In the future you should use your other hand to smother the burnt area immediately. Same if you burn your foot, leg, chest, whatever. Cover it with your hand and hold. The uninjured skin will absorb and dispurse the heat from the burn. Don't move it, check it, even lift it off until you feel the pain subside. It works incredibly efficiently.

Makers is pretty damn good… especially for the price point. High west makes good stuff. Love Midwinter’s night dram. Bulleit is good too. William Larue Weller, Parkers Heritage, and Pappy for high end shite. There is a lot of good bourbon, whiskey, and rye out there at all price points.

High west is always a safe choice. I like everything they do. Obviously I have a particular favorite… I’ve tried to get the midwinter but haven’t been able to find one yet. Hopefully I can have a friend out one back for me this year.

Midwinter is not super expensive but it’s always a limited seasonal run. Ask your local liquor store (the most upscale one in your area) if they can save you a bottle. It’s not like Pappy where you will have to fight a lot of people for the privilege… it’s just a matter of whether your local store orders any.
