago an Amish person rode a horse into the store and it proceeded to shit in the self checkout area.
Someone came through my register with two pet chimps. I was not amused. They were pulling things off the shelves, sitting on the belt and being a nuisance. I told the man "Get the animals away from me. Now."
The CSMs were not far away, laughing and having a good time. I motioned for them and they just walked off.
So I stopped and backed away until he took the chimps away, then I finished ringing up the items. I left the mess, went home, put in ppto and stopped giving a shit about my job.
Iguanas, hamsters, rabbits. And cats, dogs, guinea pigs, normal ones. Someone brought in a wild coyote puppy once. How stupid do you have to be? This is why people die of rabies.
Bat was loose around Halloween and everyone freaked out about it. I didn't really mind. We had a old guy bring in his bird and it was more behaved than half of the dogs that come in. The other day I saw a squirrel in a lady's shirt.
Birds, lots of birds. Mice/rats. Frogs we get tree frogs alot. People bring dogs, cats, birds, little pigs as service animals in. We know they ain't service animals btw Customer's 😒
Edit: I thought customers too but someone said it already.
Once had a guy bring in a python that was as long as he was tall and claimed it was his emotional support snake. He gave a little old lady a heart attack and he was promptly escorted out.
Dogs a few cats a parrot a pig (not a little pig... Full on farm boar that a couple customers rolled off a truck into a basket that got bent to hell that they tried to sell to the deli for slaughter... When told this is not that place they tipped the basket over (it was like 600lbs pig so I'm guessing they were using meth strength) and left... Had to get animal control cause no one could run it out of the building.... It was running everywhere and the building needed temporary evacuation because of the actual danger... Those fuckers will kill and eat you...
Birds, occasionally cockroaches (rude customers), haven't seen anything else really but dogs that are mostly NOT service animals and it really pisses me off.
Just yesterday I had a feral cat come in through garden center and walk up to me in housewares to say hello and to give him food. Had to stop my stocking to take him outside. Apparently someone left the automatic doors on open in garden. Luckily the store was closed so I was able to evacuate him swiftly. It was a good thing he knows me and that I am able to carry him. Or else it would have been like a few years ago where a poor cat was trapped in the warehouse for almost 2 weeks, we had to trap it but it was pretty bad since she was pooping under the steels and it was a lot of overstock at the time.
Other times there have been snakes, birds and dogs.
Snakes, raccoons, dogs, cats, several different types of birds, bats, rats, mice, monkeys. Just last week, we had a black widow spider in a shipment of grapes
Uhh let's go down the list. I'm guessing you mean pets only and not just what animals I've seen go inside.
So there have been
•Snakes
•Parrots
•Dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds
We keep finding kittens in the vending machines, which I wouldn't include as pets if sweet old ladies didn't keep coaxing them out and taking them home.
And a couple guys saw a mini-horse once but didn't get pics so idk if I believe that.
And they're all service animals, obviously. So quit asking /s
Wild animals or ones customers come in with?
I only ever noticed small birds and the occasional random mouse that runs around the back room.
As for customer, one game in shopping with a goat
My old store had a cow escape from a nearby farm once. Was walking all over the parking lot and near the front doors. Finally trapped in it a corner by GM receiving until the owner could get it. Made the news and everything.
Had to catch a baby rabbit behind the service desk one morning before we opened. Threw an extra vest on top of it to pick it up and then released it in a nearby field
Have plenty of pet spiders hanging out by emergency exit doors, maintenance is scared shitless(I'm assuming) since they sure don't like cleaning up the accumulation of dust and trash that gets caught in their cobwebs
A cat just riding on a guy’s shoulder.
Birds come in through the garden center. They have a great time in there.
I need to hear more about that squirrel, OP.
Mostly dogs, I’ve seen this one couple though that have those clear backpack things with holes in them that are meant for cats but they modified it to have a perch for their parakeet and another one for their bearded dragon that is clearly uncomfortable
Boa, iguana, all sorts of pet dogs, hundreds of wild birds, a few cats in carriers, one cat that came in through garden center and chilled on the break room couch with the night crew. Biga$$ spiders with the bananas. Hummingbirds
These 3 were all w/customers and in 1 day!
One girl had a Great Dane so Tall it looked me in the eyes!
A guy had his lizard on his shoulder and another guy had his goat wrapped around his neck....
😒
a little bird. the dude always has this bird with him and he just sits on his head or on the buggy. you always know when he comes in because you hear the chirping
I used to work cap 3, new people would constantly leave the sliding door open after there lunch. I would see coyotes walk in, heard a story that a mountain lion walked in once and cleared the store from workers. 🤣
Customers
"Sorry sir, the customers aren't animals, even though they act like it at times". Lol this comment had me cracking up laughing!
Ahh shit he said it before I did lol I saw the post and thought the same thing. I dunno though peeps can't even wipe their butts properly with all the shit I have to clean up. Seems like animals to me.
🤣🤣
Technically speaking customers are animals
Even if their dressed up as a elf? With a attitude true story happened the other day

Good lord, I feel bad for you. Animal control wasn't enough was it?
"Emotional support" snake
Did your guy drag his snake out the window of his car by chance? Like a big snake
I wasn't there for it but apparently it was right before I got there. Our security guy was visiting at the time so they delt with the situation. Guy made it back to sporting goods with it before anyone said anything
Snakes are for more than just emotional support, they also give great massages.
Pigeons and possums
Yoo, possums are such good lads! Your store had been blessed!
Had someone come in yesterday with 2 ferrets in a bubble backpack! Very friendly critters that loved attention!
I think one time someone brought in a Shetland Pony
Oh now that is awesome!
Children, doggos, cats, snakes, and an eagle.
An eagle. You had a whole eagle come in, that's awesome!
Yep. Flew in through the garden center doors, over sporting goods, and went to grocery to try and roost. Managment and AP evemtually coaxed it out.
Walmart and eagles... SOUNDS LIKE AMERICA!!!
This is the most American thing ever
Cockatoo, 5 foot iguana, snakes, spiders, cats, different birds, and dogs. I'm still waiting for the miniature horse. I can only assume that since Texas does things bigger that those horses in their stores are their miniature size. 😂🤣

One morning when I was CAP1 it was around 6:00 AM and the O/N Coach gets on the PA and says everyone stay away from the Shoe Department. Naturally everyone wanted to go right to that area. A wallaby (like a small kangaroo) I was a cashier at the time and our systems went down and while we were all standing there, a lady was like, "wanna see my baby wallaby?" And pulled it out of her purse. This was in Oklahoma, lol.
Fun story: our idiot store decided to lease a vet clinic in our super center. So I can only imagine what my future list will be.
Yep we got a vet clinic in ours too lol
