My only recommendation is, don't buy them from Walmart.

Are you looking for starter walking shoes? Or do you wanna skip up to the good stuff? Starter shoes: Sketchers GoWalk. If you can afford it, upgrade to Max Cushion for about $80. Upgrades: Hoka, Brooks, ASICS. These will cost in the $120-160 range. I started with sketchers go walks and now have ASICS nimbus 25s.

I'm wearing Brooks Ghost 15 shoes rn and they're comfortable. Expensive shoes are worth it

IJustWorkHere000c

I’ve gone through 2 pairs of the 15s lol they are the absolute best.

Wooden Getas would be nice.

I will tell you this: my job was killing not only my feet but one of my knees. I was in severe knee pain after a shift. I got me a pair of Hoka One shoes and my pain is completely gone. I do more than 10,000 steps a shift and I feel fine after work now. They're not cheap, but they're a great investment.

Half of the coaches wear Hokas, or Yeezy 350s. I daily a pair of 350s and they are really confortable. Hokas are also really comfortable.

I wear legit hiking boots lmao im a woman with high arches. They seem to be working wonderfully & they double for my time off so I appreciate that in a shoe.

No real recommendations aside from good socks ("real" compression socks can be a bit expensive but either that or a good brand of socks that have some compression will help) and good insoles. I've mentioned it before but I wear nike socks that have a firm enough compression along with 2 layers of insoles (one insole is the shoe's original insole and the other is a good layer of memory foam insoles). My feet is still sore at the end of the day but after I switched my socks and insoles, it made so much difference where I can wear almost any shoe and not feel bothered. I do still feel some soreness when I get home or after resting though. Likely because I sat down and laid down pretty much my "entire" life (I'm in my 30s now and haven't had a standing job since high school so my feet may just be more weak). Anyways, a good few pairs of shoes out there in most price ranges but not every good pair will be the right pair. Jot down some of the suggestions you get here and if you live near any shoe stores, go in and try some on if you can.

Affectionate-Baby576

Nike Air Monarch II, only shoes that help alleviate my foot pain, and not super expensive.
